Good morning, friends!
Well, I’m still sick, but I do feel a bit better. I am going to post this Weekly Forecast without the tarot card reading and I won’t be producing the read-aloud or YouTube video either. I apologize to those of you who primarily listen to the forecast, but this is the best I can do right now.
I am also going to take the day off from writing the Daily Horoscope Check-in because I just need to rest more. I appreciate everyone’s well wishes! Thank you!
Okay, let’s get into… the astrology
(All times are in Eastern Time (ET) unless mentioned otherwise)
The Weekly Overview
We start the week with the Moon moving out of analytical Virgo and into diplomatic Libra on Monday, February 26, 2024. Things are moving along and have momentum, but there are delays or setbacks or just things we have to wait for to happen or resolve before we can take the next steps.
Tuesday brings Mars in Aquarius perfecting his square to Jupiter in Taurus, which brings a great fighting force and drive that needs to be directed into our long-term goals to gain positive results. The Moon in Libra on Tuesday supports this energy by making trines to Mars and Venus.
Wednesday, February 28, 2024, brings us the most potent transit of the week, which is Mercury, the Sun, and Saturn all conjoining at 9°Pisces 44’. This is the biggest transit of the week and one of the biggest transits of the whole year. Every year the Sun and Saturn meet, but it’s not every year that Mercury joins them at the same time, so this transit brings a lot of weight to the week. My teacher Adam Elenbaas talks about this annual transit as the “Death of Saturn” in that Saturn disappears from our view and “dies” and then is reborn when he reemerges in the sky again, representing a rebirth moment for Saturn. We will talk about this idea a lot in the section about this transit.
On Sunday, we have the Third Quarter Moon in Sagittarius which could indicate some hopeful feelings as we close out this lunar cycle—a spirit of finding the silver lining that will carry us through to the next New Moon in Pisces on March 10, 2024.
Let’s take a look at the charts of these three main transits for the week.
Okay, here we go…
Tuesday, February 27, 2024
Mars Squares Jupiter
Mars will square Jupiter on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 3:24 am ET.
We can see Mars at the lower left-hand side of the chart in Aquarius, co-present with Venus and Pluto. Jupiter is in Taurus on the lower right-hand side of the chart, co-present with Uranus.
The Moon in Libra is at the top of the chart, applying to make a quincunx to Jupiter, then a trine to Mars, and finally a conjunction to the south Node and therefore an opposition to the North Node and Chiron in Aries.
Mars is the planet that represents action, drive, and force, and Jupiter is the planet of abundance, unification, and our long-term vision. The square is of the nature of Mars meaning that it represents taking action, using energy, or force to make things happen. Mars is the lesser malefic and Jupiter is the greater benefic and they stand for very different things. Mars likes to destroy, tear down, and force things to happen with his will, and Jupiter likes to create, bring together, restore, and redeem things with his blessings of hope and prosperity. Mars is the gladiator in the rink ready to fight and Jupiter is the yogini sharing his wisdom.
Mars in Aquarius is ready to fight with the power of his intellect and innovative progressive ideas and Jupiter wants us to remember what we already have that is wonderful, the food on our plates, the kisses that led to the children running around at our feet, the sweet nectar that the bees collected to make the honey that we put in our tea. Jupiter in Taurus is about gratitude for what you already have and Mars in Aquarius is about fighting for something in the future.
The two planets in traditional astrology are at odds with each other just in the sense that Jupiter creates and Mars destroys. When they come together in a square we can anticipate that there will be a lot of energy that wants to create by destroying something else and that is the hard part. We can use this combination to do positive things, if we focus the Mars energy on something we are trying to achieve that first needs to be dismantled, taken apart, or deconstructed to then create something beautiful and helpful.
It's a great transit for renovating a room, for example, because first you need to take apart or destroy the old room and then you can get to work creating the new vision for your room.
If we use the energy, drive, and force of Mars constructively, we can achieve very positive results!
And looking at the Moon’s involvement with this transit today, making trines to Mars and Venus, I think that there is a big possibility that this will happen! Looking a bit ahead, this transit supports the next big transit, the triple conjunction between Mercury, the Sun, and Saturn, where something old is dying and being reborn—Mars square Jupiter the day before may be like the initial deconstruction of the old to make way for the new and revitalized.
This is playing out in my life in a very mundane way: we are having our heater replaced because it is old, outdated, and no longer functions—I see this archetype in the death of Saturn, something old, and past its prime is dying and needing a replacement, an upgrade, and new life! In order to replace the old unit we have to first rip it out, then we can put in the new one. Putting in the new unit will not only replace the broken one, but it will do a very Jupitarian thing which is improve the living conditions of the space by providing heating and cooling and a dehumidifying effect which will reduce another Saturnine component which are mold spores in the air. Mold is a natural decomposer that breaks organic material down; you find it in damp, dark places and Saturn is damp and cold, being melancholic in temperament, a perfect place for mold and decay. I find this personal experience to be very symbolic of the transits right now!

Mercury, Sun, and Saturn Conjoin in a Triple Conjunction!
In the chart above you can see Mercury, Saturn, and the Sun all in Pisces on the right-hand side of the chart between 1 and 2 o’clock. They are all co-present with Neptune as well. The Moon at the bottom of the chart in Libra, in the Via Combusta (the area between 15°Libra and 15°Scorpio) has recently separated from her conjunction to the South Node, is void of course, and is only 3°away from ingressing into the next sign of Scorpio, her fall.
The Sun and Saturn are naturally opposite to each other; the Sun represents life, vitality, and the plotline of our lives as well as the joyful, radiant energy of the child within. The Sun can symbolize people who are solar figures in our lives who have authority, such as parents, leaders, and presidents. Saturn represents death, decay, and the boundaries and limitations of our lives, as well as what we fear. He can also symbolize authority figures like law enforcement, the elderly, or an old, wise person.
The Sun is the ruler of Leo and the peak season during summer when it is hot, light, and life is blooming and blossoming abundantly, and Saturn rules both Capricorn and Aquarius (in traditional astrology) the opposite of Leo, the beginning and middle of the winter season when it is cold, dark, and life is dormant.
So the Sun is life and Saturn is death; the Sun is light and Saturn is dark; the Sun is hot and Saturn is cold. The Sun brings expansive creative energy and Saturn brings restrictive, conservative energy.
When they come together every year it is a natural cycle that represents the coming together of their dual natures and symbolizes the death of the previous cycle and the birth of the next annual cycle. As the Sun gets closer and closer to Saturn, he starts to disappear from our view and eventually gets swallowed up by the Sun’s mighty rays, which symbolizes the death of old structures that are no longer serving their purpose—like my old HVAC system—and eventually, Saturn will emerge in the morning sky, being reborn from the rays of the Sun, a fresh, newly regenerated Saturn.
With Mercury so close by we get the added benefit of being able to understand this concept on an intellectual level, but with Mercury being in Pisces, this brings this knowing even deeper into our subconscious minds, like we can feel the change in an area of our psyche that is all pictures and symbols rather than words and thoughts. It’s like a spiritual awareness that we just know, but may not be able to explain except through art, dance, music, or, perhaps quiet. In the silence, we may find some sort of peace and recognition of the change, of the death and rebirth, and it may be in our muteness that we are most able to express our gratitude. The ultimate, “moment of silence.”
With this transit one may find a renewed sense of meaning to life as the Sun represents our purpose, our plotlines, and our goals and Saturn represents something wise, masterful, and mystical and it seems that often the very sad and heavy things that this transit symbolizes brings a lot of growth and commitment to something going forward inspired by loss. Saturn can give support and structure to the person who has renewed energy toward something and somehow pain and suffering can turn into joy and happiness.

Third Quarter Moon in Sagittarius
The Moon will reach her Third Quarter phase on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at 10:23 am ET.
The Third Quarter Moon phase marks a time of mindful action. Whatever conscious actions you take could be due to a calamity in your life that you need to respond to or they could be because of the need to break away from a situation. Whatever it is, it could feel really big and dramatic or it could be something mundane and easily forgotten.
Let’s take a look at the chart for this Third Quarter Moon in Sagittarius.
You can see the Moon in Sagittarius on the right-hand side of the chart and the Sun in Pisces at the top of the chart, co-present with Saturn, Mercury, and Neptune. You can also see Venus at 19°Aquarius has just separated from a square to Uranus in Taurus, adding a wild-card energy to this Third Quarter Moon that has to do with our relationships.
When the Moon gets to the Third Quarter phase in her cycle it is a time when we are redefining the intentions that we set during the New Moon, three weeks prior. It’s symbolic of a time in the month when you are taking stock of what you already have, re-imagining it, and turning it into something new and long-lasting.
So, what are you re-imagining? What are you tidying up? What are you digging deeper into? What are you re-focusing on? these are the types of questions you may be asking yourself during this phase of the Moon.
Briefly, below you will find the house that this Third Quarter Moon in Sagittarius is occurring in, according to your rising sign. Find your rising and read the house topics associated with it. You may notice a shift or a deeper focus involving one or more of those topics.
