You Are a Mirror

The moon is not reflecting the truth today

like a costume, I have to hide the truth and expand my imagination

because I don’t want to see what is right on top

the reality has too much power

I wish I could say my faith has been renewed

And I now have a dynamic belief

Not in the dark cancer that was trying to take hold

But in the hope that the light will prevail

And healing will happen

That the love would become sticky again, like blood forming a clot

the cut lets the blood flow out, the clot makes a biological band-aid holding the blood in

and this is what we want, or lest we bleed out

I need to concentrate on those thoughts

And enjoy the moment

Take every breath of you in

Because it’s unnecessary to get angry

at your reflective nature

you’re only holding up a mirror

so I can adjust my own costume
