Without further ado, here is the daily horoscope.
Good Morning, friends!
Well, I don’t know about you, but I experienced almost everything I wrote about last Friday, LOL! On Friday night, my husband and I were so tired while watching a movie together, and I felt like I was being pulled down into an intoxicating deep slumber; it wasn’t until the morning that I realized I had written that the question would be, “To sleep or not to sleep,” and it totally was! Then Saturday morning some touchy subjects came up and I was not the only one who was having heavy emotions rise up from the depths—from myself to my family, and even my clients, deep emotional stuff was coming up—thank you Venus square Pluto!
Additionally, on Saturday, I said that there would be delays because of the Moon making frustrating aspects to the nodes, but that deals would still go through because the Moon made a trine to Mercury and this is exactly what we experienced! My husband was set to purchase a van from a gentleman on Facebook Marketplace and the man was delayed an hour but then it all went through after that without a hitch!
Then on Sunday, after the Sun moved into Libra in the morning, I felt different, more balanced, and ready to take action on things; the cardinal energy moving me along like a gentle breeze moves a sail on a ship. And I wanted to do things, keeping how it would affect others, in mind. My husband and I discussed our goals for the day in the morning and worked out a plan together that enabled both of us to get things done separately, and still have time to hang out with each other and practice our tango dancing in the afternoon, finishing the evening by making dinner together to eat with all the kids. We both had the intention of creating peace and harmony and worked together diplomatically to achieve this. We also did something very Libran in my opinion—ballroom dancing! But also, very Venus in Scorpio, because it was tango! LOL, seriously, you can’t make this stuff up, and things don’t always go this smoothly.
I felt very in tune with the cosmos this weekend and it never ceases to amaze me when the astrology says life will play out one way and my life totally does! I am still in awe, every time. How about you? I would love to hear about your experiences.
Okay, let’s get into….the astrology
(all times are in Eastern time unless mentioned otherwise)
Early in the morning at 7:41 am the Gemini Moon formed a sesquiquadrate to Pluto in Capricorn retrograde indicating that whatever touchy subjects came up in your relationships over the weekend with the Venus/Pluto square they are now kind of on the back burner and not right in front of your face anymore. Writing about the experience in your journal or through whatever means you use to record your life may be good as the Moon in Gemini loves using words to express herself and does a great job of it too.
A few minutes later at 7:58 am the Moon in Gemini made a square to Saturn in Pisces retrograde meaning that your serious feelings about an issue are getting a reality check and it’s important to deepen your commitment to staying in control. Whatever is getting under your skin, now is the time to be patient with those involved and allow yourself the space and time to deal with any hints of frustration so that you can keep it together. Things could feel heavy right now in certain areas and that’s to be expected with this transit.
But, this is not the type of transit that creates rapid results because anything with Saturn takes time to develop, even your thoughts, emotions, and strategies, so be patient with yourself and others. As Marla Cilley, “The FlyLady” says, “You’re not behind, you don’t need to catch up, you just need to start wherever you’re at.” Let’s take her advice and not get down on ourselves about what we should’ve done yesterday, but rather just start today.
At 9:06 am the Moon in Gemini formed a sesquiquadrate to Venus in Scorpio. Venus ingressed into Scorpio over the weekend, remember, so our love lives, finances and value systems are embarking on a 25-day journey through the intense, focused, passionate sign of Scorpio. We may feel very focused and determined, as well as deeply romantic or obsessive during this time. The talkative Gemini Moon and the passionate Scorpio Venus in a sesquiquadrate with each other suggest some delays and setbacks with what we are trying to attract into our lives and that may be more playfulness and flirtation, more intense feelings, and desires, or more power through our mind or our bank accounts. Since the Moon is on her way to forming a trine with Venus next, once she’s in Cancer, we can look forward to accessing those things a bit easier as the week goes on, but on Monday, things may feel a bit stagnant, and slow in the love department or with finances.
In the evening at 6:38 pm, the Moon conjoins Jupiter in Gemini and this is always a great transit every month that means more joy, blessings, and abundance. This transit may push that stagnant feeling out of the water with its buoyant and bouncy nature. The Moon and Jupiter in Gemini are excited, alive, and so curious about the world and they want to explore everything and everyone together and all at the same time!! The hardest part about this transit is having to choose what to do first. There could be a lot of dividing up your day into blocks of time and then subdividing those blocks into smaller blocks, etc…
Emotionally we may feel more confident, light, and carefree!
At 8:44 pm the Gemini Moon perfects a sextile to Chiron in Aries retrograde symbolizing an opportunity to get in touch with our vulnerabilities or ego-issues in a way that is helpful and hopeful. We may feel as if we’ve gained some wisdom and now we are more confident that we can get through the challenges we are facing right now, despite our insecurities.
The Tarot Card
Let’s see what the cards have to say…
What is the guidance for today?
3 of Swords—Reversed
Wow! Before I get into what this card means, I just want to share that I keep a journal of when I pull each card and last year, on December 4, 2023, when Venus ingressed into Scorpio, I pulled this card! I find that totally fascinating, considering that this card upright means heartbreak and Venus is in her detriment in Scorpio and it is a time of the year when we get deeply focused on our relationships. Scorpio is also the feminine sign ruled by Mars in traditional astrology and represents a receptive Mars, that is passionate and intuitive, but can also be cutting and penetrative with his actions, so it’s like the part of our relationships that hurt, but in a good way, like the yearning for a lover or the part of sex that can hurt but is also pleasurable, like hot wax on the skin. Venus in Scorpio highlights these sentiments and lust, attraction, and a thirst for passion are common themes.
Anyway…
On this card, we see a suspended red heart that is slashed and stitched and tethered to the earth, a tree, and the woman on the card with red ropes. The woman in the foreground of the card is wailing, her head back in pain. The tree in the background is arched and barren and the sky is dark and full of storm clouds.
The 3 of Swords upright is the heartbreak card and means sorrow and pain. It often comes before a breakup, a fight, or when our feelings are about to get hurt.
In the reversed position, this could mean that in the recent past, you have gone through a breakup, a fight, or a time in which cutting words hurt your heart and now you are in a period of recovery. It could also indicate something you didn’t say or something painful that you kept to yourself. Just as words said or actions taken can cause destruction, sometimes words not said or actions restrained can cause just as much pain. So, this card coming up is showing that the pain could be pretty fresh and with Venus moving into Scorpio, I suspect some healing is on the horizon.
Back in December of 2023, I wrote this about Venus moving into Scorpio and I think it fits now, too, and with this card coming up again:
Venus, the planet of love, affection, beauty, harmony, and what we value and attract into our lives is ingressing into the seductive, magnetic, and defensive sign of Scorpio.
We talked a lot about Venus moving into Scorpio […] like the dance shifting from classic and traditional Fox Trot to sexy, passionate Tango, and so today is the day when the dance will change—to expand on that a bit, I mean that the overall mood of what we find attractive, beautiful, and exciting will change and become a little darker, a little bit more dramatic, and more intense—like the smell of our perfume getting a bit more concentrated.
The symbol for Scorpio is the Scorpion and what do we all know about Scorpions?
They have a hard, protective exoskeleton; they have a poisonous sting; they live hidden away in burrows. So, while Venus is in Scorpio she may be more defensive, a bit more prone to lashing out, hurting people with her stinging words or actions and seeking forgiveness later or not at all; and she may hide herself away in the shadows as a form of protection—if she never comes out and shows herself then she can’t get hurt or squashed.
Venus is also traditionally in her detriment in Scorpio because it is the sign opposite to her domicile of Taurus and as such she can be the opposite of “love and light,” and seek depth of feeling, including painful ones, as well as she wants to explore what is in the shadows, what pieces of ourselves do we hide away in the darkness and why?
Venus is a benefic and she does bring healing, pleasure, love, friendship, and affection so when she is transiting through Scorpio I feel she is trying to coax a bit more of our hearts out of the shadows to mend, aid, and heal whatever deep wounds or trauma we’ve buried there. Whatever house that Scorpio rules in your chart you may find that Venus’s presence there is soothing, comforting, and reassuring, like a mother’s kiss on a child’s wounded knee.
I would love to hear your thoughts, in the comments.
I hope this is helpful!
