Okay, let’s get into…the astrology
Today is the New Moon in Taurus! I am excited for this one because the New Moon energy also has BOTH benefics in the same sign, Venus and Jupiter, bringing so much positive and abundant energy to this potent New Moon.
Above is the chart of the New Moon at 18°Taurus 02’. You can see the Sun and the Moon both on the right-hand side of the chart between 3 and 4 o’clock. The New Moon is copresent with Jupiter, Uranus, and Venus.
Earlier in the day the Sun made a sextile to Saturn in Pisces indicating a possibility for something serious, long-lasting, and steady to be formed.
Then the Moon conjoined Venus which sings loudly about love, pleasantries, smiles, and laughter! Moon conjoined Venus is always such a fun transit and with their coupling being in the Moon’s exaltation and Venus’s home sign of Taurus this is a transit that gushes with overwhelming feelings of happiness, love, affection, and warmth, like a baby suckling at her mother’s breast, feeling completely content, secure, and delighted with pleasure.
Then an hour and a half before the exact new Moon, the Moon forms a sextile to Saturn herself, and this seals the deal, so to speak. The Sun and the Moon have both made positive sextiles to Saturn indicating the possibility of building something long-lasting and enduring, a foundation of sorts. Saturn is structures and the Sun is our ambitions, goals, spirit, and knowing self, and the Moon is our circumstances, environment, feelings, and intuition. So, the Moon and Sun coming together align our spirit and souls to the same frequency and then to have both of them in harmony with Saturn, the reaper of the harvest, the deliverer of karma, this means that this new beginning is supported by material structures and traditional foundations.
Here are some fun questions to ask yourself on this New Moon:
What are you starting today? What do you notice? Who are you building something with? What new things are you physically manifesting in your life right now?
