Good morning, friends!
Well, last night I had a dream about Keanu Reeves. My family and I were at a big street party and there were a lot of people roaming around and couches and chairs lined the streets. It feels like it was in a big city, like New York, or something because there were black iron fences and concrete steps that led up to the doorways of houses.
Anyway, I was sitting on a couch with one of my children (as a baby) climbing around on my lap. Keanu had just painted something on the wall of one of the buildings and everyone was happy and thrilled at what he had painted! He started to walk by with a big group of people but decided to sit down next to me on the couch. We got to talking and it felt like we knew each other for ages! I told him I loved his last movie, but couldn’t remember the name. He laughed and I laughed, and it was just really comfortable and natural. (Not at all the way I would probably act in real life since I get kinda star-struck around celebrities!)
This dream prompted me to look up current news about Reeves and what I found fits the transits so well right now, I was amazed! It was like he showed up in my dream to send me on a little mission and this is what I found…
First, Keanu has just signed on to star in a new T.V. series on Hulu called, Devil in the White City, produced by Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio (and a few others).
This new series centers around Reeve’s character, Daniel H. Burnham, who is a historical architect of the World's Columbian Exposition, a.k.a. The Chicago World Fair of 1893, and Dr. H. H. Holmes, the serial killer who made the terrifying, “Murder Castle” in Chicago at the same time! ( I may have to do a deep dive into the charts of these two).
Can we say, Venus opposite Pluto!! Venus, the ruler of beautiful and alluring things, i.e. the neoclassical architecture of the Chicago World Fair, and apparently, there was also a 1,500-pound statue of the Venus de Milo made of chocolate there! You can’t make this stuff up!
Then, there’s Pluto, ruler of death, transformation, and secrets, i.e. a labyrinthine house that was built to secretly gas its guests so the owner could kill them! All in the “shadow” of the Fair! It’s super creepy, but fits this transit so well and illustrates the polarity between the beautiful side of Venus and the dark, horrific side of Pluto.
Then, atop the page of the article about Keanu’s new series, were two headlines that caught my eye about prominent female actresses—Olivia Newton John’s sad passing after a bout with breast cancer, and Anne Heche in critical condition after crashing her car into a house and it catching on fire! Venus rules actors and actresses and I knew that we would probably hear about accidents, illnesses, and even death with this transit (Venus opposite Pluto).
Celebrity news aside, what is happening today for us common folk?
There’s a lot of pressure on Jupiter today, as he is at the exact mid-point between Mars and Saturn (still finishing their square) which are both making semisquares to Jupiter. At the same time, Mercury is forming a quincunx to Jupiter, and the Moon is making a square to Jupiter and a trine to Mercury, and a sesquiquadrate to both the Sun and Uranus…all of this on top of Venus in Cancer opposite Pluto in Capricorn (that was exact at 1:17 am ET, but is already dissipating by this morning since Venus is moving over 1-degree per day right now).
With all of this going on, it could feel like everything is happening all at once! We’re all going to have to decide what to prioritize and what to drop. This is a day of acknowledging that although we care about everything, we can’t actually physically make a difference everywhere, all at the same time. We need to be honest about what we can realistically accomplish with the resources, time, energy, and money that we have (Moon in Capricorn).
Even though we are really busy right now (and busy is good!), we may all need to slow down and do one of Virgo’s favorite things and make a list! Laying it out all on paper (or spreadsheet) will help you see the pros and cons, or decide what can be done today and what needs to wait.
With all this pressure building, there’s the feeling of wanting to fight for your freedom and independence, but it may be wiser to try to avoid conflict and direct your energy into positive endevours instead.
We may get little sleep over the next couple of days as all this energy builds towards the Full Moon on Thursday, which has so many astrological transits going on at the same time, it’s like anticipating the opening of a massive theatre production!
There’s so much work that goes on behind the scenes of a theatre show, right? All the rehearsals, all the props being gathered, all the sets being built, arranged, and organized—just so much activity and hubbub! The Full Moon coming up here, is like the opening night: all the people are coming to see the show and we want everything to go off without a hitch, right? So there’s a lot of pressure behind the scenes right now.
We have to be like the stage managers, running around with their clipboards (very Mercury in Virgo), making sure that everyone and everything is where it’s supposed to be.
My youngest daughter has Mercury in Virgo and she is like this, naturally, LOL! She has to know what everyone is doing and where everyone is, at all times. It’s like she is keeping tabs on us and is always there, willing to help us accomplish our tasks and goals for the day. She’s a wonderful little helper and usually very positive, but I have already started teaching her yoga and how to calm down using breathing techniques! And she’s only 2 ½! Thank goodness for astrology, otherwise, I may have never realized her inherent nature and reacted differently to her needs.
The card for the day is:
Horseman of Cups
In the traditional tarot, this card is the Knight of Cups, and if you recall, I pulled this the other day! So, here it is, coming up again…
This card is about setting out on new journeys, and understanding that we have to emotionally let go of things, in order to follow our hearts and move forward.
In the Rolla Nordic Tarot, she says, Horsemen are thoughts. So, I think that, thinking positive and loving thoughts as we set out upon our journeys right now, literally or figuratively, is what we are being asked to do with this card. If we can keep the “Negative Nancies” out of our heads, we will get through whatever we have to do and be able to move forward on our paths.
Just a friendly reminder that the Lunar Poetry Slam will be this coming Thursday! You can check out the New Moon Word List and how to participate here.
On Thursday morning, I will post my poem and you may post yours as a reply in the comments section (to share with the community) or send it to me privately, by replying to the newsletter or emailing me at astromommyastrology@gmail.com. I look forward to sharing and reading everyone’s poems on Thursday! Happy writing!
I hope this is helpful!
Until tomorrow,

I think that horseman is not wearing pants. What an odd image... I wonder what his horse is thinking..
Beautiful reading, Monica. You sure put a lot of effort into your interpretations. Every day! And you have so many branches to your Astrology tree ~ something for everyone ! Can you post a picture of your dear little Virgo "stage-managing" your household? I can relate! I have both Venus and Mercury in Virgo conjunct in my natal 6th house! ❤️
