Good Morning, Friends!
Well, I am still dealing with the tail end of my migraine. It is much better and more manageable today, but it was a rough night and I’m exhausted from the pain and feel kind of like my brain is mush, so I am not going to do a full horoscope for the weekend and I do apologize, but this is my life—I have to deal with chronic migraines every month. It does seem to be following the typical pattern and I should be good to go next week.
Anyway, this weekend could be a big one with the Sun’s opposition to Saturn, so I didn’t want to leave y’all hanging with nothing.
We could be facing some harsh realities or hard truths this weekend concerning our missions in life and what obstacles and limitations we are feeling. The energy could be very heavy as the Moon in Sagittarius makes two hard squares on Saturday, one to Neptune in Pisces and one to Mars in Virgo, before she ingresses into the sign of her detriment or exile, Capricorn, on Saturday morning (this has already occurred as of this writing)—so, this could’ve been experienced as a rush to get things done this morning or major anxiety.
Things may be a little easier Saturday afternoon as the Moon, now in Capricorn will form a trine to the Sun in Virgo and a sextile to Saturn in Pisces indicating a feeling of being in the right place at the right time and possibly getting a few serious tasks handled.
On Sunday, at 4:28 am ET, the Sun in Virgo will oppose Saturn in Pisces bringing up many serious things including, but not limited to karma involving the father or a solar figure, like a leader, public figure, or a person of high authority—Saturn is the grim reaper, father time, and deliverer of tests, so facing one’s own mortality, feeling our age, and dealing with hardships are common heavy things to experience during this transit.
Do not be surprised if you feel a bit heavier and more serious this weekend!
Then at 9:19 am ET Mars ingresses into the sign of his detriment or exile, Libra, and we could feel a strong creative urge to sing, dance, and play music, but also a desire to be more diplomatic, charming, and softer in our approach to life—all things very un-Mars-like, but it’s a nice change from the soldier-like Mars in Virgo that just wants to follow orders, make lists, and be endlessly productive.
Mars in Libra, although it is Mars’s detriment, wants to fight for justice, beauty, and harmony, and do it with a partner. People teaming up and joining forces is something we may see a lot of during Mars’s time in Libra.
I love the way astrologer Christopher Renstrom describes Mars in Libra in his book, The Cosmic Calendar1, where he says that Mars in Libra is, “as comfortable in this sign as a tomboy in a Disney princess dress.” (Renstrom, 2020). So, Mars in Libra may be a little grumpy and disgruntled, but I think it is still capable of great things.
