Wowie, do we have a big weekend and a big week ahead of us! Actually, ALL of August is big! There are so many transits and revolutionary ones, at that, but we are starting off the month with one that is like a rocket ship blasting off!
Where do I even start…
Starting this weekend, I would like to send out the message to everyone to be very mindful of their body, because the possibility of accidents over the next few weeks, is very high! I would also like to add that whatever transpires over this next month may be life-changing, so do your best to see the big picture. Oftentimes, huge gifts come disguised as challenges and hardships.
There’s so much to go over, so let’s dive in…
Saturday
Saturday morning the moon will oppose Saturn as it crosses over Mercury. Mercury will perfect the opposition to Saturn early Sunday morning, so for all intents and purposes, we will feel this energy all weekend.
Mercury in Leo opposite Saturn in Aquarius will bring up serious decisions that need to be made. There may be a feeling of wanting to do or say certain things, but someone or something comes in and makes you focus on your responsibilities. You’ll have to be an adult this weekend and make hard choices that benefit the bigger picture, even if you want something now or feel entitled to a certain outcome. This is like telling your dad you want to go away for the weekend with your friends and your dad being like, “after you do all your chores.” Daddy Saturn is coming in and reminding you of your commitments and responsibilities and letting you know you’re not going to get what you want without honoring them first.
The Moon opposing Saturn at the same time is going to make this a little bit of an emotional exchange that tests your resolve. Don’t blow up and have a temper tantrum, just wait it out and talk about it later when the transit has passed and your temper is less hot. Some people may insist on getting their way, stomping their feet, and protesting against the limitations that Saturn is administering. Still, Saturn has more essential dignity than Mercury here, and he will win. In my opinion, it’s better to try to be the adult in these situations. Adults don’t freak out, they pause and think about things and come back to them later, if they can’t have a calm exchange, right?
The Moon will enter Virgo on Saturday afternoon. This will cool things down a little bit because we will naturally want to be more pragmatic with the earthy energy coming in. We may see things that need to get done in order to be prepared for this next week. So, this weekend will be a good time to tidy up and attend to the details of your life.
Sunday
Mercury makes the exact opposition to Saturn so that serious decision I said you will have to make comes into full focus today.
Mars is one degree away from conjoining Uranus (exact on Monday), but Uranus and the North Node are making their conjunction by 4:04 PM ET. This may bring a sudden, unexpected event that changes the course of your destiny in some way. Where it will affect you, depends upon where this transit is happening in your natal chart and what houses Mars and Uranus govern.
This year’s transit will be similar, but on steroids, because the North Node is there too--the last time that we had Mars, Uranus, and the North Node in Taurus, was 1855. Mars and Uranus meet up every 1-2 years, but not always with the North Node, so this is big!
To give you guys an example, last year, Mars and Uranus met up in Taurus in my twelfth house and I had a sudden toothache that resulted in needing to get a tooth extracted! About two weeks later, I had a second tooth that freaked out and needed to be extracted! At the same time that I was dealing with literal toothaches and needing surgery (Mars rules surgery), my husband had a tooth that acted up, as well, resulting in him needing an emergency extraction! After all the teeth were gone and dealth with, he also cut his finger at work (Mars rules cutting) and needed to go to the emergency room and get stitches! It was a very busy two or three weeks after the conjunction!
Looking at our charts, it was easy to see how this transit made sense. My sixth house of sickness and health, is ruled by Mars, and my twelfth house of hospitals and institutions, was where the conjunction took place—so I was having a health issue and I had to go to the dentist to have my problem solved.
In my husband’s chart, Mars rules his fifth and tenth whole sign houses and was traveling through his eleventh house. In simple terms, the fifth house has to do with family, the tenth career and his mother, and the eleventh is friends and his audience. First, he had to take me to the dentist to deal with my emergency extraction (helping a family member—11th and 5th). Second, he had to deal with his own tooth acting up and needing to get it removed as well. Thirdly, he cut himself at work while on the phone with his mother (Mars=cutting, tenth house=work, and his mother)! You can’t make this stuff up!
So, think back to what happened in your life in January of 2021. Whatever situations you were dealing with could give you clues as to what areas of your life may be affected by this transit of Mars, Uranus, and the North Node, conjoining in Taurus on Sunday and Monday.
Just to be clear, I am not predicting that everyone will have accidents on Sunday and Monday, I am simply alerting you all to the fact that over the next few weeks we are all a little bit more accident-prone. This transit is like an earthquake in the far reaches of the ocean, creating a tsunami that we won’t see or feel for days or weeks to come. Consider this horoscope like your own personal early tsunami warning system.
I would love to hear about what happened last year. Please share your stories in the comments.
Last, but not least, the Sun in Leo will make a trine with Jupiter in Aries on Sunday. Wow, what a transit to have alongside the Mars/Uranus stuff! It’s like whatever happens, you’ll be able to see the big picture very clearly and you’ll have the agency to act in whatever capacity you need to. The plotline of your life will get a big dose of purpose and meaning.
Last year, during the Mars Uranus conjunction the Sun was in Capricorn, conjoining Pluto, so it was like a huge flashlight illuminating the stuff we were trying to keep hidden—like underlying dental issues!
But, this time, it’s like the Sun turning on a spotlight on the Blue Fairy from Pinocchio and we realize that magic is all around us. This boosts our confidence and optimism.

The card for the weekend is:
Queen of Swords
This queen is beautiful, and she is surrounded by roses that are gorgeous but have thorns. She is also holding a sword that is sharp. Even her crown, though regal and gold, has spikes on it.
This card represents someone who is sharp with their thoughts and their speech. She knows what she wants and what is important to her. She has mastery of all her mental faculties and can see things clearly and objectively.
I think this is a great card to get for the weekend. It is a reminder to stay objective and detached so that we are able to handle whatever happens. Even though people around us may be losing their shit as they experience crises, we can be good counselors or consultants for them. People who are not aware of the energies building up may need our help and it’s up to us to put our big boy or big girl pants on this weekend (this whole month!) and be there to help and provide support however we can.
Despite the ominous transits coming up, I wish you the best this weekend! I hope that for you, it’s winning the lottery or having some amazing thing suddenly happen in your life. If something like that does happen, please share it with the community in the comments! I’m sure we would all love to hear about it.
I hope this is helpful!
Until tomorrow,
AstroMommy

In January 2021, I was making plans to have the remainder of my teeth removed, in anticipation of getting dentures. I had to find and acquaint myself with a new dentist because the one I had planned to go to had suddenly, without notice to me or her office, relocated three hours west into a high mountain town. The final extractions were in March 2021. But , instead of staying in Colorado and getting dentures, I went West to California to be with my oldest daughter and grandchildren. To make a long story shorter, I still don't have dentures due to many unplanned events that have intervened. I know I'm not going to have tooth problems during this current transit. LOL And I don't expect to get dentures during this current Transit. What I expect is to get a job that I really want since the transits are affecting my astrological houses which pertain to working and customer service and paperwork, all things I love to do. So we'll see!
