Good morning, friends!

Okay, let’s get into… the astrology
(All times are in Easter Time (ET) unless mentioned otherwise)
On Friday…
The Moon will be in Cancer all day and will be perfecting her third quarter square to the Sun in Libra as well as getting closer and closer to forming a dynamic T-Square with Mars and Pluto, happening tomorrow, Saturday! This is a big transit that is building up. Pluto is also slowing way down and about to station direct on October 10th, so this weekend may be a very big emotional test!
But, on Friday, the first transit of the day is between Venus and Pluto. Venus in Leo will perfect a quincunx to Pluto in Capricorn at 8:49 am at 27° of their respective signs. Venus is only one degree away from coming out of shadow. She will exit shadow tomorrow when she hits 28° Leo 36’. So, this quincunx to Pluto feels odd and like you may not fully understand something about the Venus retrograde period, or something kind of creeps back up and taps you on the shoulder and you take a double take because you can’t believe who it is! It is something or someone who you thought was walking away turning around and speaking directly at you and you stand there stunned because you don’t believe your ears! It’s some sort of skeleton in your closet peaking its head out again that you thought you shoved so far back in the wardrobe that you’d never see it again, but here it is. It’s something you thought was dealt with popping up again and it may be things that have to do with our values, relationships, and money because it’s Venus, but it could also have to do with posions, power grabs, and corruption because it’s Pluto.
Then at 9:32 am the Moon in Cancer forms a semisquare to Venus in Leo, indicating a frustrated emotional response. Things may seem on edge, just hovering at the edge of the cliff, like a ball resting on the top stair, so close to the tipping point where it can’t help itself, but start to roll down the stairs.
Fifteen minutes later the Moon perfects her square to the Sun, the Third Quarter Moon phase, and it’s as if the Sun pushes that ball and down it goes! Life takes a turn. The Third Quarter Moon is a crisis point in the cycle when action, events, and catalyst experiences happen. It’s also about turning your resources into new things by reimagining what they could be!
I always talk about making wine out of grapes during this phase of the Moon because it’s about taking something you already have, your grapes, and prolonging their life, prolonging the enjoyment of that bounty, turning them into wine, which can sit on the shelf and outlive you—the third quarter phase is about building your legacy, and more specifically, it’s about taking what you’ve been working on in this particular lunar cycle and transforming it or building upon it in some way that it takes on a life of its own and becomes something that has a long shelf-life, or immortality, like a hit song, a classic book, or a timeless poem.
What were your intentions set during the New Moon in Virgo? What have you been working on during this lunar cycle? How can you use the current resources that you have to make a legacy for yourself?
By the late morning at 11:29 am the Moon in Cancer perfects a sextile to Jupiter in Taurus retrograde and this is such a positive transit! This speaks to the possibility of harmony, abundance, and optimism and can represent an increase in wealth, prosperity, and joy! This transit is further strengthened in its positive effect by the fact that the Moon is in Cancer which is the sign where Jupiter is exalted and Jupiter is in Taurus which is the sign where the Moon is exalted! This is called mutual reception and symbolizes a very strong affinity between the Moon and Jupiter! This is a positive omen and means many blessings in the situation! One caution though, with the dignity of exaltation is the tendency to over-hype something or over-inflate a situation, so we could see an opportunity or experience some good fortune and get over-optimistic about it or make it into something bigger than it really is—so we need to be realistic about whatever this is and stay even tempered with it. Jupiter represents a gentle temperament and the Moon in Cancer can be emotional, so let’s keep a steady head about whatever this is.
This feels like someone winning the lottery, but it’s so hard to believe and it’s all too easy to fly around in the clouds about what they are going to do with the money when they get it. But, they have to wait for it to actually hit their bank account before they can spend a penny—and there are tons of hurdles and paperwork that has to happen before all that can happen. So, be realistic, stay even-keeled, keep your head, and maintain your composure.
Remember, we have a big weekend ahead of us with a lot of stress building and metaphorical “bombs” about to drop or “explosions” about to hit, so just keep your excitement in check—we need to wait and see what is going to happen over the weekend before we do anything with this opportunity!
At 11:51 am Venus hits 28°, the same degree where she went retrograde on July 22. She will officially exit this post-shadow period tomorrow morning at 5:25 am when she hits 28°Leo36’ on Saturday, but this is the end of her retrograde cycle and this could come along with a better understanding of what the Venus retrograde was all about for you.
In the late afternoon at 3:57 pm the Moon in Cancer forms a sesquiquadrate to Saturn in Pisces retrograde and this is another indication that we have to wait to take action. The sesquiquadrate represents something that is already in motion but then there are delays and setbacks. The Moon and Saturn together represent serious situations, agreements, contracts, and legal paperwork. Because they are both in water signs there is a hypersensitivity to this that makes me think our emotions and feelings are involved and we may be feeling sorry for ourselves or in some sort of state of panic because of these delays, restrictions, or limitations—like if you won the lottery but you have bills to pay that can’t wait for the actual disbursement!
There is so much pressure building in the astrology right now, it’s very intense!
After this transit from the Moon to Saturn, the Moon then makes a square to Chiron in Aries—don’t sacrifice your life or your independence to try to speed things up! This is an acute crisis point where people may think, well, if I’m going to get the lottery winnings, I could just use all my savings to do x,y,z and I’ll just pay myself back—No, don’t do it! Do not make this type of sacrifice. Play it safe right now! We have this dynamic, heated T-Square forming that will happen this weekend all while Pluto is about to station Direct while being squared by Mars! And this is all happening just a week before the Solar Eclipse! No, it is NOT time to make rash decisions based on something that must happen in the future to make it work out! You need to hold right now. Hold and wait.

X The Wheel of Fortune-Reversed
Instead of describing this card myself, I want to read to you the description and the symbolism of this card from BiddyTarot’s website because I feel it summarizes it beautifully:
“The Wheel of Fortune card shows a giant wheel, with three figures on the outer edges. Four Hebrew letters – YHVH (Yod Heh Vau Heh), the unpronounceable name of God – are inscribed on the wheel’s face. There are also the letters TORA, thought to be a version of the word Torah, meaning ‘law’, or TAROT, or even ROTA (Latin for ‘wheel’). The middle wheel has the alchemical symbols for mercury, sulphur, water and salt – the building blocks of life and the four elements – and represents formative power.
On the outer circle is a snake, the Egyptian god Typhon (the god of evil), descending on the left side. The snake also represents the life force plunging into the material world. On the right side rises the Anubis, the Egyptian God of the dead who welcomes souls to the underworld. And on top of the wheel sits the Sphinx, representing knowledge and strength.
In the corners of the Wheel of Fortune card are four winged creatures, each associated with the four fixed signs of the Zodiac: the angel is Aquarius, the eagle is Scorpio, the lion is Leo, and the bull is Taurus. X The Wheel of Fortune represents fate and fortune; good or bad luck. It represents a turning point in the cycle of life; what goes up must come down and what is down must rise up.
We could experience this as something outside of ourselves in the types of circumstances that we find ourselves in that we feel are beyond our control or it can be something internal that goes through a cyclical change.
In the upright position, this card often denotes a phase of good luck or fortune.
In the reversed position, it can represent your fortune changing, either from good to bad, or bad to good. It could also indicate wanting to control one’s fate by consciously making a choice, maybe one that is different than the previous cycle.
If we step outside of the wheel for a moment and look upon our circumstances as someone who is unattached and objective, we may be able to appreciate the lesson that this change in fortune is trying to teach.
It reminds me of getting pulled into endless summersaults by the ocean tide—it is so hard to navigate when you are spinning like that, but if you were standing next to someone who was getting tossed about, you could easily reach in and pull them up for air.
This card in the reverse position is an invitation to look at your life as if you are your higher self, standing thigh-deep in the ocean, next to yourself caught in the spin of the current, the Wheel of Fortune—how can you reach in and pull your body out? What would you see differently if you were the observer rather than the one caught on in the spin, the wheel?
Going back to our grapes into wine analogy—the Wheel of Fortune reversed is like losing a harvest and now you are unable to make wine. What do you do when faced with this type of injustice?
This weekend may feel like that, like we’ve worked really hard toward something and it’s not working out the way we hoped and with Mars in Libra, we could feel like life just isn’t fair right now!
We are coming to a very emotional crossroads this weekend with Mars about to square Pluto. It’s important to not lose your cool. The pressure is building up so intensely right now as we have the Solar Eclipse approaching and Pluto about to station direct next Tuesday, as well. This is a time to hold the line and hang onto the sides of the Wheel as it goes through an upside-down revolution. Lots of people will be letting go and giving up. Be strong, hold on.
