Without further ado, here is the daily horoscope.
Good morning, friends!
Well, today we’re going to go back to another way that I used to do the horoscope, a one-day forecast! I still have family visiting and so again, I will not be making a read-aloud of today’s post—I do apologize! This is about what I have time to pump out, and ironically I feel it fits with the transits since Mercury is slowing way down and about to station retrograde on Wednesday, so naturally, my ability to produce words, horoscopes, and podcasts, is slowing down too!
But, this is a big week astrologically, as I said Mercury is about to station retrograde on Wednesday, but before he does—on Tuesday, Mars will form an opposition to Neptune and Venus will square Jupiter, then on Wednesday, Mercury will go retrograde and the Sun will ingress into the sign of Virgo, kicking off Virgo season! So, these are some big shifts coming this week, and today the Sun and Moon are both in YOD1 formations with Neptune and Pluto: a very interesting and somewhat rare transit!
Okay, let’s get into… the astrology
On Monday, the Moon is in Libra, having ingressed into this sign over the weekend and I don’t know about you, but it was a really nice energy for the weekend! I had a lot of fun with family swimming at the hotel we stayed at and when we were driving home there was a lot of traffic—seemed like a lot of folks were getting in a last weekend of fun before the start of the new school year!
The Moon in Libra started off the day on Monday with a quincunx to Uranus in Taurus at 5:46 am ET indicating that the surprises are not done even though we may be ready for them to be!
The early morning on Monday is a great time to get things done—we may still have some energy in the cooler part of the day before the afternoon heat sets in and the Moon meets up with the South Node.
At 12:22 pm ET, the Moon will conjoin the South Node in Libra, representing a lull in our energy, or maybe the exertions of the weekend catching up to all of us and we may feel run down, drained, or fatigued.
An hour after that, the Moon in Libra forms a quincunx to Neptune in Pisces and then half an hour after that, the Sun in Leo perfects a quincunx to Pluto in Capricorn. The Moon then squares Pluto at 4:19 and then at 4:30 pm ET, perfects her sextile to the Sun, activating two YODs! This afternoon is full of fated energy!
The first YOD, involving the Moon, the Sun, and Neptune represents the desire to be our most authentic true selves and work with our environments to manifest something that we feel spiritually called to do.
For the second YOD, Pluto is still within range of his sextile to Neptune in Pisces, and now the Sun is reactivating this harmonious aspect by making quincunxes to both planets. First, the sun formed the exact quincunx to Neptune on Sunday early in the morning and then he forms the next one to Pluto in Capricorn, in the afternoon on Monday, so this YOD formation, a “finger of God,” represents a plot twist where we may feel there are fated events taking place that are facilitating a deep shift in our psyche.
These events may include some delays or necessary separations or deviations from the original plan in order to serve a higher purpose or direction.
Another aspect of this that is interesting is that a YOD with the Sun and two outer planets is relatively rare since the outer planets move so slowly and are not always in sextiles to each other when the Sun is forming quincunxes to each, so this could be a more noticeable transit. Additionally, how often do we have two YODs with both luminaries, the Sun and the Moon, and two outer planets?!
So, events today could feel destined and it could feel like the tracks our trains were traveling on are suddenly switched and we are now moving along a different track, but one that will ultimately lead us to a better destination.
After these YODs, Mars in Virgo forms a quincunx to the North Node in Aries at 6:46 pm and then the Moon ingresses into the sign of Scorpio right after that at 7:22 pm ET.
So, Mars is trying to work on the details of the situation and make strides towards a certain outcome or goal but there could be old wounds or old ways of identifying yourself that come up that are like little thorns in your side that you have to figure out how to get out and find some relief from. Or it could just literally be a crazy storm system that is hitting your area that is throwing a serious wrench in your plans and you have to figure out how to handle it all!
Then the Moon ends her day ingressing into Scorpio, the sign of her fall, where it could get really emotional. The Moon in Scorpio wants to hang onto things and not let them go, but with all the YOD energy and Mars in his quincunx to the North Node, letting go of something is very real on Monday night. We have to say goodbye—like I will have to say goodbye to my family members who are leaving tonight—it’s a bittersweet situation where I will feel sad to see them go, but we all understand the reality that we have to get back to our regular lives.
So, there could be something you are letting go of or separating from that is a bit emotional, but you know that it is for the best right now.
Let’s move on to the card for the day:
What is the guidance for today?
XIV Temperance
XIV The Temperance card is all about staying calm, balanced, and patient. Having an even temperament and executing your internal powers of control. The angel on this card is mixing the spirit with material, blending the two into an alchemical blend. One foot is on the earth, symbolizing the need for stability and staying grounded, and one is in the water, symbolizing being in the flow. Rather than relying on an outside force to maintain balance, The Temperance card speaks to using your own inner strengths to manage yourself.
As the card for the day, I feel this is brilliant advice! We must do our best to stay in a tempered state of mind, stay calm, and be in the flow of life with the goal of maintaining harmony and patience. I love this for a Monday!
Balance is about riding the waves of life without freaking out and falling in the water, it’s not about staying still or only being on calm waters, it’s about using our abs to stay upright. So, stay upright today, use your muscles, internally, literally, and figuratively to stay on the surfboard!

A YOD is a special transit that involves at least three planets and forms a narrow triangle-shaped aspect between the three. The base of the triangle is a sextile (a 60-degree angle) between two planets, a harmonious aspect, representing an opportunity-- and in this case, this is between the Sun and the Moon (in YOD #1) and also Pluto in Capricorn and Neptune in Pisces (in YOD #2). Then, those two planets each make a quincunx (a 150-degree angle), which is not a harmonious aspect, but one that represents change and separation-- with a third planet, forming the apex of the triangle, in this case, the apex planet is the Neptune (YOD #1) and the Sun (YOD #2).
Thank you!
