The Sun Conjoins the North Node in Aries & Baba-Reversed
Daily Horoscope Check-In for Thursday, April 4, 2024
Good afternoon, friends!
Today the Sun in Aries will conjoin the North Node which casts a huge spotlight on freedom, movement, leading the way, individuality, pioneering ambitions, taking large strides forward, and feeling inspired to take action!
The Sun represents the central focus of our spirits. It is the driving force behind our ambitions, missions, and the plotlines of our lives, giving us the fuel, vitality, and enthusiasm to burn brightly and charge forth.
The North Node enhances, focuses, and supports the goal and mission of whichever planet it is touching, so in the case of the Sun, this will enhance our enthusiasm, inspiration, and creative energies; focus the mission, plot, or story on moving forward, taking action, and leading the way; and support our individuality, freedom to be unique, and unapologetically authentic!
Before the Sun conjoins the North Node exactly tonight at 6:10 pm ET, the Moon will make a few aspects. First, she will perfect sextiles to the Sun and North Node early this morning, and then later today, Chiron, meaning that emotionally we will feel in alignment with whatever direction we are taking today.
At 11:43 am ET the Moon in Aquarius will make a square to Jupiter in Taurus and then this afternoon at 4:24 pm ET she will square Uranus in Taurus, so there is something big, surprising, and possibly fruitful that may take place today or over the next couple of days. As long as we don’t overdo it, this transit can be really positive, and bring aid, blessings, and good fortune.
The Moon in Aquarius is innovative, progressive, and a bit rebellious but concerned with group dynamics, resources, and staying connected. Jupiter in Taurus is interested in material wealth, abundance, and prosperity, as well as building, maintaining, and growing their passions, so together there could be some innovative achievements. Both Aquarius and Taurus are fixed signs and therefore are interested in maintenance, endurance, and stability. They want to build beautiful, sustainable futures together!
I find it interesting that this transit should be happening today because the HVAC crew is at my home installing the new system today. It’s a material thing that will provide extra comfort (Jupiter in Taurus) by circulating the air (Moon in Aquarius)—providing an ebb and flow of a resource that creates more creature comforts and an environment that can be better managed and maintained. It’s a mundane example, but it fits really well. I just wonder what the Uranian twist will be! I guess I’ll find out! I’ll let y’all know if anything out of the blue happens that we have to work through and overcome!
I have to mention the fact that Venus is at the last degree of Pisces, the anoretic degree, conjoined the fixed star Scheat, which is described as “Love of intellect,” in Brady’s Book of Fixed Stars by Bernadette Brady1.
I’m not going to go deeply into the fixed star Scheat, but I would like to say that it is a star in the constellation Pegasus which has within it a great square that we can see in the night sky. “Pegasus forms a great square in the sky—” Brady says, “the world also being divided into four via the movement of the Sun on its journey (the two equinoxes and the two solstices.)”
“Emerging from these four natural points in the solar year were the four compass points and the division of the world into four sections. Squareness was probably one of the earliest religious and philosophical concepts our ancestors developed as they emerged from the circumpolar goddess religions…and the emerging of the god, the square, or rather the four-sided figure,” she explains.
I find this historical recount fascinating especially since the anoretic degree of Pisces is associated with holding onto one’s faith to make it over the threshold from Pisces—the imaginary world, the ethereal, the spiritual realm, the dreamscape, or fantasy world—into Aries—the spark of existence, of knowing oneself, the conceptual meaning behind the phrase that accompanies Aries, “I am!”
Venus will ingress into Aries at midnight tonight here on the East Coast, 9 pm Pacific. Venus in Aries is a much different energy than Venus in Pisces where she is basically on vacation—come tomorrow, the goddess of love will be ready and willing to fight
