Without further ado, here is the weekly horoscope.
Good morning, friends!
Alrighty, so I know that I sent out a notice that I was putting out this week’s horoscope in two parts, but I decided while editing that it would be best in three parts, so this week I will be posting three free newsletters! Yay!
The first is this one focusing on the Spring Equinox and Aries Ingress Chart delineation discussing what I think is in store for the United States in the coming year based on this predictive chart set for Washington, D.C.. The second will be about the two other significant transits this week, Venus’s conjunction to Saturn and Mars’ ingress into Pisces, as well as the Tarot reading for the week, which I will publish tomorrow. The third will be a special report later this week about the upcoming Lunar Eclipse on Monday, March 25, 2024.
I am going to skip the podcast this week due to caring for my toddler and her boo-boo, as well as today’s Daily Horoscope and card reading. The Daily Horoscopes will resume tomorrow. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for understanding!
Okay, let’s get into… the astrology
The Weekly Overview
The first bookend to this week is the Spring Equinox late on Tuesday night, March 19, 2024, followed by Venus’ conjunction to Saturn in the middle of the week on Thursday, March 21, 2024, and then the last bookend of the workweek is Mars’ ingress into Pisces on Friday, March 22, 2024. So, it’s like the Sun’s ingress into Aries and Mars’ ingress into Pisces are two pieces of bread, pretty fantastic pioneering spiritual bread, but the meat of the sandwich is Venus’ conjunction to Saturn which is like wanting moist yummy meat and cheese and feeling like you deserve, moist yummy meat and cheese, but getting old, dried out jerky that is coated with some sort of jelly that is making your bread soggy! Needless to say, it isn’t exactly what you had hoped for.
Next Monday the first eclipse of the year will take place, the Lunar Eclipse in Libra, marking a heightened Full Moon, meaning that we will be exuberantly celebrating something or ending something. I will talk more about the eclipse in a separate post at the end of the week.
So, let’s chat about this first piece of astrological bread making up our sandwich this week…

Happy Spring Equinox!
The Spring Equinox is when the Sun makes its annual ingress into Aries which is the point in the zodiac where the ecliptic crosses the celestial equator and we have an equal amount of daylight hours and nighttime hours. It is the first day of Spring and signifies a return to light being dominant over dark. The sunlight starts to increase and our days start to get longer.
Symbolically it is a time of new beginnings and reawakening when everything that went dormant or died over the winter either wakes up or is reborn, heralding in a new year full of life, fertility, and new hope!
The Sun will ingress into Aries at 11:06 pm ET.
We can look at the Aries Ingress Chart for a country and make inferences about how that year will go based on that chart, sort of like a birth chart for the new astrological year for that particular country. Let’s take a look at the Aries Ingress Chart for the United States, cast for the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C.
(I’m about to get a bit nerdy, FYI!)
Aries Ingress Chart for the United States of America 2024
You can see the Sun at 00°Aries 00’ in the lower right, located in the 6th house of work and public health. This represents that this next year for the United States will be focused on the workforce of the country, especially trade unions, civil servants, and employees, as well as public health, healthcare, and hospitals.
The Sun in Mundane Astrology represents important leaders, the mission, and the person in the greatest seat of power within a country, in this case, the President. With the Sun in the 6th house of health issues, it is possible we may see the President or other prominent leaders experience some. The Sun is exalted in Aries, meaning that our leaders are at the highest that they can go and they may be a bit egotistical and inflated. The Sun found in the 6th house of any chart can indicate struggles with vitality and health, even when strongly dignified, so it is something to be aware of, but it does mean that our leaders have strong, fighting spirits that persevere to overcome obstacles.
Briefly glancing at President Joe Biden’s natal chart, pictured below, I can’t help but notice that transiting Mars is making a square to his natal Sun in Scorpio, today, during this Aries ingress! His Sun is at 27°Scorpio 33’ and Mars will perfect a square to that degree today at 4:12 pm ET. This indeed could be a hard year for the president.
Going back to the Aries Ingress Chart, the Sun is co-present in Aries in the 6th house with Mercury, Chiron, and the North Node, indicating that there may be an increase in news about the country’s vulnerabilities and weaknesses, especially when it comes to the health of our workforce. There could be pioneering efforts focused on communication and transportation in the coming year aimed at improving the workforce and public health.
The Moon is in Leo in the 10th house of the government and represents the people in Mundane Astrology. She is in her waxing phase, gaining light, so there is a sense that the people of the United States are in a phase of building themselves up.
The moon in Leo is confident, bold, and brave, and so are the people this year, especially since the ruler of Leo, the Sun, is exalted in Aries, which bolsters the people of the country. The Moon just made a trine to the Sun, while it was still in Pisces, and then once she ingressed into Leo, she formed an opposition to Pluto in Aquarius—this all means that recently there was a flooding of emotions that came to nourish the heart and soul of the people, like how the Nile floods to nourish the parched soil, and then a potent truth was exposed that created a standoff situation where the people had to make a decision and choose a path going forward. The path chosen is one of a regal nature, like a mighty lion or lioness; king or queen. The people this year are strong, defined, and determined to beat all odds that may be placed against them, especially by anything small, but very potent, such as Pluto would represent.
Pluto is in this chart’s 4th house of the foundation of the country, such as family, home life, land owners, and people who work the land and the Sun is applying to sextile Pluto. Pluto represents transformation, death, and rebirth, and in Mundane astrology, he can indicate political undergrounds, organized crime, violence, hidden information, and anything small, but very powerful, like seeds, atoms, biological particles, and anything nuclear. The Sun is about to cast a light on these things and possibly expose them.
The opposition between the Moon and Pluto leads me to believe that there could be a change or transformation to the land or the nuclear family model that the people are opposed to. The Moon in Leo favors the traditions of the land, the comfort of the family, and the hierarchal structure of power, and Pluto in Aquarius favors progressive thinking, utopian ideals, and radical change for “the greater good.”
The Moon is the ruler of the 9th house of law and the judicial system, organized religions, and belief systems, higher education in colleges and universities, and long-distance travel by plane. So, this is another indication that the people may be fueled by their strong convictions, religious views, or indoctrinated beliefs this year.
Saturn is in Pisces co-present with Venus and Neptune in the 5th house of recreation, social events, as well as the birth rate, and anything concerning children. Saturn represents the elderly, local law enforcement and civil servants, and wise or knowledgeable authority figures. He can symbolize old structures and buildings and things deep in the earth like mines. Saturn also represents serious responsibilities, restrictions, boundaries, limitations, sadness, and scarcities.
Venus symbolizes women, artists, musicians, actors, parties, marriage, and everything related to beauty and entertainment.
Neptune represents illusion, deception, and lies, as well as socialized medicine, hospitals, and charities. There can be great compassion for the less fortunate with Neptune and in the case of Neptune in the 5th house of children, this could represent greater compassion toward children this year. On the flip side, since the 5th house also has to do with gambling and recreational activities and Neptune represents drugs and addictions on a mass scale, this placement could indicate some trouble with that.
Putting all of this together there could be a great desire to let loose and have fun with Venus in her exaltation sign of Pisces and the house of her joy and good fortune, but with her applying conjunction to Saturn, there could be restrictions, boundaries, and limitations placed on Venus, in an attempt to control her, what this means is that there could be pressure to conform to the rules of society, tradition, and even spirituality that strangle Venus in Pisces’ freedom. On the other hand, because Saturn is in the sign of Venus’ exaltation, he could be less heavy-handed and toward Venus due to his soft spot for her right now. What this means is that the community of entertainers, musicians, and artists may feel pressure from authority figures to conform to certain rules or regulations enforced upon them.
One thing that is really interesting in this chart to me is that the Sun recently conjoined Neptune in Pisces and is still within a 3° range of engagement to Neptune, albeit out of sign. But what is not obvious is that the Sun is applying to a contra-antiscia to Neptune in 2°, which acts like a hidden opposition. What this means is that recently the leaders of the United States were in a fog, a period of uncertainty, or delusion, and now are waking up and instead of merging with the fog and illusion of Neptune they are about to oppose, reject, and come to a stand-off situation with it. It won’t be in an outward, aggressive way like a regular opposition, but in a private, internal, hidden way because it is a contra-antiscia.
So, the leaders of the United States are waking up to some sort of deception. It’s like when Dorothy wakes up from sleeping in the field of poppies in The Wizard of Oz and realizes that a spell was put on her to keep her asleep. The USA is waking up from an altered state and the will of the people is growing in confidence, like a pride of lions circling its prey.
The Ascendant of the Aries ingress chart is Scorpio, ruled by Mars in Aquarius in the 4th house—Scorpio is intense, passionate, and driven by strong desires; what this tells me is that the character of the United States is a force willing to fight for what it believes in with tools such as debate, strategy, science, technology, innovation, and air tactics.
Mars represents the military, the police, and conflicts that may arise and since he is in the 4th house of this chart representing the foundation and land of the USA, this could indicate that there may be some violence or attacks on our soil, over land, or to our foundation. I am not trying to scare anyone, but Mars represents violence, attacks, and fires. Mars can also represent leaders who are not in the public’s eye like doctors, surgeons, and engineers, so it could also mean that people in these professions are fighting to guard resources and the constitutional rights to freedom, justice, and liberty.
Jupiter and Uranus are both in Taurus in the 7th house of foreign affairs, marriage, and legal activity, indicating that there could be a shocking expansion of those things this year. Jupiter and Uranus will be conjoining during this next year on April 20, 2024, so that is significant.
Jupiter represents the religious community and the judicial system as well as bankers and lawyers. He can indicate expanding finances and philosophies. Uranus indicates shock, disruption, explosive energy, and breakthroughs and can represent political tensions and revolutions.
When Jupiter and Uranus come together in Taurus in the 7th house this may symbolize tensions between the USA and foreign relations rising to a breaking point! Whatever it is it will be big, shocking, and passionate! Justice, law, and motivation for peace will be involved.
Below is the United States birth chart for the signing of the Declaration of Independence with the Aries ingress chart for 2024, on the outside.
Briefly, the Sun’s ingress happens every year conjoined the USA’s Imum Coeli (IC), indicating a renewal of the nation’s roots and foundation of freedom and a fighting, pioneering spirit. With Mars in Aquarius conjoined with the USA’s natal Moon in Aquarius by degree, this tells me that this is going to be a significant year where the people fight for their freedom, independence, and the core values that built this country.
With the South Node in Libra tightly conjoining the nation’s natal Saturn, there could be a releasing of old ideas, outmoded buildings and structures, and a decrease in charity to the elderly (this last part is because the South Node is traveling through the 11th house of government assistance).
On the opposite side of the chart in Aries, we see the United State’s natal Chiron return is happening, indicating a period of vulnerability and increased desire to fight for freedom, individuality, and self-sufficiency. Mercury in Aries is about to conjoin the USA’s natal Chiron and retrograde back over it in April, which could mean news or reports about these sentiments and a re-thinking of the nation’s position on things.
The Jupiter and Uranus conjunction will be happening in the USA’s natal 6th house of the workforce and public health.
Jupiter is expansive and passionate in Taurus and although the conjunction to Uranus could represent upheaval and disruption, it could also indicate great hope, redemption, and a positive revolution to the workforces and public health systems, bringing aid, relief, and blessings.
The United States birth chart is a diurnal chart, or a day chart, and thus Mars is the malefic most likely to cause the most issues. Natally Mars is in the 7th house of legal matters, open enemies, and relationships, and in Mundane astrology: war. This makes sense. So, transiting Mars is conjunct the USA’s natal Moon (the people, crowds, water, land, crops, and women and children) in the third house of communication, and local transportation by car, bus, or bicycle. This could mean some pretty intense things for the country that involve struggle, strife, and conflicts concerning the nation’s communication structures, transportation structures, and common people.
The people may feel inflamed about political issues, innovative technology, and progressive advances. In Aquarius there is a divide between those who want to progress to the new and “better” thing and those who want to stick to the tried and true, traditional “better” thing, so there could be conflict surrounding going forward or going back. Feels a lot like the loyalists vs. the patriots of the American Revolution to me and I’m not surprised seeing how cyclical all this is!
So, this year looks interesting!
