Moon Enters Scorpio, Squares Pluto, and Trines Mars, & 14. Temperance-Reversed
Daily Horoscope Check-In for Wednesday, March 27, 2024
Good morning, friends!
It’s raining cats and dogs here today. The sky is a dark gray but everything outside looks like a bright vivid green. I often think of making jewelry when I look at the colors of the seasons, but honestly, dark gray and vivid green isn’t a combination that I’ve done before. I guess I should try it.
I was hoping to post my poem on Monday when it was “due,” but honestly, I didn’t like what I wrote enough to do so. So…I am rewriting the poem—seems very Mercury pre-retrograde-shadow! If you have been wondering where the poetry post was, that is the story. But, I am sure no one is wondering, so I won’t worry about it.
Oh, I am feeling a little glum today about the Lunar Poetry Ritual and I’m not surprised because the Moon has moved in morose Scorpio, the sign of her fall. Feelings can be intense and dramatic when the Moon is in Scorpio and very self-focused. She ingressed into Scorpio at 5:02 am ET and is about to square Pluto in about 4 minutes from now, as I am writing this. Ouch.
The rain just increased its output and I can barely see the other side of the street outside my window. Now, the bright green grass is like a blurry watercolor painting, gray and green bleeding into each other, with hints of swirling brown where they seem to mix.
The Moon square Pluto is when deep emotions come floating to the surface like dead fish and we have to make a decision about what to do with them. Do we remove them from the water or ignore them like large globs of unsettled fat? We can’t mix them in and hide them in the slurry, no, these things that come up when the Moon squares Pluto usually have to be explored, inspected and discussed. They are too intense to leave alone, like a splinter in your foot, they pierce and pinch and pull your attention to their presence with tiny screams of agony.
This afternoon the Moon in Scorpio perfects a trine to Mars in Pisces and this has the potential to be a positive transit that symbolizes taking action on your desires, and the things you’ve been trying to get going over the last few days will finally have a green light. So, you may find yourself taking charge and leading the way, even if you have a splinter in your foot or a dead fish in your bag.
The rest of the day is less direct.
Mars will make a semisquare to Chiron at 1:50 pm ET indicating a wound that needs to be healed or a place in ourselves where we may feel vulnerable or injured; the problem is that the semisquare can’t get it done and instead, especially with Mars, indicates trying to push your agenda or your timeline on the healing process and it won’t get you anywhere. It’s like digging into the flesh to get the splinter out, but failing, or pulling a scab off before it’s ready, and instead of shiny pink healed skin that is prepared to face the world, you get a bloody mess that needs another bandaid. Don’t pick your scabs today, it won’t end well!
At 2:12 pm ET the Moon in Scorpio will form a sesquiquadrate to Venus in Pisces. The sesquiquadrate represents delays and setbacks. There is something having to do with your relationships, values, or finances that you’ve been trying to incorporate, wrap your head around, or get a handle on, and it’s not quite ready yet, but it will be soon because tomorrow the Moon in Scorpio will form a trine to Venus in Pisces so we are headed toward a beautiful transit that means harmony, love, and good fortune, so just be patient.
And finally, the last transit of the day is the Moon in Scorpio quincunx the Sun in Aries perfecting at 8:34 pm ET. This could indicate that there is a change or a separation from the plotline or the mission of the season and could create some tension or conflict. The Moon in Scorpio is moody and intense and also fixates on things, whereas the Sun in Aries knows what they want to do and goes for it and is fine with surpassing others on the trail because they feel most comfortable taking the lead; they like followers, side-kicks, and assistants. So the Sun is leading us somewhere, but the Moon may be upset about it and not want to go, but has no choice but to follow the leader. It’s like our lives are taking a certain direction or trajectory and we may see where it is all headed and there’s something about this path that makes us upset, but it doesn’t matter. No matter how much we pout, complain, or grumble about it, we are still headed that way.
Let’s see what the cards have to say…
