Good morning, friends!

Well, I still have a migraine, so this weekend’s scope is a lot shorter than normal—but I think I included enough of the meat and potatoes so it still makes a satisfying astrological meal. 😉

Okay, let’s get into...the astrology

(all times are in Eastern time unless mentioned otherwise)

Mercury in Leo forms trines to Saturn and Neptune this weekend, then ends the weekend in opposition to Pluto retrograde in Aquarius. This little dance symbolizes serious thinking about your commitments and future visions—maybe even entertaining a few dreamy or unrealistic ideas—before you come up against the reality of your resources. You may feel anxious, paranoid, or indecisive during this transit, which forces you to make a decision about what to do, where to go, or what to think about something. Be compassionate and patient with yourself. If you’re overwhelmed by “eating an elephant,” just remember: one bite at a time. You’ve got this.

The Moon starts the weekend in Cancer, moves into Leo and joins Mercury, making her own trines to Saturn and Neptune, and then she opposes Pluto in Aquarius retrograde by the end of Friday, two days before Mercury does, so it is almost like this weekend we feel all of these emotions before our minds catch up to our hearts. The same sentiment applies: if you are feeling anxious, take it moment by moment; day by day. The Moon and Mercury are fast-moving, so the feelings and thoughts you have this weekend will be different come Monday. Hang in there!

Then on Saturday night and early Sunday, the Moon in Leo squares Venus and Uranus, stirring potential tension in relationships or unexpected disruptions. This could be challenging, especially when it comes to trying to get together with friends and family, so do your best to go with the flow and roll with it.

By Sunday, the Moon enters Virgo (7:43 am ET), shifting the mood from bold and dramatic to grounded and practical. By Sunday afternoon, the Virgo Moon will sextile Jupiter, conjoin Mars, and sextile the Sun in the evening, so there are opportunities on Sunday to take a leadership or managerial role and get things organized and under control again. It wouldn’t be surprising if attitudes were a little bit more bossy with the Moon and Mars together in Virgo, for this combination is like the stage manager for a play—they tell people what to do, where to go, and how to do it, in order to keep the production organized and moving along smoothly. This leadership role may come with some impatience or matter-of-fact attitudes, but it doesn’t have to be mean-spirited. If we are consciously aware of our effect on others, we can soften our tones and still get what we need to get done accomplished. Because the Moon and Mars are in a harmonious sextile to the Sun and Jupiter, this will mean that people want to listen to you and are happy to acquiesce to your requests. Your gentle leadership will be warmly received. Ask nicely, and others will likely say yes.
