It's a Headache Day For me--Which Equals A Short Forecast & No Podcast Today!
Daily Update/short Horoscope for Monday and Tuesday, January 2-3, 2023
Good morning, friends!
Well, I have a bad headache today—not quite a migraine yet, but on the edge. I was contemplating not writing anything, but there are a couple of things I want you all to be aware of that I feel are important to mention even though I am not up for writing my normal amount. So, this is going to be a quick update on what to expect for today and tomorrow without an audio read-aloud and without a tarot card reading.
Two things for Monday:
The Moon will be in the last ten degrees of Taurus today and then will ingress into Gemini by 9:43 pm ET. This means that the Moon will form trines to everything in Capricorn, first Mercury retrograde, then Pluto, and finally, Venus, who is at the final degrees of Capricorn for most of the day.
The trine is a harmonious aspect and so this may feel like a nice day—people may get along better than yesterday or even this morning when the Moon is in a square to Saturn.
The Moon hit the 22nd degree early this morning at 7 am-ish and formed a square to Saturn. She also formed a trine to Mercury retrograde and a sextile to Neptune in Pisces at the same time. So, early this morning there was this dynamic, mostly positive energy, but with a little bit of the Saturn/Moon classic feelings of isolation, abandonment, feelings of separateness, or experiencing limiting circumstances that are behind it all. It’s also interesting to note that Mercury retrograde is going back through the 22nd degree in Capricorn where Saturn and Pluto met in January of 2020. This could bring up things that were happening then, that people have conversations about and go over, now.
Once the Moon is in the air sign, Gemini, she will be peregrine, which means that she is in a sort of no man’s land between her exaltation, Taurus, and her homeland, Cancer—it’s like she has to pass through this very foreign place where she has no family and no friends before she makes it to her motherland. The Gemini Moon is very mental, collecting data, thinking a lot, and is not as emotionally receptive or fertile as she is in Taurus and Cancer, and I think that’s why this is such a foreign-feeling place for the Moon. She usually relies heavily on her intuition, but in Gemini, she has to rely on logic and critical thinking, so she feels “out of her element,” and she is!
But, before the Moon ingresses into Gemini, Venus makes her ingress into another air sign, Aquarius, at 9:09 pm ET. So, the Moon and Venus will stay in their trine aspect, their rays first meeting in the feminine signs of Taurus and Capricorn and then continuing the transit as they both ingress into the masculine air signs of Gemini and Aquarius—I feel that this is indicative of a supportive feeling, it’s like these two planets are there for each other through the transition. They are both going from places where they feel more comfortable to places where they feel out of place. It’s like they are holding hands, offering support and love, as they cross the thresholds.
Venus at the last degree of Capricorn doesn’t have any essential dignity or debility and is peregrine, which means she is feeling disconnected and unwanted where she is. Once she makes her ingress into Aquarius, she will get a very small boost in her essential dignity by being in the first ten degrees of Aquarius, which she rules over. So, it’s a small help, but it’s not like winning the lottery or anything! She still feels like she is only just barely making it, so the supportive trine from the Moon may really help her out.
Whatever the Moon and Venus govern in your chart, those are the topics where you may be experiencing this transit. There could be the feeling that you are about to set out on a journey through no man’s land yourself, in regard to some area of your life. Both the Moon and Venus have to pass through these foreign places, to get to the other side, where there are family and friends and love and support waiting for them: the Moon’s home in Cancer is after her journey through Gemini and Venus’s exaltation in Pisces is after her journey through Aquarius.
Both the Moon and Venus will also form sextiles to Jupiter in Aries when they hit the first degree of their respective air signs, and so this can offer another means of support, aid, or help. Whatever Jupiter governs in your chart will most likely be the one to lend a helping hand!
On Tuesday…
The Moon, still in Gemini will conjoin Mars retrograde at about 1:30 pm ET—this is the last time that the Moon will connect with Mars retrograde in Gemini for a long time because Mars stations direct on January 12, 2023. So, the Moon is picking up the final piece of information from Mars about what this retrograde was all about. Both the Moon and Mars are struggling to understand all the data that they are collecting in Gemini and put all the pieces together, so this could be like gathering the final pieces to the puzzle and then having to figure out where they fit. Moon/Mars transits can make people a little bit more edgy and trigger-happy, so watch out for conflicts and scathing words.
I hope this forecast, although short and kind of more to the point than usual, is still helpful!
Until Wednesday,
