Okay, let’s get into…the astrology
Well, here we are hump day and it is also the lunar transition day, where the Moon moves out of stubborn, passionate Taurus and into changeable, talkative Gemini.
The Sun is at 19°Taurus, trailing behind Uranus at 22° and Jupiter at 26°.
The Moon this morning, having just separated late last night from the Sun after the New Moon, first made a semisquare to Mars at 4:08 am ET indicating a hiccup, or a bump in the road that caused some friction and required you to slow down and take a look around you.
A few hours later the Moon met up with wild-card Uranus which could have sent some shockwaves through you as you realized where you are right now. Could this really be true? Like the Velveteen Rabbit after being made real, if Jupiter and Uranus’s recent conjunction (and let’s not forget the powerful Solar eclipse in Aries) has made you question your reality, you’re not alone!
A few hours later at 12:30 pm ET the Moon in Taurus will meet up with Jupiter, the King of Abundance, the Genie of the Lamp, Santa Clause himself; the Bringer of Wishes and Fulfiller of Dreams. Moon conjunct Jupiter can mean a lot of wonderful things especially in fertile, passionate, tasty Taurus. Jupiter in Taurus has a strong desire to expand the material things by nourishing the land, the animals, and the vegetation. The Moon is exalted in Taurus meaning emotionally we value high quality experiences, items, and company. While in Taurus, the Moon is able to deliver the best of the best right now, especially with mighty Jupiter at her side. We may all feel more optimistic, hopeful, and genuinely happy with this combination at play.
In the evening at 5:55 pm ET, the Moon will make a sextile to Neptune at 29°Pisces. It’s worth mentioning that Neptune is in the final degree of Pisces and will advance to within 05’ of Aries when he stations retrograde this summer, so he’ll get really close to changing signs, but won’t. That’s like The Fool in the Tarot, getting to the edge of a cliff, suddenly realizing he’s there, looking over, getting dizzy, and backing up, instead of taking the faithful leap into the unknown that he is known for taking. This sentiment is hidden deep in our subconscious right now, the knowing that we are embarking, or about to embark, on something we’ve never done before.
The Moon’s sextile to Neptune, however, is a harmonious aspect and isn’t at all like looking over the edge of a cliff, but more like relaxing in a hammock between two trees while reading a dreamy book. There could be the knowledge that pretty soon you’re going to have to use a considerable amount of effort to get your body off the hammock and inside the house but for a few more minutes you’re content to just read and lounge around languidly.
A couple hours later the Moon ingresses into Gemini and perks us up like a hot cup of coffee (in an AstroMommy mug, right?!) Our brains are done relaxing and snoozing and ready to chat about what we were reading, daydreaming about, or contemplating. The Moon in Gemini is eager and willing to connect, conversate, and solve all the puzzles, crosswords, and sudokos in all of the newspapers in the whole house. She is busy, motivated, and loves to collect information. Whereas the Taurus Moon might get a kick out of a Tactile Dome experience, the Gemini Moon wants to go to the coffee shop and participate in the local poetry jam. And a poetry jam might be exactly what this Gemini Moon wants to do because right after she ingresses into Gemini she makes a trine to Pluto, so we’re going deep. Deep into the psyche, deep into where the words are generated from, right down to the neuronal impulses of thought and emotion themselves. Moon trine Pluto in air signs is like participating in an explorative discussion about physics, psychology, or mathematics. This combo can also symbolize having a life-changing emotional exchange with an important woman in your life. Feelings and intimate details just flow from you gushing up from the depths of your soul.
Let’s see what the cards have to say…
