Venus Conjoins the North Node & XVIII The Moon
Daily Horoscope Check-In for Wednesday, April 17, 2024
Good morning, friends!
Before we get into it, please check out the Mother’s Day sale going on from now until the end of May 2024. The annual subscription to the newsletter is 50% off for the first year! Yay!
I love Mother’s Day and since Venus is conjoining the North Node today, I felt like it was an awesome time to honor the goddess of love, affection, and the feminine archetype in all her stages--maiden, mother, crone--with something special. You can subscribe to the newsletter yourself or give it as a gift to mom or someone you love!
Okay, let’s get into…the astrology
Today is a good day! That’s it. That’s all you need to know. You can stop reading now, LOL!
The Moon in Leo made a trine to Venus and then to the North Node in Aries early in the morning, first bringing harmony, love, and affection, and then it was amplified, like someone turning the volume up on a really great song that everyone loved!
At 11:08 am ET, the Moon will make, another trine, this time to Mercury in Aries retrograde, meaning that our environments, conversations, and mental attitudes will be in good spirits! We could feel happy, joyful, and youthful today and be surrounded by the same spontaneous and excited energy. It may be a bit contagious! Reminds me of the vocal warm-up, “Laughter is contagious and it’s advantageous, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha!”
In the afternoon the gregarious Moon in Leo will form another trine to Chiron in Aries, indicating that we may have wounds and vulnerabilities, but today we are healing through love, laughter, and sunshine warming us from the inside out.
The Moon does make two quincunxes today to both malefics, first to Saturn in Pisces early in the morning and then to Mars in the afternoon, but this feels like we are turning our backs on the challenges today in favor of looking on the bright side and paying attention to the positive, harmonious, and good things instead. Sometimes we just need to ignore the problems for a day, right?! They will be there when we turn around and look at them again, so today is a day for putting down all the hardships and just enjoying the sunshine, the gentle breeze, and the smell of spring flowers!
Venus in Aries will conjoin the North Node at 2:45 pm ET which increases, amplifies, and focuses our attention on love, affection, friendship, and harmony in our environments. Venus is at detriment in Aries because she is in the sign opposite to the one that she rules, Libra, meaning that Venus may do things in a more Mars-like way (since Mars rules Aries) taking action, being more physical, and assertive in her desires. She may request what she wants with an active voice instead of passively hoping for something. Because of this we may all feel a bit more bold, courageous, and outgoing today, and over the next couple of days as Venus is still within the 3° range of engagement to the North Node.
Later this afternoon the Moon in Leo will perfect squares to both Jupiter and Uranus between 4:11 pm and 5:19 pm ET indicating blessings, aid, help, and support coming via unexpected avenues. The square aspect is of the nature of Mars and so it can represent physically acting on something to make it happen. The Moon feels royal and special, like the Sun when she is in Leo, and with the square to Jupiter she is asking for a crown, a recognition that she is worthy. Jupiter loves the Moon while he is in Taurus, which means he is more apt to favor her requests! With the added twist of Uranian energy in the mix and with Jupiter and Uranus in the same degree today—so close to their exact conjunction—I think how Jupiter delivers may surprise you! The aid, blessings, and support may come in an unpredictable way or from an unlikely source. I would love to hear about your experiences with these archetypes!
Let’s see what the cards have to say…
