Good morning, friends!
Okay, let’s get into… the astrology
The winds of change are here. A huge, mutable T-square forms in the sky between Pisces, Sagittarius, and Gemini. Waves wash away houses on the shores. The threat of war looms on the horizon. Tensions are palpable in the undercurrents and whispers. I feel like I am watching the opening scene of the first Lord of the Rings movie. I can hear Cate Blanchett’s voice, as Galadriel saying,
"The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Much that once was is lost, for none now live who remember it. It began with the forging of the Great Rings. Three were given to the Elves, immortal, wisest and fairest of all beings. Seven to the Dwarf lords, great miners and craftsmen of the mountain halls. And nine, nine rings were gifted to the race of Men, who, above all else, desire power. But they were, all of them, deceived, for another ring was made. In the land of Mordor, in the fires of Mount Doom, the Dark Lord Sauron forged in secret a Master Ring, to control all others. And into this ring he poured his cruelty, his malice and his will to dominate all life. One Ring to rule them all!" 1

But instead of the power given to Elves, Dwarves, and Men, it’s to Fish (Pisces), Centaurs (Sagittarius), and Men (Gemini), as symbolized by the signs of this massive T-square forming today between the Sun, Neptune, Mercury, the Moon, and Mars.
I feel like the astrology of this whole month is historical and prologues such as that will be written about the changes that are occurring this month that are setting the stage for many years to come.
First, Mars in Gemini will form a square to Neptune in Pisces at 25° 04’ of their respective signs at 7:38 pm ET. This is the final square in this series of squares from Mars in Gemini to Neptune in Pisces since August of 2022. Each square, so far, has seen historical events take place. Look back to September/October of 2022 and again to Mid-November for archetypal combinations and you will see news of explosions. Plus, Mars is exiting the shadow phase of his retrograde in Gemini at 25°36’, tomorrow night at 11:14 pm ET, bringing closure to this whole retrograde cycle in Gemini for the last 7 months.
Mars is the god of war, explosions, and aggression and Neptune is the god of the ocean, our dreams, and connects us to a higher spiritual plane. When these two coming together in a hard aspect, such as a square we may see big events such as explosions, eruptions, and blasts that create sorrow, loss, and victimization. Mars square Neptune could feel like a great big energy drain, or there could be deception, fraud, and exploitation. Problems with drugs and alcohol could be a big deal, as well.
So, I am not sure what will happen today or in the coming days that will fit this archetype, but I wouldn’t be surprised to hear about flares and fits, explosions and bombs, or the acts of modern-day pirates.
This transit between Mars and Neptune will be partile as they cruise along together at 25° of their respective signs for the next three days and they will stay within the 3-degrees of engagement until March 21, 2023 when Mars finally starts to separate from the square. So, for the next week, we will feel this energy at its peak.
Secondly, the Sun is only one degree away from its exact conjunction to Neptune in Pisces, so we are feeling this energy building, big time.
The Sun represents our spirit, our soul, and according to astrologer Anthony Louis is the “cosmic bringer of life” (Louis, 2008)2. Louis describes Neptune as, “a universal solvent dissolving the clear boundaries set up by Saturn” (Louis, 2008). Neptune also represents our dreams, the Sun our ambitions, and Saturn the structures in our lives.
I found this archetypal combination clearly present in an article in The Washington Post written by Brady Davis, that came across my feed today of a town on the coast of North Carolina that is being destroyed, one house at a time, by the encroaching ocean. In the article, one line spoken by county commissioner Danny Couch, stood out so poignantly representing the Sun, Neptune, and now Saturn all in Pisces, “The reality is, it’s just structures — bricks and mortar. But at the same time, it’s somebody’s dreams.” (Davis, 2023)3
With the conjunction of the Sun with Neptune we can see a variety of different things, a few possibilities could be having a heightened imagination, amped-up creativity, or a profound spiritual experience. Swinging the other way, one could experience loss, sorrow, and disappointment, like the dreams lost by your house being swept away by the ocean, something you thought was constant, like the Sun, being dissolved and engulfed by water.
Lastly, the Moon will reach her Third Quarter square to the Sun, and Neptune since they are so close, at 10:08 pm ET tonight, forming the powerful T-square as she simultaneously opposes Mars in the process. All in mutable signs! Not to mention, that she has also just made a square to Mercury in Pisces, as well.
This feels like a huge crisis point, an explosion of change and revelations! The Moon represents our feelings, our body, and how we seek emotional security, and when that is threatened by Mars, the lesser malefic, who brings war and destruction, this screams fights, conflicts, and major tension. Couple this opposition with the Moon’s square to Mercury, the Sun, and Neptune and you have an existential crisis! Something’s gotta give to release the pressure! The apex of the T-square is always a huge trigger point and the apex in this case, is Mercury, the Sun, and Neptune—what do you get when you mix the hot, fiery Sun with the ocean? Steam! Geysers! A huge eruption of steam and jets of water shoot out to release the pressure! With Mercury so close, one has to entertain the idea that information, messages, or announcements are involved in the triggering of this.
So, that’s what can be expected for today…geyser-like activity!

What is the guidance for today?
48 YOD —Destiny
The YOD card indicates that today is a fated day. When this card shows up it’s a symbol that our destiny and fate are intertwined.
As the guidance for the day, I feel that this card is saying that we need to trust in the process, even if it seems chaotic because all things will work out as they’re meant to in the end and there’s really nothing we can do. It’s out of our hands. Today we need to call upon our inner strengths, stand strong, and try to remain calm. The balance will be restored after the tension has passed.
