Good morning, friends!

Well, I’ve been having a lovely time here in California, visiting AstroGrandpa. The flight here went well, and the weather has been gorgeous. It’s been great hanging out with family and enjoying time together.

It’s been a strange reality—one that is mirrored in the astrology—of feeling so much joy, calm, and happiness, but at the same time fear, anxiety, and uncertainty.

An important transit is occurring today that adds yet another detail to the story: the Sun will meet up with Jupiter, marking a time when our sense of purpose, faith, wealth, and status is temporarily occluded by the hot, fiery Sun.

What happens when the biggest planet in our solar system gets occluded by the sun? We can’t see our wealth clearly. We can’t see our worth! We can’t see our faith, purpose, or future. But, this combination does add power. It does add a constant burning inside to live a life of faith, purpose, and vision. It’s both a test of faith and a recommitment to faith, a test of purpose and a recommitment to purpose, a test of peace and a recommitment to peace.

The Sun and Jupiter are together at 03°Cancer 21’ at the top left of the chart, at about the 11 o’clock position. The Moon is less than 11 degrees away from joining them both and forming the Cancer New Moon (tomorrow).

Today, at 11:17 pm ET, Jupiter disappears behind the Sun.

Over the last week, the Sun has been gaining on Jupiter—closing in, catching up, and finally overtaking him in the sky. When any planet becomes hidden by the Sun’s rays like this, it undergoes a metaphorical death… and then, in time, when the planet becomes visible again, a rebirth.

This is that moment.

What might this feel like?

To us, this may feel like reaching the finish line with a project or a goal, and now you are ready to start something new, aiming your sights on another far-off land to explore. Or, recently, your faith may have been tested, and this moment may mark a time when your belief in something goes through a death and rebirth process—your faith hits a test, fails or passes, and then is rekindled or renewed. It can also indicate literal deaths of religious leaders, larger-than-life celebrities, or political heroes taking their final breaths.

On a collective level, this is a big deal. The Sun-Jupiter conjunction metaphorically symbolizes the price of power and the value of peace as it completes the YOD that has been active over the last several days between Jupiter, Mars, and Pluto retrograde. This suggests that something powerful is taking place behind the scenes—involving leadership, global conflict, negotiations, and vital resources. (I wrote this before the recent bombings in Iran!)

In our personal lives, this energy could manifest around finances, motivation, endurance, home life, talents, purpose, or dreams. It’s a day that could feel big—because it is.
