Good morning, friends!
Today may feel like that classic scene in a dinosaur movie…you know the one where the camera pans over the nest full of eggs and then zooms in on the one that is starting to vibrate and jump around a little bit and then crack! A jagged line erupts across the face of the shiny shell, sending chills down your spine because you know what that means…life has found a way!
Early this morning the Sun in Pisces formed a semisquare to Pluto in Aquarius symbolizing that crack in the shell that we can’t turn back from. Once that little dinosaur is out there’s no turning back, right? The semisquare represents something wanting to take form; it is like seeing the crescent moon emerge after the few days of darkness following a New Moon, well…when the Sun and Pluto conjoined on January 20, 2024, at the last degree and minute of Capricorn and ingressed into Aquarius together that was the seeding point of change.
Pluto represents death and rebirth and transformation and the reason that this little dwarf planet represents all those potent things is because it is akin to a “seed” itself. “Seeds” contain all the genetic material and instructions to become the great big thing that is hidden deep within them, like the giant oak tree hidden in the small acorn. So, Pluto is our potential that is compressed, hidden, and pressurized into this tiny speck that holds the infinite power and secrets of the Universe.
What does a seed need to grow? Water, warmth, and light, and that is exactly what the Sun brings. The Sun illuminates, warms up the soil, creates moist heat, and photosynthesis begins. So, a month and a half ago the potent and transformative Pluto was bathed in light and now, with the semisquare, his tiny little cotyledons are emerging from the cosmic soil. The Semisquare after the conjunction is like the earth’s crust being broken and a speck of green showing itself. What this means for us who are along for the ride is that the change and transformation that this conjunction symbolizes in our own lives is finally going to begin to show itself, like a crack in the shell of an egg—irrevocable change is coming. Will it be noticeable? Maybe, maybe not…only time will tell.
The Moon today is traveling through the final decan of Capricorn, the last ten degrees. She made a harmonious sextile to Mercury in Pisces this morning at 7:54 am ET and now she is heading toward a semisquare to Saturn and a sextile to Neptune this afternoon. Tonight she will ingress into Aquarius at 7:38 pm ET and then conjoin Pluto at 9:54 pm ET, joining the semisquare to the Sun. But the Moon is not emerging as a crescent with her semisquare to the Sun, she is waning to a crescent and will begin her balsamic phase after which she will disappear into the darkness of the next new moon in Pisces on March 10, 2024.
Okay, so what does all this mean for today…
