Good morning, friends!
We’ve got a weekend of shifting tides and fiery expansion ahead. The Moon moves from Scorpio’s depth into Sagittarius’ optimism, while the planets stir up both challenges and opportunities for healing.
It’s time to trust the process and seek the truth, even as old beliefs are rattled and challenged.
The 3-card weekend tarot reading guides us to celebrate victories, open our hearts, and prepare for change, because it is coming.
Okay, let’s get into...the astrology
(all times are in Eastern time unless mentioned otherwise)
Friday, September 26, 2025
The day starts out on a warm note, with the Moon having met up with Jupiter really early in the morning or late Thursday night (depending on your time zone). This offers an air of hope, confidence, optimism, and feel-good opportunities for the whole day.
There are surely wounds, vulnerabilities, and triggers that you are still dealing with, but things may feel a little bit more distant now, and less edgy. A helpful interaction with someone older and wiser may occur, or a period of quiet resolution may fill you up like water fills a cup, offering stability, security, and spiritual groundedness.
It’s likely that there is something you want to say to someone, but today is not the day. Either they don’t respond, or you intuitively know that the timing isn’t right, and so you wait. If you do try to call or send an email or text, it is possible that you won’t hear back from them for a couple of days, so be patient.
In the evening, the Moon leaves the intense, introspective, and investigative sign of Scorpio and ingresses into the broad-minded, worldly, righteous sign of Sagittarius, so it’s a transition day, moving from the deep and diffuse element of water to the bright and purifying flames of fire.
This shift may lighten your spirits, as the Sagittarius Moon is less concerned with diving deeply into the hidden corners of our psyche and more about expanding our hearts outward, and enthusiastically sharing its love affair with life itself with anyone and everyone, through smiles, laughter, and a welcoming presence.
This energy will be heightened for as soon as the Moon enters Sagittarius, she engages in a harmonious trine to Neptune retrograde, creating a diffusion of warm and gregarious feelings that spread like beams of sunlight over the ocean. Dreams may be more vivid and intuitive hunches more confident. Somehow, you just know things, like you are tapped into some sort of spiritual radio frequency.
Then the Moon perfects an opposition to Uranus in Gemini retrograde, challenging her optimism, with some sort of shocking truth, data, or information. Now, we must make a decision on how to react. Do we react righteously, clinging to our beliefs, or do we open our minds and consider the possibilities? What if? Stay curious. Stay open. Truth often does not fit comfortably in old beliefs and must break out to live, like a baby bird freeing itself from the shell.
The Moon makes a sextile to Pluto retrograde, softening the shock and reminding us that what was hidden or buried doesn’t always have to be so scary or uncomfortable if we welcome it with open arms and love.
We end the night with Mars forming frustrating aspects to the nodes, indicating it is time to slow down, take the time to think about things, and reassess your options, goals, and motivations. Since Mars is now moving off the square to retrograde Pluto, we may be letting go of obsessions, preoccupations, or fixations. This feels a bit like shedding a skin you once identified with. Let it fall to the ground and do not fear your new skin, which may still be soft and permeable.

Today has an overall cooperative energy, with your purpose and your circumstances aligning toward the same goal; the peace that you seek is possible, given the current mood.
The optimistic Sagittarius Moon is in a harmonious mutual reception2 with expansive Jupiter in Cancer, so even though there are things on your future to-do list that require more steps to complete, you still may be feeling accomplished, successful, and confident about your progress. Do not let the endless to-do list discourage you, instead just keep plugging away at it, celebrating your wins.
AstroDaddy recently shared with me something he saw online that said Japanese monks and Harvard scientists recommend doing the ironing daily and early in the morning, to metaphorically support everything going smoothly that day and releasing tension. I really like this idea; so perhaps do something small today that gives you the feeling of success, completion, and everything working out, like ironing.
In the afternoon, relationships may be tested. Someone may be too critical, nitpicky, or negative about something, and it may inspire you to flee the situation and get as far away from the eyes of scrutiny as possible. Resist the urge to hop on a plane and instead pour out your frustrations with art. Do something creative to channel that moody, disharmonious, or conflicting energy.
Whatever this is could bring up old triggers or ego-wounds, but it is an opportunity to practice all you’ve learned to manage these feelings.
By nightfall, mentally we may be feeling tense and on edge, for Mercury in Libra will perfect a sesquiquadrate to Uranus in Gemini retrograde, symbolizing whatever shocking or disturbing information we’ve recently been privy to is percolating in our thoughts. We are assimilating it into our psyche, making the case for or against it.
With the Sagittarius Moon encouraging us to seek the truth, do not take anything at face value; look within, yourself. Read the paper, research the website, and watch the full video. Remember that the media only shares what furthers their agenda, and that is often only a snippet of the full picture.

In the morning, we may feel a bit emotional and impatient, but this is probably due to the fact that we’ve been going through a lot and we seek some peace and solace. We are ready to move on from something, but our mind keeps bringing it back, demanding that we look at it again. We may have dreams or see things in our environment that remind us of someone or the very thing we are trying to let go of. Journaling may help unload these painful associations.
In fact, writing, speaking, and communicating our thoughts and emotions about whatever it is that we have been dealing with is encouraged today for the Sagittarius Moon forms a harmonious sextile to Mercury in Libra, indicating ease, flow, and clarity with our thoughts and feelings. This aspect may also represent that communications, collaborations, and travel, in general, go well.
You may experience a significant secluded event, inward realization, expression, or emotion as the Moon squares the Nodes from the Southern Bending, representing a private turning point in which you let go of something that wasn’t working and make way for something that will. This transition is meaningful to you or your family.
But, as with any time we have a change, there could be some tension and friction surrounding what you do going forward. Do you completely stop engaging, or do you wean yourself off of the experience, person, or habit? Obviously, this will be specific to you and your situation, but the cosmos is suggesting that there will be some growing pains, so be gentle, kind, and compassionate to yourself and those around you—change is hard and often not immediate. Quitting something cold-turkey requires immense self-discipline, so don’t push, don’t overreact, and be patient with yourself and others.
The evening unfolds first with some uncertainty, because we’re not sure exactly where we are going from here, but then there is a release of old emotions, triggers, vulnerabilities, or ego wounds. Major healing is possible, followed by the strangeness that is felt when we step off the train into a station completely foreign to us. Embrace the newness and the uncertainty; things are changing, and even though change can be scary and unfamiliar, it’s how we grow and blossom into something beautiful.
