Good morning, friends!
Okay, let’s get into… the astrology
So, Mercury in Leo conjoined Venus in Leo yesterday afternoon…did you get any important messages or have any heartfelt conversations that brought more clarity to your situation? With this conjunction happening while Venus is retrograde, this could’ve been or will be, a very significant rethinking, reevaluation, and/or renewal for your relationships, mindset, or environment.
Mercury also perfected his quincunx to Pluto and made positive aspects to the Nodes late last night, and early this morning, so there were definitely deep feelings or transformations that happened that will be positive going forward.
The Moon is in Sagittarius today and won’t ingress into Capricorn until late Saturday night.
The first couple of things on the Moon’s agenda this morning are a sesquiquadrate to Chiron in Aries, a trine to the Sun in Leo, and a square to Saturn in Pisces, all before 7 am ET.
So, we could be experiencing some serious feelings or circumstances that are coming from a situation that feels fated or in alignment with our purpose and ultimate goals this morning. We have made some decisions regarding what we want to be identified with or as and now it’s time to take those sentiments and move forward in a serious way, getting stuff done and redefining the boundaries.
Pluto is now at 28° Capricorn 58’ retrograde and is still in a square to the Nodes meaning that what we are experiencing right now is paramount to our lives. It represents a major turning point where things are deeply revealed, explored, and aligned with our destinies.
On Friday afternoon, the Moon in Sagittarius forms a square to Mars in Virgo, so we could feel really motivated to get things done, organized, cleaned up, and ready to go! This could also be a time of tension, possibly some family conflict, and general frustration. Just just try to take things in stride and not get too heated or bossy!
In the evening, Mercury enters Virgo, the sign of his domicile and exaltation, and now our minds are really ready to get shit going! You may feel a heightened desire to clean things up, throw things out, and tidy the house! Just yesterday I filled up the back of my car with clothes to donate and plastic bags to recycle because it’s time to do these things! The next 9-10 weeks, while Mercury is in Virgo, will feel a lot like this, especially since Mercury will go retrograde in Virgo at 21°50’ on August 23, 2023, and go back to 8°00’ and station direct on September 15, 2023. We will enter the shadow period for this next Mercury retrograde on August 3, 2023. Below you will find a graphic detailing Mercury’s retrograde in Virgo.
Mercury in Virgo is precise, capable, and likes to practice to get things right. With the Sun in Leo for the shadow period and then in Virgo during the retrograde we can expect some unique expressions that allow folks to shine brightly, but also the willingness from people to learn and hone their skills. Should be interesting! We will talk more about this as we get closer to the retrograde.
After Mercury ingresses into Virgo the Moon in Sagittarius makes several aspects back to back. First, she forms a quincunx to Jupiter in Taurus at 7:43 pm, then a semisquare and a sesquiquadrate to the South and North Nodes, respectively, and finally a semisquare to Pluto in Capricorn at 8:46 pm ET.
The Moon in Sagittarius in a quincunx to Jupiter in Taurus represents feeling overly optimistic about a change or separation that you are experiencing that will require some work and patience to achieve. It’s like finding solutions to a previously unsolvable problem, but relying on your faith and optimism to be successful.
The Moon aspecting the nodes in this way means that the gears are going albeit slowly. Things have begun to proceed down the path.
Pluto in Capricorn in a semisquare with the Moon indicates this same sentiment as well…change is occurring and we can see it on the horizon like a galloping horse coming over the mountain in the distance.

What is the guidance for today?
XIX The Sun
On this card, we see six people of all different ethnicities and ages hanging out together in their bathing suits and holding balloons, symbolizing pure happiness and joy. In the background, is a radiant yellow sun, a giraffe, a butterfly, and a zebra representing the source of life and calm, beautiful earthly creatures.
The Sun card is about feeling positive, warm, and vibrant, and also having fun experiences, success in your endeavors, and happy interactions.
As the card for the day, I feel this is a really auspicious omen that means with your positive, glowing attitude you may attract abundance, happiness, and joy!
If you’ve been struggling, this card coming up means that good things are coming for you! Things are going to get better! Your energy and zest for life are going to improve and more happiness and success are coming your way!
