Good morning, friends!
Today is the Full Moon and our Lunar Poetry Slam! I’m excited to share my poem with the community, but first, the astrology…
We start off the day with the Moon in Aquarius in a nice sextile to Chiron. We could be feeling a sense of inner confidence about our individuality and that’s a good thing for the Moon will be opposing the Sun in Leo by 9:30 PM ET, completing a massive Grand square between the Sun, Moon, Uranus, and the Nodes.
Whatever came up yesterday when the Sun squared the North Node exactly may still be in the air and could have sparked the feeling that it’s a bit of a fight between us and everyone else. As the Moon conjoins Saturn in the wee hours of tomorrow morning, we will understand that we can’t go it alone, no matter how stubborn we are. Even if we want to do everything ourselves, Saturn is reminding us that we need others in order to accomplish our goals.
Saturn in Aquarius is hard because it feels detached and uncaring, but the truth is that Saturn cares a lot; tirelessly working and pushing for meaningful change that affects society in ways we cannot comprehend at the moment.
This energy reminds me of the character, Egon Spengler, Ph.D. in Ghostbusters. He’s super nerdy and intellectual and has a completely dry personality, yet you can feel his caring nature in all that he does. That’s why Janine is so in love with him, even though, romantically he’s a dud. She wants to crack him open, like Uranus right now (in Taurus), wants to crack open Saturn--the last Saturn/Uranus square will almost be exact—getting within minutes of each other—but not quite, in October—like the unrequited love of Janine and Egon.
Many unexpected things may happen today that seem to be throwing a wrench in our plans, like the dog pooping on the floor, or the toddler spilling her milk across the floor of the kitchen, like the milky way spills across the sky, but we can use the airiness of the Aquarius moon to stay calm and emotionally detached while we clean up all the messes.
The Leo Sun feels entitled to be the one in the spotlight, but the Aquarius Moon is reminding us that we are only ever on stage and performing if we have an audience; one cannot exist without the other, just like the individual cannot exist without the group, for it is through the relationship between the two, that both are born.
Venus moves into Leo today and this will open doors, especially for those with Leo Suns. Venus joining forces with the Sun will feel like a major boost socially and romantically, and we may all look a little more attractive to others, than we may feel we are. This could be fun and ego-boosting, just remember to stay true to yourself. The Moon in Aquarius wants authenticity, not fakeness.
Mercury in Virgo is in a sesquiquadrate to Pluto in Capricorn, meaning that a deep thought that we had may need more time to materialize. We could lose ourselves in worry, anxiety, or even paranoia thinking about this delay. Instead, look to your friends for support, guidance, and comradery to help you get through the heavy thoughts.
This is a big day, astrologically! Lots of stuff going on. It kind of feels like that scene in Ghostbusters, when that character, Walter Peck, the Environmental Protection Agency inspector, returns with a policeman and a city worker to arrest the Ghostbusters and shut down their supernatural containment system, releasing a butt-load of captured ghosts. The Ghostbusters were successful at the end of the movie, but only because they had each other and worked as a team to defeat the giant Stay Puft Marshmallow man and Zuul. As they say, “teamwork makes the dream work.”
Only time will tell what the significance of this Full Moon truly is.

The Eleventh House is the house of friends, wishes, hopes, dreams, and good spirits. This card coming up for today really reinforces to me, the need to form alliances, groups, and networks of people who can help you and be there for you in times of need, and so that you can return the favor. We attract good friends, by being a good friend, right?
The Eleventh House may also represent the black sheep of the family. Maybe YOU are the black sheep and need to carve your own path and go against the status quo. Even in that regard, one still needs friends.
