Without further ado, here is the daily horoscope.

Good morning, friends!

First, before we get into the weekend forecast, I would like to inform everyone in the AstroMommy community that today is International Tiger Day! Apparently, International Tiger Day falls every year on July 29. You can Learn about tigers here, and watch a video here, but the reason I found this to be intriguing is that the first word of our current word list for the Lunar Poetry Ritual, that we are working with is: Tiger! So, it just seemed like a good time to remind everyone of the word list poem that is due on August 1, 2023, for the Full Moon in Aquarius. You can find the current word list here.

Okay, let’s get into… the astrology

So, this weekend we have the Sun now at 6° of Leo, separating from his quincunx to Saturn which could feel nice.  The Moon is in Sagittarius for most of Saturday and then will ingress into Capricorn on Saturday night.  Mercury is now in Virgo, approaching an opposition to Saturn and a conjunction with Mars in the near future, and Venus has now retrograded back to 27° Leo, coming off the quincunx to Pluto, but still within the 3-degrees of engagement, as she is simultaneously applying to the exact quincunx to Neptune which will perfect on Sunday.

So, it feels as if there have been a lot of dramatic changes over the last week or so, with the Sun opposing Pluto and ingressing into Leo, and then Pluto squaring the Nodes for several days and of course with Venus stationing retrograde!  All in the wake of a new Moon in Cancer that started out the week last week!  It’s been a lot!

This weekend feels a bit like we are getting a small break from the intense shifts and edgy feelings.  The Moon in Sagittarius already squared Saturn on Friday and although we are building up to a square to Neptune, it just feels less sharp.  There are also harmonious trines we have to look forward to between Mars and Jupiter and Mercury and Jupiter, and I am loving those on the horizon.

I have a bit of a headache today, so instead of giving y’all a play-by-play of the transits, I want to just talk about the overall themes for the weekend and then do a three-card relationship spread.

On Saturday…

The energy may feel nice and pleasant for most of the day.  The Moon in Sagittarius will form trines to Chiron and to Venus, as well as a trine and sextile to the Nodes.  This is a pleasant energy that brings harmonious interactions with family, friends, and loved ones.

In the evening on Saturday, the Moon does square Neptune, indicating some feelings of uncertainty, loss, or grief that could come up.  I know that my husband and I are planning to go and see Sound of Freedom at 7:15 pm on Saturday night, with free tickets generously provided by Angel Studios, and the Moon will square Neptune as the movie starts at 7:32 pm ET—this seems so fitting to me since the film is about child trafficking!  Of course, I expect to feel loss, confusion, sadness, and grief, all things associated with the Moon squaring Neptune, and interestingly enough the Moon also represents children and Neptune can represent things that are scandalous, treacherous, and have a sort of drug-like effect on the body and mind, as well as things that are hidden behind deceitful facades.

If you’d like to get a free ticket to see Sound of Freedom too, use the link in the description of this video interview with movie producer Eduardo Verastegui, to do so!
