Without further ado, here is the daily horoscope.

Good morning, friends!

Okay, let’s get into… the astrology

Well, today and tomorrow, we have the Sun at 16-17°Gemini forming semisquares to both Venus in Leo and the North Node in Taurus, so there’s the feeling that we are in the in-between stage.  This feels really right with it being Gemini season which is literally the transition between Spring into Summer, so the winds of change are blowing.

Then we have the Moon who just ingressed into Aquarius really early this morning if you are in the US at 4:41 am ET and then immediately conjoined Pluto at 4:47 am ET.  This is not your normal Moon conjunct Pluto, either, as Pluto is about to ingress back into the sign of Capricorn, so essentially this is the last time, this year, that the moon will conjoin Pluto in Aquarius!  Not only that, but Pluto is still within range of his opposition to Venus in Leo and Venus is approaching her square to the Nodes, so essentially the Moon is activating this dynamic Square energy between Pluto, Venus, and the North and South Nodes.

The Moon and Pluto are at what is called the Southern Bending which is the degree that is 90° counter-clockwise from the South Node—in this case, the exact degree is 03°Aquarius 10’ when using the true node.  You can see in the chart below the Moon and Pluto on the right, opposite Venus, who is co-present with Mars on the left, and the South Node is at the bottom of the chart in Scorpio, directly opposing the North Node in Taurus at the top of the Chart.

June 7th, 2023 at 9:52 am ET, Washington, D.C.  The Moon squares the Nodes from the Southern Bending. Chart generated using Solar Fire.

When planets, especially the Moon since the Nodes are the places of the luminary’s eclipse points, form squares to the Nodes it represents moments of manifestation when events can actually take place.  So, today and tomorrow are big days where concrete events may unfold.

And with it being the Moon and Venus that are directly activating the Nodes we may feel this manifestation in our personal and familial relationships and what we are attracting into our lives.  The Moon also represents our emotions, habits, and rituals, so this could be a big shift emotionally that acts like a catalyst into a new internal space.

The South Node can act a bit like a drain and it is at the bottom of the chart in the house of roots, family, landed property, and all that is subterranean--it may feel like the foundation of things is on quicksand or a sink hole and at any moment it will give way.  So, it could feel very intense.  We could see this in the ‘world at large’ since this is Mundane astrology, but because it involves the Moon and Venus which are personal planets, whatever happens, will hit close to home.

Mercury is now off of his conjunction to Uranus in Taurus as he is at 24° and Uranus is at 20ۣ°, so they are out of the 3-degree range of engagement.  Mercury is now approaching a sextile to Neptune in Pisces which won’t perfect until Friday.  The Moon will square Mercury and Uranus on Thursday, but we’ll get into that in the play-by-play of the transits in just a minute.  So, whatever sudden or unexpected information, news, messages, or communications that we had over last weekend and the first part of the week, we are now trying to integrate it all.  UFO whistleblower anyone?

Saturn is now at 07°Pisces 07’ of arc and he is only going to 07°12’ before he stations retrograde on June 17th, 2023.  So, he is slowing down and only moving 1’ of arc per day.  Whatever stuff Saturn has been activating thus far in your chart is about to get a review—so these are spiritual, artistic, or religious things that are being restructured in your life.  This is a long process as Saturn will be in the sign of Pisces until May of 2025, and go retrograde over specific degrees each year, sort of ironing out the details as he restructures this space in your natal chart.  Pisces is a mutable water sign, so this is kind of like trying to iron out the ocean, but Saturn is cold and dry, so it’s like ironing out the wrinkles with dry ice.

Now, we’ll go over the play-by-play of Wednesday and Thursday.  It’s a touchy couple of days as the Moon is making very few soft aspects and the majority of her aspects are hard and challenging.

On Wednesday…

The Moon makes her ingress into Aquarius and immediate conjunction with Pluto at 4:41 and then 4:47 am ET, as I said before.  This is a very sensitive transit that can bring up deep emotions—it’s like looking directly under the rug to see what you’ve been hiding under there.  It can be intense and very emotional.

At 7:05 am ET, the Moon forms a sesquiquadrate to the Sun in Gemini representing that now that we’ve had our full Moon we are working on assimilating all that we’ve accomplished this lunar cycle into our greater mission.

By 7:38 am ET, the Moon in Aquarius directly opposes Venus in Leo, another super hard aspect and since the Moon is still within range of Pluto, this could be really challenging and represent a crisis point where a decision needs to be made about our relationships, values, and possibly finances.  And it’s hard, I’m not gonna lie, this could be a really tough day that is very emotionally charged.  We could also be assessing our collective needs vs. our individual needs, since this is in the Aquarius/Leo axis—the group or the audience vs. the individual or the key performer on the stage.

Then, at 9:53 am ET, the Moon in Aquarius squares the Nodes, as I showed in the chart above and this equals a major point of manifestation.  What I find interesting is this in the fixed energy of Leo, Aquarius, Scorpio, and Taurus, which also happen to be all of the symbols on The World card in the tarot, as you can see in the picture below.  The World card represents coming to a place of completion in a cycle and beginning a new cycle from that space.  The fool’s journey, the hero’s journey, which the Major Arcana in the tarot illustrates, has come to an end and a simultaneous beginning.  So, I feel that this configuration in the astrology may carry a lot of that same sentiment.

At 12:34 pm ET the Moon in Aquarius perfects a square to Jupiter in Taurus symbolizing another manifestation point where we are trying to take an objective look at what resources we have to build what we want in our lives—going back to the garden analogy that I’ve been using this week—do we have the land needed to build the garden?  Do we have access to water?  Do we have the tools to work the soil?  Do we have the necessary soil amendments?  All of these types of questions will be symbolic of whatever this transit brings up for you—Do you have the essentials needed to manifest the abundance that you are aiming for?  It’s important with this square that we are not wasteful, indulgent, or even overly optimistic in a detrimental way, so moderation here may be useful.

By Wednesday night at 10:10 pm ET the Moon in Aquarius directly opposes Mars in Leo, another point of major contention, conflict, and strife.  Mars is the planet of war, aggression, and what drives us and the Moon is our emotions, our habits, and how we mother ourselves and others, so this is not an easy transit.  We could feel very agitated on Wednesday as this energy builds all day.  People could be more testy, aggressive, and just plain angry.  There could be blow-outs, blow-ups, and emotional explosions.  On the positive side, this energy could be used to make something happen, get something done, or finally make a decision on something.  Of course, we want to try to avoid conflict, overreacting to things, or behaving in a rash manner.

On Thursday…

The energy changes a bit and we see a lot more harmonious aspects occurring, but the day is bookended with semi-squares, so it’s still tense.

The first thing on the agenda is the Moon forming a semi-square to Neptune in Pisces, which can represent that we are trying to get ahold of the new structures or the new plans that are underway, but it’s through a thick fog, illusion, or chaos.

Fortunately, at 9:28 am on Thursday, the Moon in Aquarius forms a trine to the Sun in Gemini and this is like a beacon of light cutting through the fog and showing us the way—being that this aspect is a trine, which is the nature of Jupiter and is a harmonious angle that represents ease and flow and it is in the element of air, the way through the illusion of Neptune is with communicating and participating in relationship —that is how to cut through the fog and see the truth clearly.  And it should be easier to do that on Thursday.

By noon the Moon makes another harmonious aspect, a sextile to Chiron in Aries, indicating that we have the opportunities for healing and growth if we decide to take them.

Hopefully those two soft aspects, the Moon’s trine to Neptune and subsequent sextile to Chiron will be enough to carry us through the rest of the day on Thursday because in the middle of the afternoon is where the challenging aspects come back in.

At 2:37 pm ET the Moon in Aquarius perfects a square to Uranus in Tuarurs and only ten hours later she will square Mercury in Taurus as well, technically on Friday, but we may feel the effects of this building up on Thursday.

The Moon and Uranus in a square (and also Mercury) represent finding something out that is shocking or liberating in some way.  It’s an event that may be unstable, unpredictable, and unnerving.  We could feel shaken up, jolted awake, or rattled loose.  Whatever the case may be, this transit will come along with more shocking and eye-opening news, much like the weekend’s Mercury/Uranus conjunction did, but being that this is the Moon, it will be more personally felt.

By the later afternoon at 4:36 pm ET Venus in Leo squares the true Nodes to the exact degree and minute of arc at 03° o4’.  This is another manifestation point and it’s being activated by the Planet of love, relationships, and beauty, so it’s a fated moment that may bring about an event that we feel in a very personal way, a very Venusian way.  It could bring up issues with our partnerships, our sensuality, and our feelings of self-worth, so pay attention to what is coming up for you this week that feels Venusian in nature.

We finish out Thursday night with our closing bookend, the Sun in Gemini forming a semisquare to the North Node in Taurus and a Sesquiquadrate to the South Node in Scorpio—our destinies are manifesting right now with so many hard aspects from so many planets all at once—things that we thought were solid and fixed are now being asked to change.  This Sun in Gemini, a mutable energy of change, is cracking us open with the truth.

Let’s move on to the card for the day:

What is the guidance for today?

King of Pentacles—Reversed

On this card, we see a king wearing a gold crown embellished with the horns of the bull.  In astrology, Taurus is depicted by a Bull and represents fertility, wealth, and a bountiful harvest.  Taurus is also an Earth sign and the King of Pentacles may indicate masculine energy showing up in one of the Earth signs: Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn. He has a flourishing grapevine growing around him symbolizing wealth and abundance.  He holds a golden pentacle and scepter, representing material wealth and esteem.

The King of Pentacles represents someone who has mastered the material realm in the form of wealth, an abundance of resources, and power due to financial stature.  He is also a caretaker or fatherly type, who provides for others with his generosity and sound financial advice.  He is the kind of person who plans things out and then executes his plan in order to manifest his goals.

In the upright position, the King of Pentacles would be reminding us that whatever ideas or goals we have right now, through the steady application of effort, will be very successful in a material way.  This card could also be representing someone you know who is skilled financially or has wise advice coming into your life and sharing their knowledge with you.

In the reversed position, the King of Pentacles is saying that your relationship with money needs to be evaluated.  You may be dealing with large sums of money and knowing how to manage them well is a skill to master, one that the King of Pentacles upright has attained.  So, checking in on your money management skills is the first interpretation.

The second interpretation of the King of Pentacles reversed is that you may be valuing money over your relationships, or valuing someone’s wealth status over their character.  So, this card is an invitation to check in on that part of the scenario.  Are you obsessing over money in some way? Putting wealth on a pedestal?

And the third thing we can draw from this card coming up reversed is that maybe we are being stubborn or too serious about something in the material sense and this is permission to take a break from the norm and do something different.

What exactly this card means for you, will depend on your own life situation right now. This being a court card could also indicate that you are dealing with someone who has these character traits and may be an Earth sign: Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn, as I mentioned before.

With all the astrology right now, I feel that this card reversed is also symbolizing that what you thought was solid and stable, like an accomplished businessman who has it all dialed—this King of Pentacles character is actually not stable—this could also be the structures and systems in the world that are all going through major changes and upheavals right now.  How we stay solid and grounded within ourselves and stay true to our hearts is really important.  Remembering your own self-worth, which has nothing to do with status or material wealth, is paramount to getting through these tough times ahead.
