Good afternoon, friends!
Well, here we are, with Jupiter at the very last degree of Gemini, Venus at the very last degree of Aries, and Mercury moving very fast — also entering the final degree of Gemini over the weekend. All three of these planets are about to shift signs: Venus tomorrow, Mercury on Sunday, and Jupiter on Monday. Today marks a powerful turning point — a day heralding positive change.
Why positive change? Because we have the two benefics, Venus and Jupiter, leaving signs where they don’t thrive. In traditional astrology, Aries is said to be the sign of Venus’s exile or detriment because it is a Mars-ruled sign, the opposite of Venus.
Venus in Aries is a badass—a fighter, and an independent force to reckon with, but these are Martial traits because Mars rules Aries. Venus is about love, not war—pleasant and calm interactions, not aggressive and domineering maneuvers. She is about unity, relationships, and sensual pleasures with others, not independently forging ahead, leaving a trail of fire and destruction behind her.
In traditional astrology, Gemini is said to be the sign of Jupiter’s exile or detriment because it is a Mercury-ruled sign, the opposite of Jupiter.
Jupiter in Gemini is an amazing data collector, no stone is left unturned, no set of figures is left unanalyzed, and no curiosity is left unexplored, but Jupiter naturally is about the big picture, not the small puzzle piece; about believing and having faith, not necessarily having to back up that belief with hard facts; and he is about love, trust, and acceptance in the truth that binds us as living beings with souls no matter where we are from, how we grew up, or what we look like; he’s not a skeptic, a cynic, or a critic, those are all Mercurial traits. Gemini is Jupiter’s exile, because it gets caught in the weeds when Jupiter is trying to paint a mural.
So, with both benefics moving into signs where they are free to express their natural significations and are more able to bring the good fortune that they represent, and with Mercury moving into Cancer, a sign that is associated with feeling comfortable and in an environment that feels like home--the world is about to get a lot brighter and lighter. At least for a little while.
Jupiter will stay in Cancer for about a full year, whereas Venus will spend the next month in Taurus, and Mercury will whizz through Cancer in 2 ½ weeks. So, it is a time to celebrate and enjoy life, and boy am I ready for that, aren’t you?
Now, I’m not saying that there won’t be any B.S. that we are all going to have to deal with, I mean Jupiter will square Saturn and Neptune a few days after his ingress into Cancer and then he will also be overcome by the Sun, resetting the Sun/Jupiter synodic cycle, but the next year could have many fruitful manifestations, rewards, and wonderful things to celebrate. I am so excited, I’m giddy! I think there’s probably a party being planned by astrologers right now for Monday, June 9, 2025, LOL!
