Without further ado, here is the daily horoscope.
Good morning, friends!
Today, we have a grand fire trine, which symbolizes creative juices flowing easily, and quite literally may represent something hot flowing…well, in my house, the thing that has been flowing is…puke, yep, that’s right, my house has the stomach flu. Yay, me!
Thankfully, I had most of today’s post already written, but if it really gets bad over here, I may need to take a day or two off…I’ll keep y’all posted!
Not only do we have a beautiful grand fire trine, but we also have a YOD1, the “Finger of God,” passing through between the Moon, Sun, and Uranus—if anything, making life a little less boring…
Okay, let’s get into…the astrology
Today’s Transits
(All times are in Eastern Time unless mentioned otherwise)
Early in the morning—the Moon in Sagittarius formed a semisquare (45°) to Pluto in Aquarius retrograde at 3:06 am ET—there may have been some emotional tension that could have come from a place of impatience as we are assessing our resources right now and due to frustrating delays to the plan, we may find ourselves tense. Something could’ve come up from the depths and erupted onto the living room floor that you had to deal with, “metaphorically speaking,” of course. Hopefully, you were able to clean up the mess without purging your insides too!
Then, at 8:49 am the Sagittarius Moon squared (90°) Saturn in Pisces retrograde and this may be the hardest transit for the day (and it may color the whole day) as the Moon square Saturn represents a reality check moment where we are asked to make sure that our long-term plans and goals are in alignment with our spiritual purpose. Often this means we receive a “no” about something that isn’t actually in alignment and this can be frustrating as we want that thing to be for us because we are emotionally attached to whatever belief, idea, or way of thinking it represented—this can be hard for the Sagittarius Moon because she feels she has the knowledge, wisdom, and intellect to see things through, but Saturn is reminding her that positivity and optimism cannot replace the hard work and sacrifices that are necessary to achieve success and sometimes that includes giving up certain ideas, dreams, or goals. Saturn teaches us that we have to wait for the divine timing to unfold as it is supposed to happen and that no amount of pushing, pulling, or prodding can make an immovable object move—Saturn can be pretty immovable, hence some of the things Saturn can symbolize are old buildings, old trees, deep mines in the earth, and both the sea and the shore, as both are boundaries that “lock” one in place. Maybe since Saturn is in Pisces right now he is a little more mobile, for the Piscean sea attempts to carry Saturn, and all his limitations, boundaries, and pessimism buoyantly on its back, floating like a buoy in the water. When life gets heavier, the buoy gains density and may sink; when life feels lighter, so is the Saturn buoy—when the Moon or any planet squares Saturn, life feels harder because we are dealing with heavy forces.
By mid-morning at 10:00 am the Sun in Cancer will perfect a harmonious sextile to Uranus in Taurus and this forms the base of the YOD, “The finger of God,” today, between the Sun, Uranus, and the Moon.
The Sun and Uranus working together in Cancer and Taurus can represent an exciting time where there is an opportunity to make what you own, have, or possess, into your “home base.” Or, it could be something unusual that comes out of the woodwork that surprises you, but it is a welcome gift that makes you feel more at ease and in flow with your mission or your identity. This could be an exciting addition to the story!
In the late afternoon at 4:23 pm and 7:56 pm, the Moon in Sagittarius, Mercury in Leo, and Chrion in Aries will all form a grand trine with one another. You can see this in the chart below depicted by the blue lines forming a triangle configuration in the center of the wheel, connecting these three planets.
This is awesome and means that we are on fire creatively! Our minds are in tune with our emotions and inner wisdom and it could be possible that we are receiving intuitive downloads or signs from the the universe today! This is auspicious and could mean positive and encouraging encounters with others, working together well with people, “making friends and influencing people!” Ideas, conversations, and creative juices are in flow!
In the middle of that beautiful grand trine energy the Moon in Sagittarius will perfect a sesquiquadrate (135°) to Venus in Leo indicating that although we are in harmony and flow mentally and environmentally today, there is something that we need or want within our relationships that may still be tugging on the back of our minds or hearts, but this transit means we have to keep it on the backburner—for now. We are doing other things today and our relationship stuff is not really the focus.
The Moon will come into alignment with the YOD formation between 9:56 pm and 10:48 pm when she forms two quincunxes to Uranus and the Sun bringing these two planets together for this dynamic alignment. You can see the YOD formation in the chart below as shown by the two green lines (quincunx angles) and the short blue line (the sextile), forming a pie-shaped triangle.
Let’s break this YOD down between the Moon, Sun, and Uranus. A YOD is a special transit that involves at least three planets and forms a narrow triangle-shaped aspect between the three. The base of the triangle is a sextile (a 60-degree angle) between two planets, a harmonious aspect, representing an opportunity-- and in this case, this is between the Sun and Uranus. Then, those two planets each make a quincunx (a 150-degree angle), which is not a harmonious aspect, but one that represents change and separation-- with a third planet, forming the apex of the triangle, in this case, the apex planet is the Moon.
So, a YOD represents a crisis point, where the energies are stressed and the planets have to figure out how to work with each other through some sort of uncomfortable compromise, usually one that feels “fated” in some way, hence the nickname for a YOD is the “Finger of God,” or “Finger of Fate.”
The Sun and Uranus in a sextile is an aspect that can affect us on a heart level, as the Sun represents our vitality, purpose, and identity, but the Uranian effect represents something sudden, out of the blue, or by surprise that wakes us up in some way—like someone snapping their fingers in front of your face—it is something that grabbs your attention and makes you pay attention to the present moment. The effect of a sextile between the two, in Cancer and Taurus, represents an opportunity to take something you own or have within you (Taurus) and make it your home or family (Cancer). This transit is the base of this Yod.
Then, we have the Moon, forming two quincunxes to each planet. The Moon and the Sun in this angle to each other may bring up uncomfortable feelings about what your purpose is or how you identify right now and the differences of beliefs that you may have to those in your close family circle and this could be challenging. It’s like realizing that you have different ideas, dreams, or worldviews with someone you care about.
The Moon quincunx Uranus brings up revolutionary feelings, out-of-the-ordinary convictions, or surprising beliefs that you didn’t know you had.
But, the YOD formation means that all of these factors will integrate and try to work together to take advantage of the opportunity that started the whole thing. So, there could be something unusual that kind of hits you with a realization about something that leads you to a whole new place that maybe you never thought you’d go or would have the opportunity to visit.
Whatever it is, it feels fated in some way!
We end the evening with the Sun perfecting a semisquare to Jupiter in Gemini at 11:54 pm, which can represent feeling confident and optimistic about things but not quite moving forward yet…there has been movement today with the grand fire trine, but there are still more things on the to-do list that have to wait for another day or for something else to happen before the next step kind of thing, so there is a process that has to unfold here. This transit is like acknowledging the next steps on the path or for the project but not doing them yet. We see the big picture or the finish line, but we are still at the beginning of the trail. This can be tough when you can visualize the end result but you are still in the infant stage. It’s like starting a crochet or knitting project and you know what you’re finished item will look like but you still have hours of work to do.
