Without further ado, here is the daily horoscope.

Good morning, friends!

Okay, let’s get into… the astrology

Well, here it is folks, the exact conjunction of the Sun and Saturn is happening this morning at 11:48 am ET.  As I’ve been saying as the energy has been building up to this moment, this could be a big one that knocks over a domino in your life, unfolding a series of fated events.  This could be a scary transit or it could be an empowering one.

View from Earth’s perspective of Sun conjunct Saturn using Solar System Scope.

Astronomically, from the Earth’s point of view, the Sun has blocked Saturn from our view (as you can see in the image from Solar System Scope above) and slowly Saturn will emerge as a morning star in the coming days as the Sun progresses forward in the zodiac.  This is like a rebirth for Saturn, the father of time, bringer of tests, and grim reaper of the Solar system.  Every year the Sun makes a conjunction with Saturn and every year the cycle starts over again; Saturn is reborn as a morning star.  This year is special as this is the last time the Sun will meet up with Saturn in Aquarius until the late 2040s and it is also the last time that this conjunction will happen with Pluto in Capricorn at the same time, in our lifetimes.  So, this could be a really intense transit, especially if you have fixed placements in Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius as this transit may manifest more concretely for you.

Below is the chart of the exact time of the conjunction between the Sun and Saturn at 27° Aquarius 44’.

Conjunction between the Sun and Saturn at 27° Aquarius 44’ on February 16, 2023, at 11:48 am ET. Chart generated using Solar Fire.

The Sun conjunct Saturn indicates something dying and being reborn, just like Saturn in the night sky.  This is something serious and may be something you’ve been on a mission about or deeply devoted to.  It could be a sort of hero’s quest or journey and it has come to a place of completion and ending.  It’s like the end of an important chapter, but guess what?  There’s another chapter waiting for you!  All you have to do is turn the page!

The Moon today is in Capricorn and we are feeling like doing the work we need to do especially with our careers, finances, and repairs and maintenance to our homes, this could include the home of your soul, i.e. your body!

By this afternoon, the Moon in Capricorn will form a square to Jupiter and this could indicate a hiccup on the road to success that’s frustrating or it could indicate a moment of snobbishness and over-optimism.  On the bright side, this square could represent rewards coming to you, but they weren’t without effort, labor, and toil.  It is Jupiter though, so it could represent your hard work paying off in some respect.

In the evening the Moon forms a semisquare to both Saturn and the Sun in Aquarius representing a bit of depression, sadness, or feelings of isolation that creep in.  This could also just represent a feeling of stress or dis-ease that is around the edges tonight, making you feel a little cold and distant. Or it could be about the bittersweetness of endings and new beginnings.

Mars has separated from his sesquiquadrate to Pluto today (which was exact on February 14, 2023) and so the obsessive feelings and desires for change could be feeling less intense.  Mars will make a trine to Mercury in Aquarius on February 22, 2023, and Mars will also leave the 3° range of this sesquiquadrate to Pluto on February 25, so the blocks should lift and action, movement, and travel will be more likely towards that last week of the month.

Let’s move on to the card for the day:

What is the guidance for today?

Knight of Cups

On this card we see a Knight holding a cup in his right hand, and the reigns of his horse in the other.  The white horse is prancing forward, indicating steady movement. The knight is wearing a helmet, with the face guard open, and wings adorn the top of it, symbolizing that he is unafraid of his emotions and the changes to his circumstances as he rides along.  He also has wings coming off the feet of his full body armor.  In the background there are mountains studded with green trees and a winding river.  The saddle pad under him is decorated with red fish swimming through blue waves, which symbolizes intuition and creativity.

The Knights are all assisted by horses in the Tarot, symbolizing that this person or situation has some support from others or the environment.

The Knight of Cups holds his cup out in front of him, as if he is carrying this cup to another and doesn’t want the contents to spill.  This could symbolize a romantic gesture or loving message.  He represents someone who is charming, tactful, and classically romantic.  Someone who is compassionate, understanding, and caring--and shares his love of love freely.

In the upright position, the Knight of Cups represents someone on a mission motivated by love, emotions, intuition, and the desire for beauty.  There is action in this card, symbolized by the horse slowly prancing forward, but it is not quick or forced action, it is steady and guided by the pure heart.  It can represent taking action on something or making a decision about something that comes from an internal place of knowing it’s the right thing.

As the card for the day, I feel this a good omen of love and affection coming your way.
