Good morning, friends!
Okay, let’s get into… the astrology
Tuesday, the Moon in Gemini isn’t really doing too much. While we were sleeping, the Moon formed a trine to the Sun in Aquarius, a sextile to Chiron in Aries, and a sesquiquadrate to Pluto in Capricorn.
So, we could’ve had a good night last night that felt harmonious, like our circumstances were in alignment with our true purpose, destiny, or our calling. We could’ve had nice dreams that felt very healing in nature. When we woke up, the downside may have been that it was an actual dream and not real life!
The only aspect the Moon will make today is a quincunx to Mercury in Capricorn. This gives the idea that we don’t want to think about whatever messages we are receiving because we don’t want to feel the feelings that they bring up. There could be gossip, lies, or rumors that we want nothing to do with. Or this could simply mean that there’s paperwork we need to do, like taxes, that we would really rather not!
Mercury is the planet that was called the Master of Arguments and represents changes in our environment. When Mercury is involved with a transit, there will be something that is exchanged: an idea, a message, or some information that is delivered and received. What’s interesting with the quincunx is that these two planets, in this case, the Moon and Mercury, don’t want to talk to each other like a dissonant chord in music, it just doesn’t sound right and you really, really, really want to find the harmonious one and play that—it creates an inner tension that makes you feel very uncomfortable.
The Moon represents our feelings, our emotions, and how we fulfill our needs.
So, these two planets are very uncomfortable with each other right now--there’s some sort of information that is trying to come in, but emotionally we don’t want it--And they are moving toward their opposition where this uncomfortable feeling will come to a head and a decision will need to be made. Right now, they can just try to avoid each other, but once the opposition forms, they will be forced to come to a compromise or a more finalized separation.
The Moon will oppose Mercury on Friday when she is in the sign of Cancer, so this energy could be building up over the next couple of days. In my own life, I know this has to do with getting my taxes done, LOL! I can see myself procrastinating until it reaches a sort of crisis point and I have to get it done, or else!
On Tuesday night, the Moon will enter the 3° range of engagement to a square to Neptune in Pisces—this will start around 8 pm ET and won’t perfect until about 2 am early Wednesday morning. So, this is an important transit to be aware of in that it could bring feelings of loss, confusion, or self-deception. There could be an emotional disappointment, the desire to escape, or secrets that are revealed. We’ll talk more about this tomorrow, but I just wanted everyone to be aware that this energy will be building up late Tuesday night.
Let’s move on to the card for the day:
What is the guidance for today?
II High Priestess—Reversed
On this card we see the High Priestess with her high-collared cloak, a crown of moons, and a crescent broach, holding a book in her hands.
In the upright position, the High priestess is all about trusting our intuition and tuning into that sacred reservoir of knowledge and wisdom that comes from the subconscious mind. This card coming up usually means the answers you are looking for will come from within.
In the reversed position, it means feeling disconnected from our intuition or feeling very influenced by the thoughts and feelings of others and thus not listening to our own inner guidance.
As the card for the day, I feel this means that we have not been paying attention to our own inner guidance and we need to stop what we are doing and tune in to our intuition and really listen. It is also a reminder to trust yourself and your intuitive hits.
So, tying this card into the Astrology, it is interesting that this is coming up with the Moon in a quincunx to Mercury—representing not wanting to listen to the messages that are coming in…could this represent our own intuitive messages that we are ignoring? Like we don’t want to listen or can’t believe the information we are receiving and thus we are discounting it? Brushing it off as rumors, hearsay, or crazy talk?
