Good afternoon, friends!
I had a dream a couple of days ago where I was shopping in a little shop that had some potted plants for sale. One of the plants was poisonous and had spines all over it (in real life this plant, which I can’t remember right now, is poisonous, but has no spines), and I accidentally brushed up against it and got several spines stuck in my knee.
I showed the owner of the shop and she was very concerned,
“Oh, no!” she exclaimed with a worried furrowed brow.
“That is very bad.” And she proceeded to get some pliers to remove the spines.
“How bad?” I inquired. She then shared with me, as she painfully extracted the spines, one by one, from beneath my skin, that they contained a toxin that caused blindness in about 90% of cases.
“Well, why do you have them in your shop?” I implored with bewilderment. She had no answer.
I woke up pondering what it would be like to all of a sudden go blind after accidentally brushing up against a toxic plant, and my first thought was that at least I could still dance because I could hear the music…
Okay, let’s get into...the astrology
(all times are in Eastern time unless mentioned otherwise)
Today is a mixed bag of transits, on the one hand we have the Moon in sextile to Jupiter, Saturn retrograde, and Neptune retrograde, as well as making a harmonious trine to Pluto in Aquarius—so there are things going on that are full of opportunities for growth and expansion; all we have to do is commit to them if we feel enough pull to do so.
Mars is forming a sextile to Pluto as well today, indicating that there are things we want, but they require some changes in order to manifest. These changes are possible and will undoubtedly improve the situation long term.
On the other hand, the Moon is forming a quincunx to Venus right before the Moon enters Gemini and then once in Gemini, she perfects two oppositions, the hardest aspects in astrology. The first opposition from the Moon is to Mars and the second is to Mercury. This series of transits suggests that there is tension in our relationships and there is an emotional decision or crossroads that we are being faced with, about what we are willing to do or say, to get what we desire.
Besides the transits of the Moon and Mars, the Sun forms a sesquiquadrate to Neptune retrograde symbolizing an illusion or ideal outcome that we had formulated in our imaginations hitting some snags as it releases, it’s like wanting to hold onto something that has outlived its usefulness like a broken musical instrument or a dried up paint brush—sometimes it’s better to just say good bye and buy a new one.
Last but not least, the star of the show today is Venus. She is leaving Libra and entering Scorpio this evening, but before she leaves Libra she perfects a quincunx to Neptune retrograde, coloring the day with a very odd hue.
It may be hard to tell if the clouds are portending rain or future sunshine. One thing is for certain change from whatever the weather is right now is on its way, but did you prepare enough by wearing layers or did you bring your umbrella just in case? You may feel a breeze, see a bird fly by, or notice a dead snake skin on the ground, or perhaps have a vivid dream about being attacked by a spiny poisonous plant, but one thing is for certain, the Universe is trying to give you signs that change is here.
Then she enters Scorpio and the whole dance changes. Read on to find out how…
