Without further ado, here is the daily horoscope.

Good afternoon, friends!

Before we get into today’s transits, I want to talk about a transit that is coming up tomorrow and Friday: Mercury conjoining the North Node in Pisces while in a trine to Mars in Cancer.

Let’s break it down:

Mercury in Pisces is already in a partile conjunction to the North Node at 27° Pisces and will perfect this conjunction to the minute, tomorrow night, April 10th. Mars will hit 27° of Cancer tomorrow morning, activating a partile trine to both Mercury and the North Node. Mercury and Mars will never perfect this trine to the minute, but they are in a partile trine to one another tomorrow (this means they are in trine by degree but not minute of arc). Mars in Cancer will perfect a trine to the North Node in Pisces in the morning on April 11, 2025.

I believe that this transit affects how easily it is right now to go off about what you believe, how you feel, or how you were wronged, etc. I have seen many examples of this and experienced a few in my personal life as well. So, it’s time to take some deep breaths. Instead of spewing emotions all over someone else, try to understand your feelings and motivations through self-reflection, therapy, or the help of a trusted friend. This transit can be very beneficial, healing, and soothing, but it can also represent people feeling very entitled to expressing their feelings, even if that means lashing out at someone else. The water trines sometimes act like geysers of emotions, and when Mars is involved, especially in Cancer where he is in fall (and Mercury is also in fall in Pisces too), this means heated, passionate, and rapid emotional exchanges that can sometimes hurt.

Acknowledge your feelings and the feelings of others. It’s okay to feel these emotions, it’s what we do next that is important.

My father always tells me to bless the people, the situation, or the circumstances when things are beyond our control, and I think this is good advice.

So, I just wanted to check in with you all and if you are feeling a lot of emotions and feeling reactive to things that are going on personally, politically, or whatever, you’re not alone. Hold space for yourself and your fellow humans—we are in this together and will get through it together—with love.

Okay, let’s get into….the astrology

(all times are in Eastern time unless mentioned otherwise)

Wednesday, April 9, 2025

The Moon is in the practical, methodical, and health-focused sign of Virgo all day. It’s a great time of the month to check in on your health routine. Are you drinking enough water, getting enough sleep, and eating a nutritious diet? How’s your exercise/movement routine lately? Besides doing the laundry and tending to the chores, when the Moon is in Virgo, our health and wellness come to mind, and you may find yourself thinking about these things or scheduling health checkups. It’s the perfect time to do these things, attending to the details of your life and your body.

Early in the morning, the Moon in Virgo formed a semisquare to Mars in Cancer, indicating that there are things we’d like to get started, but the timing is off. We may feel very emotionally driven toward certain experiences, people, or activities, and today one or all of them could be on your mind, or on your to-do list, but that is most likely where they will stay. The semisquare shows us what we’d like to have happen, but it often doesn’t manifest, or we experience difficulties getting things to go where we want them to. So, instead, don’t push or try to fight against a brick wall, but instead understand that these things on your mind still need some more time to come to fruition. When the timing is right, they will be ripe and ready.

Tonight, about 12 hours after the last aspect, the Virgo Moon makes a square to Jupiter in Gemini, symbolizing some strain, friction, or strife surrounding a relationship due to beliefs being different from one another. You could find yourself in a political argument—this is often the case for me during this bi-monthly transit when I find myself having political discussions with family members that don’t end well. My advice, try to avoid those subjects that are triggers today and instead talk about things that don’t have a lot of charged feelings behind them.

Another thing that can happen when the Moon squares Jupiter is making purchases that you later regret, or going over the top with something like food or alcohol—the over-consumption or the over-indulging in something are both very common. A few more textbook interpretations are: bad publicity, over-optimism, or legal issues.

I do believe that transits with Jupiter usually have a silver lining to them, even when they are hard aspects, and may be like blessings in disguise. For example, I just got a notice stating that my new food stamps allotment is now $200 less than it was previously. This is textbook Moon square Jupiter—a challenge to my finances via some sort of circumstance. But, the silver lining could be that this reduction in government aid inspires me to work harder on my business to generate the funds needed for the food security I desire. The square is the nature of Mars, and as such, it forces us to push, pull, and fight for things we need and want in our lives. I don’t share this to garner any sort of pity, but more to simply illustrate how this transit can show up in mundane ways. Actually, seeing this type of challenge through the archetypal lens of astrology is very helpful and helps me to maintain positivity even in the face of hardship.

We end the day with the Moon in Virgo perfecting a sesquiquadrate to Pluto in Aquarius, representing the internal transformations we are going through, experiencing some growing pains, some setbacks, or some deep feelings that come up that you have to process and deal with before moving forward.
