Comedy Or Tragedy? You Decide, The Play Is In Your Hands.

Welcome to the AstroMommy Newsletter, a daily horoscope that hopes to shine a light in the dark, helping us all see where we’ve been, where we are, and where we’re going. This is a reader-supported publication, meaning it only exists thanks to the generous support of lovely people like you! The two best ways you can support my work are to share this newsletter with a friend and to consider upgrading to a paid subscription. Whether you’re a first-time reader or a long-time subscriber, thanks for being here! I hope you enjoy reading the daily horoscope and tarot reading. Blessings!

To have the last word—on what gets to stay and what gets to go—in your life.  That is the theme for the day.

Today we have the Sun in Leo and the Moon in Libra, and they just finished a harmonious sextile yesterday.  So, you may feel that you know who you are and what you’d like your circumstances to be like; now we just have to put our diplomatic conversation skills to work and make it so.

Mercury will go through the last two degrees of Leo today and ingress into Virgo tomorrow, so this will feel like we need to have the last word on everything.  We may see this in the news, too: people being bossy, asserting themselves, needing to be right, and of course, having the last word on things.

This little idiom, “have the last word,” means to execute the final authority on something and be the one who decides what happens next.

With the Sun in Leo, this is easy, but with the Moon in Libra, this could be tricky.  See, the Sun in Leo doesn’t have any problem asserting themselves because “they know they’re right” and what they say should be the end of it, but the Moon in Libra wants there to be harmony and peace and is open to everyone’s side of the story, so there could be a little heated tension here as the Moon tries to make all the Leo energy more polite and civil.

Plus, the Moon will be making a trine to Saturn and then a square to Pluto today—there will be serious decisions made about the final cuts—what gets to stay in the movie of your life and what goes to the trash bin.  You know what has to be done, that’s the easy part, but executing it is where it gets a little dicey…it’s not always uncomplicated to let go of things, people, or situations that you thought would work out.

With the Mercury in Leo energy, we could come off as pushy or people that you have to deal with could have too much machismo.  We can use the Libra moon energy to keep the peace, and stay calm, collected, and emotionally detached as we make our editorial decisions—what you decide gets to stay, gets to stay— and what you decide has to go, has to go.  This is your life, after all, time to be the powerful editor-in-chief that you know you are.

The card for the day is:

15  IL Diavolo

“The difference between a comedy and a tragedy is that in a comedy the characters figure out reality in time to do something about it.” ~ Bennet W. Goodspeed

Do not be fearful of this card.  The Devil card in the tarot represents facing what we feel may be tempting us or leading us astray, but it also symbolizes keeping our sense of humor, even when life sucks.

The Devil brings up the Saturn-ruled sign, Capricorn: the goat, and the, half-goat, half-man, God of Merriment: Pan. We can use the energy of Capricorn: tenacious, productive, and goal-oriented, to face our problems and at the same time use Pan’s humor and mirth, to get through it all.

My mother taught me her Five Life Principles, one of which is to, Keep your sense of Humor (the other four are: Always do your best; be an informed consumer; trust your intuition, and ask for help when you need it).  This is a time when we all may need to do just that and laugh at our circumstances.  It’s usually easier to laugh after the fact, but I think this Devil card is challenging us to laugh in the present moment.

Time to creatively make a comedy out of your life, instead of a tragedy, by finding a solution to your reality.

Very helpful reading today, Monica! I woke up today thinking along these lines, actually. If I get offered the job I interviewed for yesterday, I'm gonna accept it - and somehow get a ride in the CEO's Bentley! LOL
