Good morning, friends!

Did you see the Full Moon last night? I saw her peeking through the bathroom window as I was getting ready for bed. I actually had a good day yesterday, no events to speak of, except a phenomenal ballroom dance lesson. I love ballroom dancing. It takes a weight off, literally, LOL! It makes me feel alive and free and like for 45 minutes, I don’t have lots of crap to do. I felt like, the Full Moon was showing up as a sort of celebration of my growth as a dancer—my teacher led me in about nine dances for review and I was able to keep up pretty well during all of them, and it felt like I was just dancing and having fun! It wasn’t a struggle or a chore, but a joy. My teacher and I danced, laughing and smiling, and having the best time, for the whole 45 minutes. I came home refreshed and full of vibrant energy, my cup was full, and I was able to give to my family with abundance.

What did you notice during the Full Moon? Were you celebrating something or letting something go that had reached its fullest potential? I would love to know!

Okay, let’s get into…the astrology

Today’s Transits

(All times are in Eastern Time unless mentioned otherwise)

Last night the Moon left the scientific, innovative, and detached sign of Aquarius and entered the imaginative, compassionate, and romantic sign of Pisces.

She is not making very many aspects today—a semisquare to Pluto in Aquarius Retrograde and another one to Chiron in Aries retrograde—both symbolizing the need for healing and growth amidst feelings of tension and apprehension.

Late tonight the Pisces Moon will conjoin Saturn in Pisces retrograde at 10:44 pm, followed by a square to Jupiter in Gemini at 11:09 pm.

Jupiter and Saturn are still in square to each other and actually will be within range of this square for the next 11 months or so (due to their retrograde cycles)—yesterday was just the opening act between these two and it has been my experience that this transit takes a while to manifest.  You may have experienced a plot twist in your life already, or it may be on the horizon, but one thing is certain, sometime over the next 11 months while these two planets are in aspect to one another, something in your life will have a change in trajectory.

When the Moon joins in with a dynamic aspect like this, we tend to feel the transit on a more personal level.  The ancients said that everything had to come through the sublunary sphere because the Moon’s orbit is the first we encounter outside of Earth, therefore her orbit, the sublunary sphere, encircles the Earth and all the energies of the other planetary aspects have to pass through this area.

So, we feel the energy shifting around us and we can feel the imminent change on the horizon, even if we cannot see it yet.  It is like knowing that something is coming intuitively before your physical senses, like sight, hearing, and touch can see, hear, or touch it.

When the Moon meets up with Saturn it can be hard because it often comes with feelings of isolation and sadness and can be a complete downer.

The Moon square Jupiter, on the other hand, can be a challenge, yes because it is a square and that has the nature of Mars, so there’s an aggressive push, drive, or action we feel that needs to be taken, but the Moon and Jupiter together are naturally harmonious energies that are happy, hopeful, and abundantly fertile.  The Moon square Jupiter, therefore, could represent the conception of a child, or the conception of something creative, nurturing, and life-giving.

So, today, we may feel sad, isolated, or restricted in some way, but at the same time have fertile ideas, imaginings, and compassionate thoughts.  How can we better our lives and the lives of those we are close to?  How can we share our gifts?  How can we create our dreams amidst the limitations we are facing?  These are all questions that may come into our minds and hearts today as the Moon joins up with this powerful transit.

I like that the Moon meets Saturn first and then moves onto Jupiter, because this may symbolize feeling limited and sad, but then coming up with a plan of action that brings in more hope, prosperity, and joyfulness, like we figure out a way to look on the bright side of things and make the best of what we have.

The full Moon yesterday was about something coming to its highest point, like the peak in the harvest, and now, as the Moon begins to wane, every so slightly, it is about sharing what we harvested with others and being generous with our bounty.
