Weekend Horoscope for Saturday and Sunday, May 21-22, 2022

Well, here we are, Saturday the 21st, and the big news is that we have the Sun here at zero degrees 26 minutes of Gemini about to come into an exact conjunction with Mercury retrograde by this afternoon.  Mercury and the Sun are only 27 astronomical minutes away, so, we are already feeling the effects of this.  

This Sun/Mercury conjunction is going to give Mercury a lot of power—Mercury just came off a sextile to Jupiter, picking up a message to be announced, like one would pick up a trumpet and a sheet of music to play!  And Mercury is in a fine position to do so, being in the good graces of the King!

Be prepared to hear some news this weekend.  An announcement or proclamation from someone you know or from the world at large.  Or you may even feel like the Universe is talking directly to you! This is expected so don’t worry, you’re not crazy, just write down whatever revelations or divine transmissions you’re receiving and come back to it later when Mercury is direct to make sense of it.

The Moon is almost halfway through the sign of Aquarius and it will be making a lot of aspects this weekend—minor aspects to Mars, Jupiter, and major aspects to Chiron, Uranus, Venus, and eventually passing over Saturn—and that’s just Saturday!

By Sunday, the Moon will have finished its conjunction with Saturn and be heading toward the sign of Pisces by late morning.  Once in Pisces, it will square Mercury and the Sun! 

All that to say…

On Saturday, we may feel detached about whatever announcement is being made. 

On Sunday, with the moon entering into Pisces—squaring a Sun/Mercury conjunction, during a Mercury retrograde—we could feel, “some type of way,” about it and it could all become very overwhelming. Watch out for mental health issues, depression, anxiety, or people needing to feel loved and cherished a little bit more. We are either going to feel empowered by our beliefs or a little crazy. 

Either way, we are all going to be getting a major download from the Universe this weekend, so be prepared for the winds of change to pick up—we will be able to smell the major changes that are coming.

As we come into Sunday night, Mercury in Gemini will make a semisquare to Chiron in Aries, and Mars in Pisces will be making a nice sextile to Pluto retrograde in Capricorn—this is a time to heal old wounds, let go of old programs that come up and do our best to practice forgiveness.  Mars at the last degrees of Pisces is stressed.  This is an area where people can lose their minds and get lost…with it being Mars, people could get caught up in their egos, desires, and expectations, and become moody and irritable when they don’t get their way.  Breathe.  It may be uncomfortable to look at whatever’s coming up in your life, but getting angry or drowning out your sorrows in alcohol or drugs is never the answer.  Have the courage to face the pain.  Ride the wave as best you can—it’s taking you to shore—if you fight it and go against it—it may just pull you out to sea. 

So, we have some interesting Astro-weather this weekend!  It may feel very chaotic as we head into Monday, but by Tuesday, when the Moon and Mars both move into Aries, we will feel reborn—like the sea of emotions took us for a ride over the weekend and then spewed us forth onto the shore—we will feel solid ground again!  And have the desire and the will to charge forth in our lives!
