Good morning, friends!
Mercury retrograde is in full effect today. Last night the power cord for my laptop died and so today I am using our homeschool room computer to write this check-in! I had to use what power I had left on my laptop to upload several folders to my drive to make this post happen. Of course, I also needed to order a new power cord for the laptop and that should be here tomorrow if all goes according to plan, but we all know that during a Mercury retrograde, plans rarely go accordingly!
Nonetheless, I have another computer so at least I am not having to type out this post on my phone.
So, today the Moon is in Aries. She ingressed into Aries yesterday at 5:46 pm ET. The Aries Moon is a go-getter, quick to respond, quick to initiate action, and quick to change her mind as well. If she wants it, the Aries Moon will go after it with full force and determination, until she doesn’t anymore and that’s when she’ll drop her pursuit like a hot coffee, with not a care in the world if it burns anyone on its descent. the Aries energy is famous for forging ahead and blazing the trail without looking back or noticing who in the process can’t take the heat.
Late last night the Moon in Aries formed a square to Mercury, so there could have been touchy conversations that hit trigger points, but with Mercury in Capricorn and moving retrograde, these could’ve felt like talks that went back over things that happened in the past to get a better perspective or share viewpoints. Hopefully, you didn’t experience any arguments, but if you did, it fits this transit!
Then this morning at 7:04 am ET, Mercury in Capricorn retrograde perfected a semisquare to Venus in Scorpio indicating the desire for love and connection to be on the conversation menu, but there could’ve been delays, setbacks, or obstacles that prohibited the free-flowing types of conversations and loving interactions that Mercury and Venus thoroughly enjoy with each other. It’s as if the two planets woke up wanting to have coffee and breakfast together but someone had to go to work and their ideal interaction wasn’t able to be fulfilled.
Later tonight the Moon in Aries will conjoin Chiron in Aries retrograde and then perfect a semisquare to Saturn in Pisces. So we are looking at getting in touch with subjects that may bring up internal wounds or vulnerabilities and an attitude of getting stuff done and plowing ahead, but that is coupled with the Moon’s aspect to Saturn, which is like a ram running through a field only to be physically stopped by a wall. The ram may try to push through the wall, but they can’t and so they are forced to deal with the limitation on their freedom.
We may all experience something like that today—the feeling that we have ideas, desires, needs, and projects we’d like to get done, but there may be setbacks, delays, or flat-out “No’s” that hinder our progress.
Mercury wants harmony and merriment with Venus but it’s not possible today in its full expression. The Moon wants to go, go, go, but there are traffic or technology issues that are slowing her down.
With all the semisquare energy today we are being reminded that we must practice patience and compassion; that just because we want things to happen a certain way or in our preferred timeframe doesn’t automatically mean that they will or should.
Let’s see what the cards have to say…
