You know the moon is in Virgo when…

You wake up in the morning and one of the first things you want to do is clean your toilet.  I practice the Fly Lady house cleaning system and so this is not unusual for me to, ‘Swish and Swipe’ my toilet in the morning, but I have been slacking…I had a migraine for the last few days and all I wanted to do over the weekend were things I enjoyed, like sewing, reading, and puttering around in my garden, so I neglected this space in my house…even yesterday, during my usual, ‘Weekly Home Blessing,’ I did not do it…

I could just blame this on my headache, and I did, but it was also because the Moon was in Leo and I just wanted to spend my time doing the things I enjoyed. Now that the moon has moved into Virgo and most of this nasty headache is gone, I feel motivated to get back to my normal routine—‘Swish and swiping’ my bathroom in the morning and today I am going to ‘Bless my Home,’ Fly Lady style! 

These are definitely Virgo in nature: cleaning, tidying, organizing, sticking to routine…getting in touch with reality, which happens to be the fact that my kitchen is overflowing with dishes and the hairy dust bunnies all over my house need to be corralled and contained. 

All that to say, today is a BIG day, Astrologically speaking!  Two MAJOR things are happening in the heavens today—I can’t help but mention them in their natal tongue:  Mercury is station retrograde this morning (it has already happened about an hour ago at the time of this writing) and Jupiter enters into Aries tonight at 7:21 pm EST! 

When the biggest planet changes sign we all feel it—and the world is going to feel it! 

Massive explosive energy, massive energy to get things started, massive energy to take charge and act upon those things that we want!  Jupiter and Mars will now be in mutual reception, so they love each other!  The Planet of Expansion and the Planet of War are going to be having a party tonight!  Now that doesn’t mean that we are going into war, it just means that the energy is going to shift in a BIG way and it will be impossible for us mere mortals not to feel it in our consciousness.   

Now, back to Mercury station retrograde—whatever has been happening the last few weeks, whatever you’ve been dwelling on or thinking about—for the next three weeks during this transit, it will be a time to reflect on all those things.  Mercury is in Gemini right now, and the moon is in Virgo, a Mercury-ruled sign, so it’s a good time to write, journal, and take notes about your feelings and what’s going well in your life, and what you can edit to make it better.  We’ve been living the “rough draft,” and now it’s time to clean it up and get ready to present the “final draft.”
