New Moon Word Poem List #2

Will you join me for a game of poetry?

Last month we played our first game of poetry, word poem list #1! Today being the New Moon and in Gemini no less, I thought it would be the perfect day to put out word list #2!

Below you will find the back story, how to play, and of course word list #2. I do hope you’ll play along and share your poem with me and others! Details on how to do that below.

In case you missed it, here’s the back story…

I love my sister. She has introduced me to so many amazing and wonderful things! And one of my most cherished is the word-list poem. Many times throughout my life, my sister and I would play this poetry game to have fun writing, inspire each other, and express whatever is inside in an artistic way, through poetry! We have included many other wonderful women, our sisters, our daughters, and our closest friends throughout the years to play this poetry game with us. Now, I would like to share this game with you, my dear reader, that is, if you’re “game?”

Below you will find the rules and the words. Let me know if you have any questions. I’ll post my poem by the due date. I look forward to reading yours! And if you are one of my word poem sisters, I’m so glad you’re here! I love and respect you and I hope you’ll play with me! It’s been too long, hasn’t it?

Word List Poem #2

 Starting May 30, 2022 (on the New Moon in Gemini)

Poem due Tuesday, June 14, 2022 (the next Full Moon, in Sagittarius)

How to play:  Below you will find this week’s word list—from it, you are to write a poem using the exact words listed in the order they are in. You may have as many or as little words in between the words listed as you want to!

For example, the opening to my poem might be:  she needed someone else to do all the domestic duties…and so on, until all 15 words have been used. 

There is no limit to the length of your poem. 

There are no other rules, just use all 15 words as they are (do not change their tense or add suffixes to them) and in the order presented. 

Next Full Moon, I will share the poem I write here on Substack, and if you’d like you can share your poem with me by posting it in a reply email to the newsletter or, if you want to share on social media, use the hashtag #astromommywordpoem so we can all share our poems in one place!  Thanks for participating!
