Good morning, friends!
Well, today is 6 days until Thanksgiving and 8 days till my birthday! I LOVE Thanksgiving dinner and look forward to it every year. It has been hard to stay on task this morning. First, I have a headache, which came on yesterday, and second, there is just so much on my mind that I am finally sitting down to write today’s horoscope and it is nearly 10 am!
All that to say, I am very thankful for the loving responses I received after yesterday’s newsletter update, and really appreciate everyone’s understanding and support.
Okay, let’s get into… the astrology
Today is a bit of a crazy, upside-down, day! The Moon in Virgo will be forming an opposition to Neptune in Pisces and at the same time making a square aspect to Mars in Gemini retrograde—this will form a T-Square which is a very challenging and dynamic aspect in astrology. This will be exact between 4 and 5 pm ET.
The Moon in an opposition to Neptune may bring up instability, feelings of uncertainty, and emotional chaos. The Moon square Mars may bring up inner tension, restlessness, and problems caused by acting on impulse. It is important for the Virgo Moon to try to figure everything out, but the downfall of this energy in this complex T-Square is that it can become overly obsessive, critical, and full of anxiety.
Today could feel rocky and we may feel seasick from all the vacillating thoughts and circumstances. It is especially like being physically seasick—the sea is rocking the boat and you don’t know what to do and honestly, there isn’t much you can do, right? You need to hold on and try not to throw up. What do they always tell you when you’re feeling motion sickness? To focus on the horizon. I think this is the best advice for today…it’s the Mercury and Venus in Sagittarius way…focus on the horizon. Have faith that the seas will calm down and your lunch will stay put.
Besides this uncomfortable place that the Moon finds herself in, the Sun in Scorpio is making a sextile to Pluto in Capricorn, which will perfect at 5:37 pm, ET. This can bring in intense feelings even though it is a positive and harmonious aspect. With Pluto and the Sun coming together, this is like shining a light on the things you need to let go of or the items you need to purge. This could also feel like a personal transformation, being offered a position of power, or leadership, and also could indicate sudden advancement, or a new life’s purpose. My husband today is having a final interview with one of the jobs he is pursuing and this transit is very supportive of getting offered a new job, so I love this!
Let’s move on to the card for the day:
What is the guidance for today?
Two of Shields--Kachina Juggler
On this card, we see a Kachina juggling the yin and yang symbols. Next to him is corn growing and behind him are two different types of mountains. The Sun is on one side and the Moon and stars are on the other side in the sky behind him. Two shields flank the Kachina juggler.
The little instructions booklet reads:
“The essence of the Kachina Juggler is balance. This card represents the law of wicca and physics that states, “For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.” There is added the knowledge that there are three sides to every story: each party’s and the truth. This is a time for detachment and an examination of all aspects of a situation.” (Gonzalez, 1982)1
I feel that this card represents the Moon in Virgo opposite Neptune in Pisces and square Mars in Gemini so perfectly! This T-square is between all mutable signs, the signs of the zodiac where the air is a mixture of the season before and the season that is coming—it is like the estuaries where freshwater intermingles with sea water—it is the places where the land meets the sea—there’s a duality and a double-bodied nature—much like the two choices that the Two of Shields represents. It is a time of weighing out all the options, the pros and cons and the Virgo Moon wants to make lists and over-analyze and scrutinize and try to make sense out of everything and make a plan for every little possible outcome. But, with Neptune in opposition this is impossible! It is impossible to know anything when one finds themselves in a fog and Mars the planet of action doesn’t know which way to go either! He is retrograde and also in a square to Neptune, so the path forward is unclear.
I feel like this card as the guidance for the day is to try to find some balance within the uncertainty. It is safe to say we are all juggling our priorities, roles, and responsibilities in life right now.
Because this card is in the upright position, which is a position of strength and means that we can handle what life throws our way—this card reminds us that we have to manage our time, resources, and energy so that we don’t lose it and drop the balancing act. We are on the boat of life and the seas are rocky and we have to keep it together, breathe in a bag, or sip on peppermint tea to keep the nausea down. We can do this as long as we don’t stress ourselves out. We need to keep our eyes on the horizon instead of looking at the choppy waves. I love the literal advice for seasickness for today’s energy from the article, Easy Ways to Keep From Getting Seasick, from EverydayHealth.com, especially this part:
“If you are feeling seasick, it is often helpful to go out on an open deck or balcony and look toward the horizon. Doing so helps your eyes "see" the motion, which will then send signals to the brain more in alignment with what the inner ear is "telling" the brain.” (Orenstein, Beth W., et al., 2011)2
If we apply this advice metaphorically to our situations, the tools here may help us deal with this Neptune energy in a constructive way.

I hope this is helpful!
Until tomorrow,
