Good afternoon, friends!
Woah, Nelly! This week is a BIG ONE! I am not kidding. This upcoming Lunar eclipse looks very challenging and I really want you to heed my warning. Please brace yourself for an epic-feeling eclipse season. I will go more into the details of this in the free eclipse deep-dive posts, which I have started writing, with horoscopes for all 12 signs later this week, but you are probably already feeling the astrology of this week under your skin and in your bones.
Last Friday I titled the horoscope, “The Journey Across the Mountains Begins,” and that is because I feel that this eclipse season may feel like that, an epic journey across a new frontier. Today, my title is “Excited Explorers Celebrate Their First Night, Thanking God for Their Good Fortune,” because the beginning of the week starts out very positive, with the Moon in Leo making favorable aspects to Mercury, Venus retrograde, and Jupiter, but don’t get too comfortable, surprises, trials and tribulations await our daring explorers and by week’s end, they may want to turn around and go back the way they came. Will they be able to make it over the mountains? Stay tuned to find out…
In today’s post:
First, we will go over the major transits this week, with the charts at the end, and then we’ll get into today’s transits. After that, we will pick a card for guidance for the day. The weekly overview below is free for all tier levels. I really hope it helps you prepare.
Okay, let’s get into….the astrology
(all times are in Eastern time unless mentioned otherwise)
The Weekly Overview
The Moon This Week
This week, March 10-March 16, 2025 the Moon will move through three signs, Leo, Virgo, Libra, and then she will enter Scorpio next Monday. What that means is that the beginning of the week could feel exciting and invigorating as the Moon forms trines to Mercury and Venus retrograde in Aries; this will give us a nice burst of energy on Monday and Tuesday, although, there may be some sort of Uranian surprise when the Moon in Leo forms a square to Uranus Tuesday afternoon. Come Wednesday the Moon will move into Virgo and begin her major oppositions to Saturn, the Sun, and Neptune all in Pisces—from Wednesday through to Friday afternoon. On Friday afternoon, the Moon will leave this pressure-cooker space and enter Libra, where she will form more oppositions to Mercury and Venus retrograde in Aries, right before Mercury stations retrograde on Saturday. Diplomacy will be attempted and decisions will be made and it is possible minds may change and completely do a 180° turn over the weekend. On Monday, the Moon will ingress into Scorpio, inspiring depth of feeling and guarded behavior.
That is what the Moon is doing, in a nutshell. Now, let’s talk about the planets.
TUESDAY 3/11/25
Mercury Conjunct Venus Retrograde
On Tuesday, March 11, 2025, Mercury will conjoin Venus retrograde in Aries. This is a wonderful transit that is joyful, pleasant, and beautiful. Mercury and Venus together represent the arts, fun, games, pleasant social interactions, and people wanting to work together in a harmonious way. This will all be true, but because Venus is moving retrograde and Mercury is slowing down to station retrograde on Saturday, whatever conversations or attitudes come during this time, there will inevitably be an about-face by the week’s end, or a desire to go back to the pleasure, the fun and games, that was had earlier in the week. Almost, like remembering the “good times,” or the “good ‘ole days.” It’s a good reminder to cherish your moments with people. Take pictures. Appreciate time with family, friends, and loved ones.
WEDNESDAY 3/12/25
Sun Conjunct Saturn
On Tuesday, the Sun in Pisces will enter into a partile conjunction to Saturn, meaning that the Sun will hit 21°Pisces 00’ early on Tuesday morning, joining Saturn in the 22nd degree for a few hours. Saturn will be at 21°Pisces 57’ when the Sun joins him on Tuesday and then he will hit 22°00’ with the Sun trailing behind him, almost like Saturn doesn’t want to be overcome by the Sun, but the Sun is moving faster than Saturn and will engulf him in his light on Wednesday morning at 5:28 am when their conjunction perfects to the minute.
Whenever the Sun conjoins a planet, it is as if that planet goes through a metaphorical death. We cannot see any planet that is with the Sun for the effulgent rays of the sun block everything else out. The planet is then reborn as a morning star, once the Sun passes it. So, Saturn is beginning his annual transformation, his rebirthing process and the fact that this is happening right before a Lunar eclipse is a huge omen, for Saturn also represents death, time, and the limitations of the material world. The Sun and Saturn together signify a death of a solar figure, a restructuring of something solid, enduring, and old; something constant in your life, like the Sun, is about to go through a change, a metaphorical ending, and then a new beginning. We will talk more about this on Wednesday, but this is not a light transit.
FRIDAY 3/14/25
Total Lunar Eclipse in Virgo
At 2:54 am ET on Friday, March 14, 2025 (Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 11:54 pm PT), the Moon will oppose the Sun in a Total Lunar Eclipse at 23°Virgo 56’, a supercharged Full Moon. This Lunar eclipse is a big deal because the Sun is with Saturn in Pisces and Uranus is trine/sextile the nodes.
Let’s not forget last September, we had a Lunar Eclipse in Pisces, with the Moon conjunct Saturn, opposite the Sun in Virgo (basically, the opposite of what we are about to have this week). There was a major hurricane, Hurricane Helene, that hit the southeastern part of the United States, devastating many communities, but most notably, Asheville, NC.
The Moon (the people) was with Saturn (harsh experiences and lessons and traditionally, storms) opposite the Sun (vitality, life) while Mars (destruction, as well as storms) was square the Nodes. I remember writing and feeling like that eclipse was a significant omen. The hurricane was detected on September 17, 2024, the day of the Lunar Eclipse, and made landfall in late September, between that Lunar Eclipse and the Solar Eclipse on October 2, 2025. The Lunar Eclipse on September 17, 2025, was in the Pisces/Virgo axis, followed by the Solar eclipse in Libra.
This time, the Sun (solar figures, life, vitality) is with Saturn (death, limitations, and hard lessons), and Uranus (chaos, disruption, revolutions) is in harmonious aspects to the nodes, meaning the Uranian surprise comes very quickly and easily.
It is my prediction that this Lunar eclipse will behave like “A Tower Card” moment, shocking the world in some way with the death of something very solar, such as a notable person or entity that we feel is constant, reliable, and untouchable. I will get into this in more detail in the eclipse deep dive at the end of the week, but the time between this Lunar Eclipse and Solar Eclipse has very intense energy, so be prepared and do what you can to take it easy during that time.
Do not make important plans for those two weeks, between the Lunar Eclipse on March 14, 2025 and the Solar Eclipse in Aries on March 29, 2025. It is just too unpredictable what is going to happen.
SATURDAY 3/15/25
Mercury Stations Retrograde
On March 15, 2025, at 1:46 am ET, Mercury will station retrograde, at 09°Aries 35’, representing a change of mind, a deal falling through, a reassessment of one’s actions, wanting to go back to the way it was before, a renegotiation, lots of transportation delays, and glitches with technology—to name a few. Mercury retrogrades are infamous for the havoc that they wreak, and this one looks like it will be very active! We will get into this a lot more in the weekend’s post.
Now that you know the major transits of this week, let’s talk about today in more detail.
Here are the four charts for the above transits:
