Good morning, afternoon, or evening, friends! Wherever you are, it’s time to dive into: the astrology…
Last night I had a dream that my solar return chart was something that I was discussing with a lawyer and we were making preparations for my life based on it. In my dream, my birth chart and any other charts cast from it were extremely important, not just to me, but to others as well. It was like I was living in a world where it was expected that we would have to look at the charts often and you were expected to know what was going on in your solar return chart for that year and be able to talk about it from memory.
I am pretty sure that I dreamt about this because I have been studying interpretive techniques for Solar Returns. A Solar Return chart is a chart that is cast for the exact time that the Sun in the sky returns to the same degree and minute that it was at your birth. So it’s basically a birthday chart that can help you understand what to expect in the coming year.
I feel that Modern astrological techniques (the ones I currently know) used to interpret the Solar Return chart are inefficient and lack the skill needed to predict concrete situations that may come up for people, so I am studying the ancient Hellenistic and Medieval forms of delineation, hence the dream. I always dream about what I am learning! Do you have dreams about what you are focusing on, too?
When I was 13 and learning how to crochet, I dreamt all night about crocheting! I distinctly remember that dream because I was ill at the time and I had a fever, so I had fever dreams about crocheting and it kind of turned me off to the craft at the time! I tried to crochet for a little while but stopped and didn’t pick it back up until about ten years later. Now, I love to crochet! My point is, that our subconscious works on things all the time, weaving the yarns together.
I feel that this dream-learning that I am experiencing is very Mercury/Neptune, which I explain below. So, without further ado, let’s dive into, the astrology…
Saturday is probably the best day of the whole week!
The Moon is now in communicative Gemini, so the focus for the weekend will be on staying curious, collecting data, chatting about what we’re thinking, and sharing our ideas.
The Moon is also going to make two sextiles, one to Jupiter in Aries and one to Mercury in Leo, whilst Mercury and Jupiter are perfecting the trine that I talked about yesterday! This could be a really fun aspect and make for a great weekend!
We could feel more social, more talkative, and lively! Its like the Universe is saying, “Here, have a party this weekend—on me!” Thanks, Universe!
We all need a break from the drudgery, stress, and anxiety that has been weighing us down. And next week, the heavier emotions are coming back, so live it up this weekend!
Do what you can to have fun and let off some steam! Watch comedies or comedians! Play Mad Libs with your kids or other games that bring on the roaring laughter! With Mercury in Leo, “Roaring Laughter” totally feels perfect, right?!
Venus is getting closer and closer to that square to Jupiter, which becomes exact on Monday, so we may feel an extra dose of fiery energy under our butts to have a good time this weekend.
Don’t waste it—it’s fun, exciting, childlike energy that can uplift your spirits, as long as you remain curious, ready to laugh, and feel joy!
As we come into Sunday, Mercury in Leo will be within a three degree orb of making a square to Mars in Taurus. This could bring out the more argumentative side of Mercury in Leo, so be prepared for people to get a little edgy and a bit more volatile and explosive. This energy will start to be felt on Sunday and last until about July 30, next Saturday, so all week.
Also on Sunday, Venus in Cancer will be making a sesquiquadrate to Saturn in Aquarius, and Mercury in Leo will be forming one as well to Neptune in Pisces.
What this means is that we will most likely have a pause in the festivities and socializing on Sunday so that we can reassess our responsibilities. Our imaginations could be in overdrive, so we may need to grab a cup of neuro-relaxing tea and write out our feelings in a journal or something. Getting them out on paper (or screen) will help us to understand them better.
As my dream illustrated above, we could be working on things in our dreams. I love this type of homework, don’t you? We may not see any concrete results at the moment from this “dream work,” but it will manifest later. It is a great weekend to keep a dream journal.
Sunday is also a good time to do a brain dump, and clear out your mind of the clutter so that you can emotionally handle next week. With the Moon going into Cancer on Monday, and into her dark phase as she approaches the New Moon in Leo on Thursday, there will most likely be tears to shed and things to release concering our past and our family dramas, so Sunday is a good day to bolster yourself up so you can handle it. The best way that I have found to do this while the Moon is in Gemini, is to write or talk—do what feels natural for you.
The card for the weekend is:
Seven of Pentacles--Reversed
We may feel that our progress or productivity is being limited or restricted somehow. When this card is upright it means both fear of failure and fear of success.
This card is very “Saturn in Taurus,” i.e. physical work and responsibility-- and waiting for all of your hard work to pay off. In the reversed position, I feel that it is telling us to “have no fear” this weekend. Astrologically, this weekend can be fun and enjoyable. This card is reminding us to check our attitudes because it’s up to us how to react to our situations.
Let’s pick a second card for clarity:
Knight of Cups
The Knight of Cups represents advancement, fulfillment, and emotional healing. He is the master of emotional desires.
The fish swimming around on his armor symbolize emotions swirling within, but the horse on his shoulder, represents strength, passion, and truth. The Knight is wearing a helmet, signifying that he is emotionally guarded and cautious. He is a Knight, someone willing and ready to defend the throne, but in this picture, he is relaxing, enjoying some wine, and probably having social time.
I feel that his card is reminding us to pay attention to our emotional boundaries. We may need to guard ourselves in order to feel safe. It is a card of moving forward and advancing by healing something emotionally. Since the Knight is enjoying himself in this picture, I feel it is a reminder to allow ourselves to have a good time this weekend. Even Knights need a party, every once in a while, to keep up morale. So—do the same for yourself this weekend!
I hope this weekend's report and card reading are helpful!
Until Monday,
AstroMommy
