Moon Enters the Via Combusta Today, Proceed with Caution

Today is going to feel like a balancing act, while you try to keep everything balanced and making sense in your life, you have to make small course corrections, continually letting go of your attachment to the outcome and changing your trajectory. 

It makes me think of the scene in Apollo 13 where they have to continually manually correct their flight path in order to dock the ship—any adjustment that is too extreme in either direction will make the ship burn up and everyone will die.  The pressure and stress are so intense.  There’s the feeling that they only have one shot to get it right.  It may feel this way today.

We may feel as if someone or something is forcing us to take action in our lives that will create more balance between our emotional, receptive selves and our warrior-like, resistant selves, striving to get the job done, despite the opposing feelings.  When we do take action, there are hiccups, which create delays in achieving what we set out to do and this can be frustrating!  We may have to go and buy something we need to fix the problem, or something breaks and we have to not only fix the first thing but now the second thing too! 

By later this afternoon, we could feel pretty stressed out about it all, and confrontations and arguments are possible and it may be easy to fall into the “blame game.”

By tonight, things will feel better and a sense that we made it through and all turned out fine could be felt.  We finally fixed the thing, bought the additional part, and the task was done and we feel right in the world again.  Just like in the movie, Apollo 13, they landed the ship and nobody died— high f****** five, right?!  But, it was sure stressful getting there.

The Moon is in Libra today and going to make an opposition this morning to Mars in Aries, followed by a sesquiquadrate to Mercury, and a quincunx to Venus by 1pm Eastern—stress, frustration, and delayed results.

By about 4 pm Eastern, the Moon enters the Via Combusta, the “Burnt Path,” known as the area between 15 degrees Libra and 15 degrees Scorpio.  This is an area the moon does not like to be in because it’s stressed out here!

But for the sake of this horoscope, all you need to know is that the moon is in distress here and she’ll be traveling through this path until Saturday evening.  So, this could mean a stressful next couple of days!

While she is going through this difficult path in the sky today, she is going to oppose Chiron; quincunx Uranus, and trine the Sun—more stress, frustration, change, and finally a little “job well-done,” moment at the end!

The Mercury Retrograde card usually means glitches, screw-ups, mechanical things failing, etc…but since it turned up reversed I think this means that even though those things were happening over the last few weeks—we did just come out of a Mercury Retrograde—now things are not going to be as buggy—we’re going to be able to accomplish what we set out to do without all the delays. We may be reminiscing about them, though, especially if we are fixing something that broke over the last few weeks. It’s like we need to talk about it and process it.
