Without further ado, here is the daily horoscope.

Good morning, friends!

Okay, let’s get into… the astrology

Well, last night the Moon ingressed into the sign of Aquarius and she is moving fast!  She will only be in Aquarius for just about 24 hours and then she will go into Pisces, tomorrow night at 11:55 pm ET.  Usually, the Moon spends about 2 ½ days in a sign, so this is a really quick dark moon!

The New Moon will technically be on Monday at 2:05 am ET, but those on the West Coast will have it at 11:05 pm, so it’s Sunday night into Monday morning depending upon where you are if you are in the United States.

On Saturday, it’s a bit hard to get things started.  There are delays, like toddlers crawling up into your lap to nurse when you should be writing, that keep us from getting the things we want to get done, done.

At 10:52 am ET, the Moon at 6° Aquarius squares the Nodes, marking a destiny point.  This indicates that something important is going down and the manifestation of it will be felt down the road. We may look back on today and realize in hindsight what the significant thing was!

In the afternoon on Saturday, the Moon forms a sextile to Jupiter in Aries and this is a harmonious aspect that can land some sort of opportunity in your lap, so keep an eye out for it!  It could be an omen of good fortune in nature or some sort of synchronicity in your environment that gives you clues.

At 5:34 pm ET, the Sun ingresses into the sign of Pisces and the Moon conjoins Mercury in Aquarius!  This could very well mark a time when messages are received, a text is sent, or some sort of announcement is made that clues us in somehow.

The Sun in Pisces is a season where the end of winter is upon us!  We are starting to feel the weather change as the Spring Equinox approaches.  In my neck of the woods, the daffodils have sprouted and started blooming, little Johnny Jump-ups are popping up in the backyard, and the birds have started singing their springtime songs in the early morning light.  Pisces season is a time when we have alternating cold winter days and warm spring days.  The air is changing and you can feel the flux when you go outside and breathe it in, feel it on your skin, and smell it in your nose.

In traditional astrology, Pisces is ruled by Jupiter, the greater benefic, ruler of fertility, prosperity, abundance, and expansion.  The exaltation ruler of Pisces is Venus, the lesser benefic, ruler of beauty, love, relationships, and pleasures.  And the modern ruler of Pisces is Neptune, the god of the sea, who governs over spirituality, dreams, and the unconscious mind.  Together all these planets bring us keywords for Pisces like hope, faith, redemption, divinity, union, visions, dreams, and salvation.  When the Sun is going through Pisces we are experiencing a restless emergence of the light from the darkest part of the year—the rumble before the eggshell is cracked and the new astrological year bursts forth, releasing Aries, the ram, symbolizing a seasonal time when the light becomes both dominant and increasing.

Late Saturday night, the Moon at 15° of Aquarius forms a square to Uranus in Taurus just after midnight ET.  This could be a shock or a jolt or some sort of upheaval that drives you into action. It feels like Spanish-style bullfighting when the trumpet sounds, startling everyone!

Then, at 1 am the Moon trines Mars in Gemini and here comes the fiery, snorting bull our way!  Running fast and charging forth!

Throughout the day on Sunday, there could be a bit of uneasiness as the Moon approaches her conjunction with Saturn which will perfect at 8:59 pm ET.  This combo can bring up feelings of isolation, loneliness, and abandonment. It’s not an easy transit and I’ve noticed that people feel a lot of serious feelings every month when the Moon meets up with Saturn. This is a dark moon, a balsamic moon and so this could be even more edgy than normal.  When the Moon gets to Saturn, Saturn may be expecting to collect on some sort of debt and it could be really intense as this transaction is exchanged.  The Balsamic moon is about letting go, purging, and releasing old patterns, possessions, and feelings and in order for the Moon to pass, Saturn needs to be paid.  It’s a heavy toll and may weigh us down emotionally, so be aware that the energy could feel very heavy Sunday night.

The Moon then ingresses into the sign of Pisces at 11:55 pm ET on Sunday night, just 2 hours before the New Moon.

The New Moon will be at 2:05 am at 01° Pisces 22’.  We will be talking about this on Monday as well, but here is a chart of the exact New Moon below:

New Moon will be at 2:05 am ET at 01° Pisces 22’. Chart generated using Solar Fire.

You can see the Sun and the Moon together at the bottom of the Chart, with Saturn just off to the left, separated by the sign barrier, but very, very close.  Pluto is on edge at 29° of Capricorn and Venus is also on edge at 29° of Pisces and forming a sextile to Pluto—indicating intense opportunities for visceral transformation.  Venus is literally just about to ingress into the sign of Aries only 50 minutes later!  This is a really edgy New Moon!  It feels like we are about to pull the Tower card in tarot, or like we can hear the rumble of the storm in the distance and we have this little moment to take cover.  There is some hope though, as I see the Ascendant of this New Moon chart is in Sagittarius, which is Jupiter-ruled, and is conjunct the Part of Fortune—so, I feel this is a really good omen!  It’s as if this New Moon will shoot us into a better place, as it always does every year as we leave winter and launch into Spring when everything starts to grow and prosper, but it’s intense with Pluto and Venus both at the 29th degree of their respective signs.  Something is about to shift and transform. What exactly that is in your own life, depends upon your own natal chart.

Let’s move on to the three-card spread for the weekend representing the Situation, the Action, and the Outcome :

The first card representing the situation is:

Queen of Swords—reversed

On this card we see a Queen sitting on her throne.  There are butterflies and an angel carved into her throne and her crown is made of gold butterflies.  She wears a cloak with clouds on it.  She holds in her right hand a sword, pointing towards the sky.  Her left hand is lightly touching the blade of the sword as if she is thinking deeply about what to say next and choosing her words carefully.

The Queen of Swords in the upright position is about being clear, concise, and objective in your communications and actions.  The Queen of Swords is a queen who rules her land with a very severe, unwavering hand.  She isn’t someone to mess with or go against her laws with the intention of asking for forgiveness, for she won’t grant you any.

In the reversed position, and as the card for the situation, I think this is a reminder to soften our speech—people may be more easily triggered or have very thin skin during this dark moon weekend, so I feel this is indicating that we need to speak from the heart, softly, and with kindness, love, and compassion.

The Second card representing the Action is:

3 of Wands—reversed

On this card, we see a man in robes,  holding a sprouted wand in his right hand with two more standing around him.  The man’s back is turned away from us as he is looking out toward the distant mountains. The wind is blowing his hair, and wildflowers grow at his feet.  In the distance, there are boats on the water, their sails full from the wind, indicating change is on the horizon.

In the upright position, the Three of Wands is representing something in your life that is underway and the journey has just begun.  The man is ready to travel and he can see what lies ahead of him—he can see what parts of the terrain will be easy and which parts will be more challenging and plan accordingly.  There are many opportunities and he is ready to accept one or maybe already has.

In the reversed position, and as the card representing the action, it means that although there are many opportunities available, you are choosing to stay put and not venture out into the unknown.  Funny, the card for the action is a card of inaction!  Maybe you are having doubts about the correct or most prosperous action to take.  Maybe you don’t feel the enthusiasm you thought you would feel at this stage in the process, or like the winds of change just haven’t filled your sails yet.

The Three of Wands is a reminder that whatever setbacks or delays we may be experiencing right now, they are part of the journey, part of our personal development and growth.  These delays may be there to inspire you to think more precisely about something, using the Queen of Swords to be more objective and less impulsive.

And the third card representing the outcome is:

8 of Cups—reversed

On this card we see a person in a red cloak walking away from 8 cups on the side of a stream.  There is a solar eclipse happening in the background, representing an intense new beginning.

In the upright position, this card is about giving everything to others and feeling like you do not have anything left emotionally to nurture yourself.  It can bring up feelings of depression, gloominess, and lethargy because we are so tired of carrying all this emotional stuff.  We may leave the situation that we find so draining.

In the reversed position, this card is still about feeling drained emotionally, but it’s also about feeling sorry for yourself and it represents needing to make an emotional change in order to see a new outcome.  As the outcome card, I feel this represents speaking up about your real feelings and needs.  Instead of giving up and running away from a situation, I feel this card may indicate writing a new emotional response into your subconscious programming on purpose.  It’s like, if we become aware of a certain default response that isn’t producing the outcomes that we want or need, it’s time to make a change to that response.  The Cups represent emotions and boundaries and so I think this card is indicating that the outcome will be new emotional boundaries that are different than they were previously.

From left to right: The Queen of Swords, 3 of Wands, and 8 of Cups—all reversed.

To recap:

We need to be objective but softer in the way we communicate, and the action is to think it through further before taking action, and the outcome is to not run away, but to set new boundaries and rewrite your emotional response.  We can’t keep carrying burdens for other people, but the answer isn’t to flee but to practice healthy boundaries.

I would love to know what you get from the cards in this reading or how they pertain to your particular situation.
