Without further ado, here is the daily horoscope.

Good morning, friends!

Okay, let’s get into… the astrology

Over the break of the last couple of days, the Moon left Virgo and ingressed into Libra on March 8th.  Today, she starts her day off at 20° of Libra and finishes at 2°Scorpio, changing signs tonight at 7:05 pm ET.

While we were sleeping the Moon in Libra opposed Venus in Aries—so, we could’ve felt this energy building up yesterday.  The Moon opposite Venus could bring up issues between what we are experiencing in our environments or emotionally that seem at odds with our desires and wants—it’s like if you’re sick with a cold and you really want to eat some candy, but you know that that would only make you sicker, so you have to make a decision that is hard, but worth it in the end.  So, yesterday or today we could be faced with a decision between what brings us pleasure and what our body needs or what the current environment we are in requires.

Venus in Aries can be impulsive, but the Libra Moon wants to foster harmony, so there could be a bit of push and pull between doing what we want for ourselves and doing what would create balance in the relationship, group, or family unit.

This aspect gets a bit amped up when two hours later the Moon in Libra forms a trine to Mars in Gemini, so this is like the go-ahead for action!  Hopefully, it will be an action we won’t regret, but whatever it is, the time is now to jump on the impulse and make something happen.  Being that this transit is at 6 am ET, maybe it’s breakfast!  LOL!

By the afternoon, the Moon enters the 3° range of her upcoming square to Pluto and trine to Saturn, which is what we have to look forward to this evening.

The square to Pluto in Capricorn at the last degree happens at 6:36 pm ET, and this is a touchy spot that may not feel good.  Deep emotions could come up or painful wounds could resurface and with the Moon ingressing into Scorpio just half an hour later at 7:05 pm, this could equal an emotional low.  This could mean crying and I don’t mean just little tears, I mean big, deep, sad tears.

The Moon is in fall in Scorpio and that means that it’s time to take a trip through the “emotion ocean.”  I think of the water sign moons as travelers of what I call, the “emotion ocean” and each element has a different way of crossing the ocean of emotions.

The earth signs have wooden ships that they can use to sail across, this gives them the luxury of looking at the beautiful water, but they don’t have to touch it.

The fire signs dance across the tops of the waves like lightning in a storm, creating steam and a dazzling show that you can’t ignore and that can also get scary at times.

The air signs fly high above the waves, detached and carefree, catching the chitter-chatter of the birds as they swoop by and the laughter that bubbles up from the froth.

The water signs are IN the water.

The water signs have to swim through the waves to get anywhere and oftentimes they have to sink all the way down to the bottom of the “emotion ocean” and make their journey from there--at the bottom.

Walking in the ocean is hard work—the pressure from the water creates strong resistance and the currents can push, pull, suck, and spin you all around.  It can be really confusing.  It can be really dark and scary.  It can also be beautiful.

Sometimes the ocean is shallow and we can see the circle of light that marks the surface, helping to guide us along.  But other times the ocean is so deep that all we see is darkness surrounding us and we have to use our intuition to guide us through.

When the moon is in her fall, we are at the bottom of the ocean, pushing against the current and the strong forces that wish to spin us into chaos.  There is fear here and that’s why sometimes it’s easier to hide, like a Scorpion hides under a rock, than to power through with courage.  The Scorpio Moon is vulnerable and therefore defensive and protective.

After her ingress into Scorpio, the Moon then forms a trine with Saturn in Pisces.  This could actually be constructive after the big cry.  We are able to get control of ourselves and see a silver lining behind the clouds.  We may seek the advice of a wise mentor or father figure that helps us put things into perspective and regain our footing on the sandy ocean floor.  They may even give us a flashlight so we can see through the murky darkness.  But Saturn is still the greater malefic, so there will be a price for this kindness, a toll to pay.

Let’s move on to the card for the day:

What is the guidance for today?

VII of Pentacles--reversed

On this card, we see a man amongst the green vegetation of his garden.  Seven pentacle coins intermingle with the leaves.  He is holding a garden hoe and looking to the left of the card, symbolizing that he is looking at what he has accomplished so far.  Behind him are green and blue mountains and a blue sky.

The VII of Pentacles is about investing in something for the long term and working hard to make your plans happen.  It requires diligence, perseverance, and often sweat and tears.

In the reversed position, the VII of Pentacles means that what you have invested in needs to be re-evaluated.  You’ve been pouring your blood, sweat, and tears into something and it’s just not producing what you’d hoped for.  If you are not getting the return that you had anticipated, it may be time to put your resources somewhere else so they are not wasted.  This card is telling you it’s time to make some changes or scrap the whole project altogether.
