Without further ado, here is the daily horoscope.
Good morning, friends!
Did any of you catch the comet last night? My kids and I tried to watch the live stream for a bit, but got bored waiting, LOL! Unfortunately, it was cloudy last night and there was no visibility of either the comet or the Moon! The Moon is getting pretty big, as she is approaching her Full Moon phase which will be on Sunday, and apparently, the Moon’s brightness was making it hard to see the comet with the telescope live stream as well!
Okay, let’s get into… the astrology
The Moon is in cancer today, her home sign, and I’d have to say, I love it when the Moon is in Cancer! I always feel like spending a little bit more time tidying up my home, cooking in the kitchen, and reading to my kids. It seems to be a time when I want to show love and nurturance for the things in my home and the people in my life that I care about. The Cancer Moon is a great time to do this, so spend some time today and tomorrow taking care of your house, your bedroom, your loved ones, and yourself! It’s the perfect time to give everything you love a metaphorical hug—or a real one!
The Moon will make some hard aspects today, though, squares to Jupiter and Chiron in Aries and she is heading towards oppositions to Mercury and Pluto in Capricorn, so this could be a little bit sharper Cancer moon time than normal. It’s like a fluffy soft pillow with sharp edges, which is kinda weird. Like, nobody would ever sew a pillow like this, right? Or maybe it’s like a super sweet long-haired puppy wearing a spiked collar or becoming a bit aggressive and nipping with its teeth! It’s a combo of something soft and comforting with a hard and pokey edge, so just be mindful when you’re giving those hugs, LOL!
The Square to Jupiter from the Moon could mean a challenge with some grand big idea or belief that you have or just a moment of poor judgment that results in wastefulness or doing something in excess, and the square to Chiron could bring up something painful or represent a bruise to our egos on something sharp today—sharp words or a quick reaction to something—so, be aware that although things seem relatively chill and comfortable, there could be some adjustments that need to be made in regards to what we believe the vision for our future should look like and how we respond to the nips to our egos.
For the next three months, while Jupiter is in Aries, every time the Moon is in Cancer, she will make this aspect, so it feels sort of like a monthly check-in and course correction, sort of like checking on the trajectory of our long-term goals and visions and recalibrating them. Like sending a rocket ship to the Moon! There are constant course corrections when anything is launched into space, right? So, this is just our monthly course correction and ego check. Jupiter will ingress into Taurus on May 16, 2023.
Late this afternoon, Venus in Pisces forms a sextile to the North Node in Taurus—this is a destined moment or opportunity involving our relationships, values, and money—it could feel like something comes up that has the ability to provide some nurturance, sustenance, or enrichment in our lives that feels good and pleasurable and looks nice, too! Venus is the dispositor of the North Node in Taurus, and Venus is in the sign of her exaltation, Pisces, so this is like Venus is on vacation at her favorite resort and she’s calling home to check that the housesitter is getting along okay, and if she needs anything, Venus will send reinforcements to make sure all is well. So, it’s an opportunity to continue to build on what we’ve been working on in our lives and we have support from the Goddess of Love today.

On this card we see a woman, skipping along a mountainside, holding a sword high in the air. She is looking down at the ground that she is passing over like she has seen something interesting. She does not look poised and ready for battle even though her sword is held high.
The Page of Swords is all about feeling full of energy, passion, and enthusiasm for life! You may have new ideas or passions that have you very excited! You may be making many plans for the future that involve a new project, subject to study, or a new way of communicating. You could be thinking about things in a new way, from a new perspective, or with a new type of technology.
As the card for the day, I feel this is all about the excitement about something new in your life that allows you a new sense of freedom and independence. Have fun with it, just pace yourself so you don’t burn out super quick. Whatever new and exciting adventure you are embarking on, make sure you schedule some downtime so that you can recharge your batteries.
