I apologize, but I have a headache today. I am attempting to write through it. I figure the best way to do that is to just get straight to the point…sorry, not a lot of personal stories in this one, but hey, it’s short and sweet, maybe that’s just what the doctor ordered.
So the Moon is in Leo today. This could feel really great as we move into the weekend because we’ve been in very watery, emotional energies for the last couple of days since the New Moon, and now we are in the hot, fiery world of Leo! It’s great energy for the holiday weekend, although the moon will be moving into Virgo on Sunday and be there for the actual Fourth of July.
If you are celebrating today or Saturday, you could have a great party! If you decide to celebrate Sunday or Monday, you may be a little stressed out at the party and worried about the mess that is being made in all the joviality! Either way, wanting to have a good time is in the air.
Mars in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn (retrograde) are perfecting their square today. I’ve been talking about this for a few days as these two planets have been within a 3-degree orb for a few days and will be for a few days after today, as well. We have a lot of powerful energy to get things done, but we need to come up with a strategy. Watch out for crazy fights and people pushing people too hard. This transit gives us so much power to act and get results, but we need to stay positive as we take these actions, so we don’t cause trouble. Like I’ve been saying in recent newsletters, proceed with caution and keep your eye on the ball this weekend.
The Sun in Cancer is also making a sesquiquadrate to Saturn in Aquarius (retrograde). This is the frustrating feeling of wanting things to happen and manifest, but feeling restricted in some way and so we may think that we have to try harder, but it will only lead to more frustrations. Being steady and patient are better ideas. Things will unfold in their own divine timing.
Let’s pick a card for the day:
IV of Cups—reversed
A young man sits beneath a tree, with three full cups before him, yet there’s a look of discontent on his face. For some reason, he’s not happy. A hand appears, coming out of a piece of popcorn in the sky, offering him yet another full cup! Will this change his attitude?
This card usually means an opportunity will come into your life that may change your outlook on things. In the reversed position I feel like this card is saying, “don’t be so sour,” when people try to offer you help or guidance. It represents finding a new perspective to look at your life and being appreciative of what you have already.
It’s interesting because, in the reversed position, you would think that the cups would be empty and that the young man and the cups could only stay in the upside-down position for a little bit, and then whatever force is holding them against the pull of gravity would eventually release and they would come crashing down and see that they were on solid ground again. I also feel like what is holding this young man and these cups up, is the man’s own discontentedness! It’s like he’s being stubborn and not wanting to practice gratitude for what he has!
In this regard, I feel that this card is a reminder to not be stubborn, ungrateful, or sour, to just hold your position. That type of outlook does not benefit anyone. A change in attitude is what is required for you to be on solid ground again. So, allow yourself to drop the stubborn act!
I hope this horoscope and reading are helpful!
Until tomorrow,
AstroMommy
Today’s horoscope was brought to you by: The Moon in Leo, Mars square Pluto, and the Sun and Saturn in a sesquiquadrate.
Today’s card was pulled from A.E Waite Tarot available here. I like this deck, but I do have one issue…the card stock is not the best and so you can’t shuffle the cards in the traditional way because it will bend and crease the cards. Thankfully, they are really inexpensive. Other than that, these cards are fun, with their holographic finish. I received these cards as a gift. I probably wouldn’t have purchased them myself because of the quality, but they are a fun addition to my tarot collection, even so.
