Good morning, friends!
Wow! Last night’s Full Moon was intense! It really did spiritually feel like the scene in Ghostbusters when all the supernatural beings were released from the containment system! I can hear the music of that scene in my head, Magic by Mick Smiley. I had never listened to the whole song until this morning, and it’s actually about love at first sight. The section of the song that they use in the movie diminishes the deeper meaning of the song as a whole. The song is about love and I really felt that last night, underneath all the pressure, the point of everything was to show love.
Now, let’s dive into…the astrology…
The Moon is still super close to Saturn this morning and is forming a square to Mars, so we may feel lonely, isolated, unsupported, and ticked off about it.
Mars in Taurus is forming a trine with Pluto in Capricorn, as he approaches the fixed star Algol—this could be intense. Although a trine is a harmonious aspect, it is with Mars and Pluto, generally malefic planets. Mars and Pluto energy together are very powerful and bring about our capacity for focused physical exertion. Mars in Taurus wants to create and move mountains, and Pluto in Capricorn wants to transform all of our traditional structures and systems, and refresh the mountain, like how a forest fire "removes low-growing underbrush, cleans the forest floor of debris, opens it up
to sunlight, and nourishes the soil” (Cal Fire)—this energy in a trine means that all the gates are open, blockages removed, matches are lit…and transformation can occur. This will be physical because both planets are in Earth signs, so be ready for a change.
The Sun is beginning to oppose Saturn today. This could feel like a lot of pressure to take responsibility for something, like we are under someone’s thumb, so to speak
It’s a lot…the world could seem a little stressful and with the Moon going into Pisces at 2:44 PM ET, the emotional water-works could start to flow for people as the dams start to break down under the stress that the Full Moon applied in “full” force.
The Moon in Pisces feels everything, and unlike the other water signs, Cancer and Scorpio, symbolized by the crab and the scorpion, which have hard exoskeletons, Pisces: the fish, do not—they are as soft on the outside as they are on the inside.
In the 5-day Weekly Forecast, I said that today was about “letting go of expectations.”
The Pisces influence can spin a fantastic utopia in the mind, full of dreams, and what-if scenarios, and then one can feel sad when what they imagined would happen, does not match reality. So, let go of the outcome for today and try to go with the flow.
There could be intense things happening in the world at large that require you to be compassionate and understanding. People may need your comforting presence.
Whatever the case may be, do what you can to nurture your artistic side as you go about your day. Taking some time to draw, write, paint, dance, or sing may be exactly what you need to flow through the rocky terrain of life—like water flowing over the rocks of a beach.
The card for the day is:
VII Dance ~ Reversed
Still an upside-down world out there…
This card, in the traditional tarot, is The Chariot, which means movement, change, and combining periods of activity with periods of quiet peacefulness.
This card is from The New Orleans Voodoo Tarot deck, and in the accompanying book, is described as transcendence, and symbolizes transcending a situation through physical movement, i.e. flow. When a card shows up in the reversed position, it usually means that we feel blocked or we feel like we can’t do what the upright position would suggest, so, in this instance, we may feel that our movement is blocked—not flowing.
I feel that this card is urging us to figure out, how to dislodge the “boulders” that are blocking the flow of energy, so that positive change may occur. What do you need to let go of in order to allow right action to move through you? Spirit wants to dance. What can you release within yourself emotionally, spiritually, mentally or physically, to allow movement and freedom?
“Drumsound rises on the air,
its throb my heart.
A voice inside the beat says,
“I know you’re tired,
but come. This is the way.”
~Rumi

Today’s card was pulled from The New Orleans Voodoo Tarot available on Amazon here.
The Full Moon energy last night was beautiful to me. I didn't feel my typical impotence that usually accompanies an Aquarius moon for me, the Leo. I slept better than usual. I feel like the "boulders blocking the path" that you spoke about, can be bypassed because I am able to navigate above them in my high tech mental drone that I got in my Xmas stocking! I truly enjoy these opportunities to talk about Astrology with you, Monica, in response to your insightful posts.
