Venus Conjoins Neptune, FaceSoul, & The Dream
Daily Horoscope Check-In for Wednesday, April 3, 2024
Good morning, friends!
Sometimes Instagram surprises me and I stumble upon something that lights up my heart and it’s often music…
This song, Empowerment, by FaceSoul graced my feed. I think it’s worth a listen, especially if you woke up feeling as I did, as the Moon in Aquarius conjoined Pluto to the minute, as I opened my astrology program. I was hit with an overwhelming sense of grief, for no reason, except that I knew some people somewhere were feeling that Moon/Pluto combination to their core. My eyes filled with tears of compassion for them.
The other profound transit that is happening today is Venus in Pisces conjoining Neptune at 28°00’ at 9:10 am ET.
Astrologer Renn Butler in his book, The Archetypal Universe: Astrological Patterns in Human Culture, Thought, Emotion, and Dreams describes Venus as, “The Archetype [that] manifests through our yearnings to love and be loved, to enjoy ourselves and bring pleasure to others, and to reach out in friendship and connection.” (2018)1
And he defines Neptune as, “ Blessedly re-enchanting our awareness through dreams and imagination, the Neptune archetype dissolves boundaries, enabling us to compassionately identify with the experiences of other people and other life forms, surrender our limiting egos, and reconnect with our true divine identity.”
The two planets together, he pronounces as, “A sweet and sensitive nature, yin tenderness and devotion, natural kindness and compassion, enjoyment in helping others. An exotic and mystical appeal, a delicate and seamless beauty, exquisite refinement, ethereal charm, the ideal of beauty for beauty’s sake. A dreamy openness, mystical sensuality, romantic bliss, feelings of whimsy and reverie, beautiful dreaming, delicious unthinking romance, sweet intoxication, contented sighs…”
This combination, Venus and Neptune, in Pisces, the modern home sign of Neptune and the exaltation of Venus, but a sign traditionally ruled by Jupiter, has the possibility to be a profoundly sensual, spiritual, artistic, magical, enlightening, joyous, and beautiful transit.
There are shadow sides to this transit, as with all conjunctions, so some things to be aware of are wearing rose-colored glasses in relationships, being swept up in romantic illusions, delusions, and over-idealization. The shadow side of Pisces is escapism, allowing oneself to fall deeply into an abyss of intoxication, or the desire to be saved and have a savior, which sometimes can manifest as making choices that put us in vulnerable situations so that we think we require a savior, but the Pisces archetype is really attempting to merge and dissolve itself back into union with the creator by making self-sacrificial choices to show their devotion to the divine.
The Moon in Aquarius isn’t making any other aspects after her conjunction to Pluto this morning until tomorrow morning when she will perfect a semisquare to Neptune in Pisces, so this day is really about deep feelings coming to the surface and a dreamy state of bliss, creativity, and imagination. Venus conjoined Neptune is the name of today’s book and begins the next year of their annual cycle, symbolizing the death and rebirth of our own dreams, desires, and romantic notions of love, existence, and compassion.
Let’s see what the cards have to say…
What is the guidance for today?
The Dream
On this card we see a path leading through various terrain, a mushroom grove, low hills, leading up to steeper ranges, and on the cliff of one of those mountains is a castle-like home with turrets and Eastern-looking architecture. In the sky above the mountains in the distance is a crescent moon, a star, and a planet with rings.
How perfect is this card for today’s astrology?! Along the bottom of the card, the words say, “The Dream.”
The little instructions booklet says:
“The waking dream is not contained in the head of a dreamer, nor is it outside of reality, nor is it in any unknowable space.”2
Today may feel like a dream. Like floating from one scene to the next on a lazy river of thought, images, and sensations. One of the things that I love about Renn Butler’s book is that he goes over the dreams that people may experience related to the planetary combinations. He has this to say about the dreams of Venus and Neptune together:
“Like a beautiful, flowing painting, these archetypes help to enhance a sweet and loving atmosphere in people’s dreams. Dreamers may see figures who radiate an ethereal and exotic beauty, enjoy magical connections with a mysterious woman, or witness amigos kindly consoling each other. Other scenes include romantic cruises on a serene and peaceful ocean, friends enjoying a refreshing swim in a river…”
I am curious how your day goes and if you notice this archetypal combination and how so. Leave a comment or reply to this newsletter and let me know! So far, for me, it has been music. After listening to FaceSoul’s complete album on Spotify, every song that came next, fed by the algorithm, was Neptunian, dream-like, and dared to take me on a soulful adventure of the heart…maybe I will make a playlist, LOL, a Venus/Neptune playlist…yes, I just did. Follow me if you like. I think I will flow blissfully along this river of sound today.
I’ll leave you with another song by FaceSoul, Love:
I hope this is helpful!
Until tomorrow,
