This is a Long One…You May Want to Read it in Stages...and Happy Father's Day Weekend!

Weekend Horoscope for June 18-19, 2022

As I walked into the homeschool room this morning to start my daily practice of looking at the transits and writing the horoscope, I heard what sounded like a sports announcer, announcing plays, coming from the computer speakers.    I realized my ten-year-old son was playing a computer/video game and listening to someone, probably a YouTuber, talk about the game too!  Apparently, he woke up at the “butt-crack of Madonna” to play his game.

Funny story, about the origins of that phrase—my oldest daughter when she was about 3 years old, woke up really early regularly and heard me say, “butt-crack of dawn.”  I don’t remember the exact morning, all I know is that she woke up early one morning and said, “is it the butt-crack of Madonna?” and it stuck, and ever since, that is what we call the early morning around here!

So, instead of half the house being awake this morning at the “butt-crack of Madonna,” like yesterday, it was just the Leo.  The Moon opposed his sun in the middle of the night, so I’m not surprised he’s the one up!

For me, it was a struggle to wake up and get myself out of bed.  I went to bed really late because I was making mugs and stickers for my Etsy shop.  In fact, I want to share with you all my latest mug, TransFormAtion Snake Magic Mug (and sticker!)

Obviously, I was inspired to design this mug because of all the transformative snake energy and omens I’ve been receiving lately and this weekend has a lot of astrology coming up that will be both supportive and reconstructive towards what we are trying to accomplish, just like we’ve been talking about with all the skin shedding and endings and beginnings stuff…

But, whatever the changes are that we are going through—it could be a bit rough this weekend and I’ll explain why.

So, we have the Moon in Aquarius and this morning she will be squaring Venus and then conjoining Saturn, and Venus and Saturn are making their square today, exact at 5:31 pm Eastern.  This will feel personal and bring up money, relationships, and what our desires really are.  Venus square Saturn brings up insecurities, like not feeling beautiful enough, feeling like you have a lack of something in some way.  I was born with this aspect, but in different signs, nevertheless, I know it very well—venus in Taurus and Saturn in Aquarius is like the combination of materialism and collectivism—so this energy is about creating something that’s physical, tangible, and in the material world (Taurus/Earth), that is useful to the collective mind, the greater good, and rations the resources in a way that everyone gets a piece (Aquarius/air).  Saturn in Aquarius also has an energy of splitting and slicing through —it’s like dividing the collective into the haves and the have-nots—which I think relates to the Nodes as well…

North Node in Taurus means we want to go towards things we can create physically that will give us a sense of security, like planting a garden, building a house, stock-piling food, cash, and emergency supplies, and South Node in Scorpio is the other side of that, the areas that we get stuck thinking the old patterns and ways are going to save us—so immediate gratification types of things like gambling, get-rich-quick schemes, the lottery, investments that rely on other people’s money (8th house stuff). There’s always a shadow side to the transits, in my opinion, and I think it’s wise to always consider them lest we fall prey to them ourselves.

So, this Venus square Saturn is going to bring up a lot of stuff around relationships and money-- money issues are coming up a lot right now—Saturn is teaching us to grow up and take some sort of action for our future—it might be difficult, we might have to part ways with how we’re doing that—and Venus wants us to have the best and most beautiful life!

Instead of going into a negative place with this transit, it’s about focusing on your value right now. Asking yourself questions like, “ What can I really do and create for my future?” and “ What skills do I have that I can I believe in right now?”  Believe in who you are and in your talents and skills and abilities and bring them to the collective in a useful and tangible way.

Last night I was part of an interactive live webinar from an astrologer who actually is an alumnus of the class I just started taking on Hellenistic astrology last weekend.  She offered a free class on how to co-create what you are desiring over the next three months with the help of the transits and it was a really fun webinar. She actually gave a free mini-transits-reading for the next three months for everyone in attendance!  I couldn’t believe it!  When I hopped on, I was in my “scuzzies,” a.k.a. my comfortable mom uniform—shorts and tank top, with my hair up in a high bun, because it was so hot, no makeup, no jewelry—and my toddler was crawling all over me, wanting to nurse.  I had no idea that the participants were supposed to have their cameras on, their mics on, and be ready to participate! 

It was awesome, though! I had to ask my husband for help because I was so unprepared.  Once he was able to take our little Virgo on an adventure outside (to see the tree that had fallen down in our side yard from the storm an hour earlier, no less), I was able to fully participate and got a free mini-transit reading going over the next three months!

Anyway, value value value! What can you create that has value right now? The above is just one example of someone creating something that has major value for the collective in a tangible, practical way.

Venus is getting some help from Neptune this weekend, thank goodness! Venus in Taurus and Neptune in Pisces will be forming a sextile—a positive aspect that means opportunity!  This aspect is in Earth and water signs which means it’s an opportunity we create ourselves by taking some sort of action.  what is your gut telling you?  What is the divine telling you to do?

My gut told me last night to make stickers, LOL!  And to reevaluate some of the prices in my shop to be more competitive.  It’s definitely a time to share your creations—it’s a beautiful sextile.

But with the extreme pressure from Saturn, and Venus heading towards the star Algol (the fixed star that rules alcohol, amongst other things), and the Moon moving into Pisces by tonight, there could be a feeling of wanting to escape from the stress, the drama, and the pressure. 

This brings me to Sunday and a heads up about Monday…

Once the Moon moves into Pisces, we could start to feel really lost.  The Moon will be in the same sign as Neptune and conjoin Neptune by Monday afternoon, but before that, remember that the Moon will be making a square to Mercury,  and then by Monday night, square the Sun in the final degrees of Gemini and Pisces, respectively. 

The last degree of Pisces- I’ve said it before, but it’s the place where people lose their shit, they freak out, they go crazy, or they slip into a drinking binge or drugs.  These are obviously the shadow sides of this aspect, but we need to remind ourselves to hang on and focus on the positives as we go through this very difficult energy, Sunday into Monday.

So, the Moon in Pisces wants to believe in magic and dreams—there could be a need to slow down and rest our minds, do some recreational artistic activity, like adult coloring, or work on a puzzle or something.  Seriously, dumb it down and do something fun and relaxing this weekend that can both bring out your creative, intuitive, artistic side and also provide a constructive activity—something you can allow yourself to get lost in that won’t have negative consequences. 

Mercury is out of shadow this weekend which is great because it means we finally have some agency to get some things done in our life that we haven't been able to do over the past 5 weeks.  It’s all about what you can make and contribute to create great things in your life. 

People could be in a major freak out, so be prepared…even if you are able to keep your cool, others around you may not be, especially on Monday and Tuesday when we’re coming into the square that I mentioned, and let’s not forget the Summer Solstice.

It could feel a little bit like we’re entering the Wild Wild West right now with the North Node and Uranus conjunction in Taurus building up over the next month (this aspect will become exact on July 31, but we will start to feel it and see seemingly random, crazy, or wild things going on in the collective starting around July 4th—so, just a heads up).

Also, remember that Pluto is retrograde heading back to the 27th degree, making a return to the USA’s natal Pluto according to the birth chart for the United States on July 4, 1776—the USA is going through a major transformation right now and this is Pluto we’re dealing with so it represents an irrevocable change, things will not be the same as they were before—with the main structures of the country (Capricorn).  It’s up to us to figure out how to create something better, just like our forefathers, that supports ourselves and the collective in a new and positive way.  (Not the WEF way!) This aspect will be exact on July 11, 2022.

Remember and focus on the blessings in your life!  A grand trine is a beautiful, supportive, easy-flowing aspect where all the planets involved are in harmony and balance with each other.  They can see each other in the heavens and they like and support what they see! 

I feel like this is a reminder to focus on the positives in your life, count your blessings, and say thank you to the Universe for all the things you are grateful for. 

With Father’s Day being Sunday, say thank you to your father or the father figure in your life and if your father isn’t here or there’s bad blood there—practice forgiveness and bless the situation.  My father always says to bless those people and those situations that are causing difficulties in your life because only good can come from sending blessing energy. 

And to my own father (thank you for subscribing!): Thank you, Dad, for all that you do and all that you are!  You truly are an inspiration, a guide, and a sturdy stable rock in my life and I am so grateful and thankful for you!

I was actually thinking about creating a “Blessing Mug” with an intention written on it that talks about sending a blessing to someone or something every time you took a sip!  What do you think of that idea?  Would you use a “Blessing Mug?” 

I just think it’s a really cool idea and would help me remember to send loving energy, light, and blessings to people in my life.  Sometimes I get so caught up in my own life, the whirlwind of five kids, the stresses of homeschooling, the endless thankless tasks of domestic duties, that I forget to think about others and what they may be going through. I think this mug would help me give in a way that would, ironically, bless me as well!
