Okay, let’s get into… the astrology

(All times are in Eastern Time (ET) unless mentioned otherwise)

Well, yesterday was the “wild-card-plus-reality-checks” New Moon in Scorpio!  It will be very interesting to see what manifests during this next lunar cycle as this is such unpredictable energy that we are dealing with!

New Moons herald new beginnings and with Mars and the Sun in opposition to Uranus, during yesterday’s New Moon, we don’t know exactly what surprises to expect, but what we can count on is sudden, willful, new beginnings and unpredictable breakthroughs!  Could be very disruptive and chaotic or very exciting!

Looking ahead this week, the biggest and most pronounced transit coming up is the Sun conjoining Mars on Saturday, November 18, 2023.  When the Sun conjoins a planet or vice versa, it is called Cazimi and represents a special conjunction with the Sun where the other planet goes through a death and rebirth process.  This occurs because as the planet gets closer and closer to the Sun or the Sun to it, it is obscured by the Sun’s rays and we cannot see it anymore, representing a metaphorical death, and then as they separate the planet re-emerges in either the dawn or dusk sky and is reborn.  This transit also starts over the synodic cycle between Mars and the Sun from this cazimi until their next cazimi, just like we follow the Moon from New to Full and back to New, so too can we follow the planets’ synodic cycles with the Sun.

So, Mars will be cazimi and this place is said to be like being at “the heart of the Sun,” or  “in the lap of the King,” and usually represents an ending of the old cycle and the beginning of a new cycle as the planet goes through the death and rebirth process that I just outlined above.

We may see, feel, or experience, an ending and simultaneously a beginning of Martian themes like war, passion, and aggression.  In our personal lives, this could feel like a renewal of our drive, fervor, and energy toward things that we are passionate about, our sexual libidos, and anything we need to put a great deal of physical energy, stamina, and strength toward.

On Friday, the day before the Cazimi perfects, Mars and the Sun will be in a partile conjunction, meaning that they will be in the same degree of Scorpio, but not to the minute, but very close together, and they will both form trines to Neptune.  First Mars will trine Neptune and then the Sun, as they are traveling together.

These trines to Neptune in Pisces retrograde from Mars and the Sun in Scorpio could be powerful and symbolize passion, drive, ambition, and harmony with something divine, otherworldly, spiritual, musical, or artistic.  People could have passionate sexual interactions, receive signs from the Universe that they are on the right path, enjoy beautifully deep music, or have life-changing spiritual experiences that sort of cool and tone down or satiate the heat and intensity of the Sun and Mars together.

We end the Weekly Forecast on Monday with the First Quarter Moon in Aquarius forming a square to the Sun in Scorpio indicating a crisis moment where decisions are made about the next steps along our journeys and I feel like this First Quarter square may be like adding oxygen to an already burning fire, feeding it even more and whatever subtle soothing affect that Neptune had may be lost as the fires burn wildly again on Monday!

Before we get into the daily horoscopes, first let’s talk about the Moon.

The Moon starts the week out in the optimistic, hedonistic, and philosophical sign of Sagittarius and moves into the goal-oriented, practical, and conservative sign of Capricorn on Thursday.  Then she will ingress into the futuristic, philanthropic, and detached sign of Aquarius on Saturday and stay there until next Monday when she will ingress into the spiritual, intuitive, and creative sign of Pisces.

So, let’s look at this by mode and element: the workweek is mutable fire and cardinal earth—inspired vision and a hardworking demeanor and dare I say full of humorous attempts to laugh at our situations.  The weekend is dominated by fixed air—mental detachment, social connections, and opinionated conversations.  Next week starts in mutable water—emotional change, spiritual connections, and universal music.

Now we’ll go over each day of the week and touch on the most important transits for that day and then we’ll do a 3-card tarot spread for the week.

TUESDAY, November 14, 2023

The Moon

On Tuesday the Moon will be in Sagittarius all day so we may feel like creating a vision board or a collection of ideas on Pinterest for our next road trip!   We could be laughing at ourselves about whatever wild or surprising events transpired over the weekend and with the New Moon.  It could also be a time when we feel righteous, justified, and stubborn about our beliefs.  Sagittarius Moon can be both wide open to new ideas as well as very virtuous about what they feel is right.  On Tuesday you and others around you may be feeling optimistic, adventurous, and self-indulgent.

The Sun is only 1°13’ away from his conjunction to Mars, meaning that Mars is combust and is obscured by the light of the Sun.  As the Sun gets closer and closer to Mars, we can feel Martian themes grow in intensity: anger, aggression, sexual desires, and passion.

The Transits

Just after midnight on Monday night, technically really early in the morning on Tuesday, at 12:43 am, the Moon in Sagittarius forms an antiscia with Pluto in Capricorn symbolizing a hidden conjunction between the Moon and Pluto.  Like turning the flames of your campfire blue by adding a powdered chemical, this transit could create some edge and emotional intensity on Monday night into Tuesday that permeates the whole day.  The Moon and Pluto could signify emotional transformation, radical, and irrevocable change, and since they are in an antiscia with each other this may be something that is secret, kept under the radar, behind closed doors, or felt in a private way.

Tuesday morning may be very pleasant as we have two transits that signify harmony, joy, and pleasantries: the Moon in Sagittarius conjoining Mercury and then making a sextile to Venus in Libra.  This combination represents hopeful, optimistic, and loving interactions and conversations with family, friends, and lovers.

In the afternoon on Tuesday, the Moon makes a quincunx to Jupiter in Taurus retrograde indicating that although we have been feeling really good all day there may be something that is off in terms of our long-term visions and our immediate circumstances.

Tuesday evening could feel a bit emotionally blocked because at 9:03 pm the Moon in Sagittarius perfects a semisquare to Pluto in Capricorn, symbolizing deep emotions that don’t have an outlet or an emotional crisis that gets put on the back burner because the day has been so good and you don’t want to ruin it.  Something truthful, hidden, and potent that starts to nag at your heart, but it’s not the time to explore it fully yet.  The transformation that Pluto brings has to wait.  Or maybe it’s more of an internal pressure that is felt where you are contemplating the changes happening on the inside but you are not ready to share them in an outward way at this time.

WEDNESDAY, November 15, 2023

The Moon

On Wednesday, the Moon will be in comedic Sagittarius all day, so there could be a lot of humor throughout the day to take the edge off!

The Sun is only 1°05’ away from its conjunction to Mars.  The energy of their conjunction is getting stronger.

The Transits

In the morning, love may be on our minds.  We may wake up with pleasant thoughts about those we love.  Mercury in Sagittarius forms a sextile to Venus in Libra this morning at 7:48 am which symbolizes the desire for flowing conversations, general merriment, music and art, and just general good spirits!  We may have the desire to connect with friends and lovers and have fun conversations and interactions.

Couple this with the Sun forming a semisquare to Venus and there may be some longing for deeper connection or physical affection.  Maybe you are able to talk on the phone with your sweetie but you are physically in different locations or maybe you have a pleasant morning, but there’s a tense moment.  With Mercury in Sagittarius though you are able to smooth it over with comedy and smiles.

In the evening there may be the desire to escape, take a break, or connect in a sensual way with someone as the Moon in Sagittarius perfects a square to Neptune in Pisces retrograde at 5:56 pm.  The Moon represents our emotions, our bodies, and how we nurture others and ourselves and Neptune symbolizes dissolving boundaries, otherworldy or spiritual things, and pleasure-seeking activities.  When the Moon and Neptune form a square we could feel the desire to escape into different realities or soothe our tired bodies by taking hot baths or getting a massage.  We could also escape into art, music, and poetry.  Dreams are also heightened during Moon/Neptune transits so you can experience vivid dreams, sensual and surreal dreams.

While you are taking a soothing bath, Mercury in Sagittarius perfects a quincunx to Jupiter in Taurus retrograde and this could be a period of mental reflection.  You may be wondering how all the pieces of your life fit together and be trying to wrap your head around it all.  Where is it all leading?  Which road is the “correct” one to take?  You may learn something that blows your mind and you spend the evening integrating this new information.

THURSDAY, November 16, 2023

The Moon

On Thursday, the Moon ingresses into Capricorn at 2:41 am, so we may feel the energy shift from the hopeful, optimistic, and free-spirited sign of Sagittarius and into the more practical, goal-oriented, and moody sign of Capricorn.

The Moon is in her detriment in Capricorn and therefore the emotions can get pretty heavy.  There could be the feeling that we just have to suffer through it all, like Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh.  Now, I don’t mean to say that natives with Capricorn Moons are not optimistic or philosophical, I am just saying that there is a seriousness to them.

You may feel yourself or notice others at this time get a bit more serious about their lives and start to draw their energy in towards themselves and their goals.

The Sun is only 0°36’ away from its conjunction to Mars.  The Sun is at 23°Scorpio 34’ and Mars is at 24°Scorpio 10’ at 12:01 am and by 10 am Thursday, the Sun hits 24° and their partile conjunction officially begins!  The heat is rising between the two and it may be palpable, visceral, and passionate!

The Transits

Thursday is quincunx day!  So things could feel strange, odd, or uncomfortable as you try to wrap yourself around the new information today.

Following the Moon’s ingress into Capricorn, early in the morning, Venus in Libra will form a quincunx to Jupiter in Taurus retrograde and just like yesterday, when Mercury made a quincunx to Jupiter retrograde and you may have been stuck in your head trying to put all the pieces together, now on Thursday you are trying to wrap your heart around it all too.

Venus is the planet of love, affection, beauty, and sensuality and Jupiter is the planet of hope, redemption, and vision and together they are the Benefic planets of our solar system.  Together, in any aspect, they represent blessings, hope, and the possibility of more abundance and good fortune.  The quincunx is an odd 150° that symbolizes change and separation, so when we see this angle between the two benefics it’s as if they are arguing about which way to bestow good fortune!  Venus in Libra wants peace, harmony, love, and affection through relationships and Jupiter in Taurus wants an earthly connection to all finer things in life, he wants to possess items of luxury and through that bestow abundance and good fortune.  The quincunx could be a time when we can’t believe our luck because something amazing has come our way, but it may clash with a certain value that you have and in order to receive it you have to open your heart or mind.  It’s a transit that changes your value system and it may feel odd, uncomfortable, and strange as you didn’t know your heart and soul could grow that way.  Or it could simply mean receiving some sort of gift or giving one, in an odd way.

Then in the afternoon, the Moon in Capricorn makes a sesquiquadrate to Uranus in Taurus retrograde so there could be delays or setbacks that challenge the Moon’s calm and collected demeanor and then Mars in Scorpio forms a quincunx to the North Node in Aries intensifying the heat!

In the evening, between 5:45 and 7:45 pm, the Moon in Capricorn makes several aspects.  First, a trine to Jupiter in Taurus retrograde, then a semisquare to the Sun in Scorpio, followed by a square to Venus in Libra, and finally a semisquare to Mars in Scorpio.

With the Sun and Mars getting so close, this lunar combination looks like a very passionate dance on the dance floor!

First, the Moon in Capricorn and Jupiter in Taurus retrograde in a trine is positive in that Jupiter is in the exaltation of the Moon and so he wants to swoop in and make her happy with gifts of prosperity, abundance, and fertility!

Then the Moon in Capricorn semisquare the Sun and Mars which are both in Scorpio, means that there is something primal, guttural, dark, and passionate brewing that can’t go anywhere yet.  The pressure is building and soon it’s going to blow!

And finally, the Moon in Capricorn square Venus in Libra represents a tension in love, challenges or fights between women or family members, or a conflict between our emotions and our values.  Both in Cardinal signs mean that something will start from this square.

Putting it all together, I feel this set of transits represents a very charged evening where love, affection, and sexual tension are really thick.

We end the evening at 11:26 pm, on sort of an odd note, as the Sun in Scorpio makes a quincunx to the North Node in Aries, so there could be an increase in our appetites, drives, and desires for independence and freedom.

FRIDAY, November 17, 2023

The Moon

On Friday, the Moon will be in hardworking Capricorn all day.  The Moon in Capricorn is a deep-thinker, a bit of a worrier, and has a seriousness to them that can come off as sort of pessimistic and cryptic.

At 12:01 a.m. the Sun and Mars are in a partile conjunction, both now at 24°Scorpio and are only 0°19’ away from perfecting their exact conjunction.  The intensity is very, very strong today and underlies all the other transits.  We could be feeling any number of Martian-like manifestations: anger, aggression, irritability, increased sexual desires, passion, possessiveness, and obsessions.

The Transits

The first bookend of Friday starts us off with that pressure that I talked about yesterday, being released with Mars in Scorpio trine Neptune in Pisces retrograde.  Mars and Neptune in a harmonious trine can represent the sudden and rapid release of inspired desires and idealized sexual encounters. We could experience great enthusiasm, divine motivations, vivid dreams that inspire us to take action, and intuitive insights!

Following this explosion of energy is a semisquare between Venus in Libra and Mars in Scorpio at 7:20 am, and this is important, as Venus and Mars have not actually had an aspect since April 1, 2023!  They started their last cycle with each other with their conjunction at the end of February 2022 at the end of Capricorn and into the first degree of Aquarius and then they almost conjoined again in July of 2023 when they were both in Leo, but Venus stationed retrograde just a few degrees before they would’ve come together.  Ever since July they have been hovering between 45 and 60 degrees but never actually making a real aspect to each other, so this is the first contact since the summer.

Now, Venus and Mars are both in their own signs and are coming from a confident and empowered space.  The semi-square is an aspect of tension and trying to get something but getting nowhere.  This is how this transit could feel.  You and the people around you could be feeling a great longing and need toward something exciting, beautiful, passionate, and magnetic but there are still obstacles, blocks, or setbacks in the way.

Venus and Mars will finally come together after a long cycle at the end of February 2024, in Aquarius.

A couple of hours after Venus semisquares Mars, the Sun in Scorpio forms a trine Neptune in Pisces retrograde and it’s like someone opened the faucet of sunshine and rainbows and all the beautiful rays are pouring out like a make-believe cartoon or surreal dream.  The Sun and Neptune in a harmonious trine could symbolize great compassion, heightened imagination, and spiritual illumination.  It could feel like a rush of divine light!

Skipping to the afternoon on Friday, the Moon in Capricorn forms a trine of her own, but to Uranus in Taurus retrograde and this may bring about something shocking, wild, and revolutionary.  People may feel free, uninhibited, and independent.  Whatever comes will be a surprise!

Later in the evening on Friday at 9:01 pm, the Moon in Capricorn forms squares to the Nodes, and what this means is that there will be a concrete event that may take place that pushes the story forward.  What exactly this will be will be very personal to each person as it has to do with what houses and planets the Moon and the Nodes are activating in your chart.

To finish out Friday night, our final bookend is threefold, the Moon will forms three consecutive sexiles first to Neptune in Pisces retrograde, then to the Sun, and finally to Mars, both in Scorpio.  This little pas de bourrées of sextiles indicates the possibility of feeling very much in alignment with your path and the emotional landscape that you are traversing.  Something about everything that is going on just feels right.

The Weekend

SATURDAY, November 18, 2023

The Moon

On Saturday, the Moon leaves Capricorn and ingresses into Aquarius at 6:27 am, so we may feel the energy shift from the business-like demeanor of Capricorn to the futuristic, detached, and edgy energy of Aquarius.

Aquarius is an air sign so that means it’s about connecting with others, networking, and engaging with groups, but not just for the sake of being social, but because there’s a higher purpose in building a community.  They are the humanitarians of the zodiac and when the Moon is in this sign you may notice yourself and others being more concerned with the well-being of the less fortunate, the outcast, or the oppressed.

The Transits

At 12:41 am the Sun and Mars finally conjoin at 25°Scorpio 35’ and this combination is hot, fiery, and carries a great amount of potential energy for both creation and destruction.

The light of Mars is completely consumed by the Sun and for a moment today, he sits in the lap of the King!  This brings great power and even more intensity to Mars and since he is in his own domicile of Scorpio this could supercharge the feelings of passion, aggression, and action!

You could observe yourself and others feeling very charged up, having a lot more energy, stamina, and force behind your actions, as well as an increase in sexual and intimate desires.  Again, any sort of Martian-like manifestations may be felt, aggression, anger, irritability, sexual passion, possessiveness, and obsessions.

Mars and the Sun together in Scorpio are very direct, to the point, focused, and driven.  There could be a heightened sense of what we want and where we are going in our lives.

Since Mars also signifies destruction and death there could be things in your life that you decide to tear down and get rid of in order for new things to grow.  Like how a forest fire burns the trees in order to replenish the soil, there is this type of destruction in order to promote growth.

As if the Sun and Mars coming together wasn’t enough, we have three other transits that I’d like to touch on for Saturday.

At 1:06 am the Moon in Capricorn forms a semisquare to Mercury in Sagittarius and this can represent misunderstandings, miscommunications, or messages not getting received.  This may be a bit irritating.

A couple hours later the feelings could get even more intense when at 3:27 am the Moon conjoins Pluto in Capricorn.  Ouch!  Truthful feelings may come to the surface and with all this Sun/Mars energy this is hot, fiery, passionate, and volatile energy!

The energy may get a bit more focused on creating things that everyone can benefit from as the Moon ingresses into Aquarius at 6:27 am and then perfects a square to Jupiter in Taurus retrograde at 8:49 am.  The square between the Moon and Jupiter may give us the agency to create something beautiful out of all this intense energy.  Moon and Jupiter together can mean the desire for more good fortune and blessings, but the square aspect means there is possible struggle, strife, or work involved in making it so.  There could also be a tendency to overspend or be overly optimistic during this time, but because Jupiter is in the exaltation sign of the Moon, I feel this may work out positively in the end.

SUNDAY, November 19, 2023

The Moon

The Moon will be in Aquarius all day allowing our minds to step back from the emotionality of it all and try to create logical solutions to our problems.

The Sun has now passed Mars by 28’, not enough to be out of the 3° range of engagement.

The Transits

In the morning, the Moon in Aquarius will form a trine Venus in Libra and then a sextile to Mercury in Sagittarius reactivating their recent sextile energy and love again may be on our minds.  With the Moon in Aquarius now instead of Sagittarius when Mercury and Venus formed their sextile this week, we could feel very different about our emotional attachment to what we are feeling, thinking, and experiencing.

In the afternoon on Sunday, things could get wild as some sort of unpredictable circumstance, emotion, or family event suddenly pops up and creates some havoc!  The Moon in Aquarius perfects a square to Uranus in Taurus retrograde Sunday afternoon and that is why!  So, be prepared for something unexpected, surprising, or revolutionary to happen on a personal level around this transit.

Next Week

MONDAY, November 20, 2023

The Moon

On Monday, the Moon will be in Aquarius until she ingresses into Pisces at 9:29 am, but she has a lot to do before she gets to Pisces!

The Sun has now passed Mars by 47’. The Sun and Mars will not leave the 3° range of engagement until November 26, 2023, which will be after they both ingress into Sagittarius on the 22nd and 24th, and the sun reaches 4°, with Mars trailing behind at 1°. This just happens to be my birthday, FYI! So, we have the next whole week after the cazimi where Mars and the Sun are still engaged in their conjunction.

The Transits

At exactly 4:38 am on Monday, the Moon in Aquarius perfects a square Mars and then makes her First Quarter square to the Sun an hour later at 5:49 am.

So, not only did we have the New Moon last week conjunct Mars, but now we also have the First Quarter phase in a square to Mars as well!  This means fights, aggressive attitudes, strife, discord, and intense passion, drive, and desires!

The First Quarter phase is about taking steps towards individuation and building your own life on your own merit so there could be a crisis point or turning point where you make a decision to be more independent and self-sufficient with this transit.  With the Moon in Aquarius in the inferior position, this could create a lot of emotional challenges for the Aquarian Moon energy—a lot of emotions could be coming up that the Moon does not want to look at when she is in Aquarius.  On another note, this combo could mean that we are extremely emotionally detached in the face of sudden upheaval, change, and transformation, and only after the crisis has passed will we allow ourselves to feel all the feels.  These feelings are coming up, though, because after the Moon ingresses into Pisces, they will no longer be able to be kept down.

At 9:29 am the Moon enters Pisces and it’s time to take a swim through the “emotion ocean.”  In the post, “The “Emotion Ocean” Explained,” I said that,

“The water sign [moons] have to swim through the waves to get anywhere and oftentimes they have to sink all the way down to the bottom of the “emotion ocean” and make their journey from there--at the bottom.

Walking in the ocean is hard work—the pressure from the water creates strong resistance and the currents can push, pull, suck, and spin you all around.  It can be really confusing.  It can be really dark and scary.  It can also be beautiful.

Sometimes the ocean is shallow and we can see the circle of light that marks the surface, helping to guide us along.  But other times the ocean is so deep that all we see is darkness surrounding us and we have to use our intuition to guide us through.” (AstroMommy, 2023)

We may have to heavily lean on our intuition as right after the Moon enters Pisces she conjoins Saturn in Pisces one hour later.  This is a reality check.  The Moon and Saturn coming together can mean feelings of depression, melancholy, isolation, despair, and loneliness.  The happiness that you seek is elsewhere and you are alone on a rocky islet in the middle of the sea.  If you feel an emotional heaviness at this time, you are feeling the pressure from Saturn.

On Monday afternoon, the Sun in Scorpio perfects a sextile to Pluto in Capricorn, followed by Mercury in Sagittarius making a trine to Chiron in Aries retrograde in the late evening.  This means there are great opportunities to talk about how you’re feeling and share your sadness and deep feelings with others who may be feeling the same.  This could be very healing.

The Tarot Spread

Let’s move on to a 4-card spread for the week representing…

Your Aspiration, the Obstacle, How to Overcome, and the Outcome.

The first card representing Your Aspiration is:

Knight of Cups

The Knight of Cups holds his cup in front of him and gazes straight forward as though he is about to hand it to you through the card.  He holds the cup with both hands because he doesn’t want the contents to spill.  A guiding star shines high above him and his golden hair is encompassed by a halo of white symbolizing purity of heart.

In the upright position, the Knight of Cups represents someone on a mission motivated by love, emotions, intuition, and the desire for beauty.  There is action in this card, symbolized by the knight’s intense gaze ahead and the feeling like he’s about to hand you the goblet, but it is not quick or forced action, it is steady and guided by the heart.

This could symbolize a romantic gesture or loving message.  He represents someone who is charming, tactful, and classically romantic.  Someone who is compassionate, understanding, caring, and shares his love freely.

It can also represent taking action on something or making a decision about something that comes from an internal place of knowing it’s the right thing; the most loving thing.

As the card for your aspiration, I feel that you desire to give and receive love.  This card means love or support from the heart is a real possibility.

The second card representing The obstacle is:

Two cards jumped out for this placement!

Santeria 2 Olofi (Two of Pentacles) And Rada 5 Ogoun Ferraille (Five of Swords)

Since these two cards came out together, we have to look at them together.

Santeria 2 Olofi is about balancing worlds and it’s about the upcoming inevitable change.  While a new world is growing inside, there are worlds to take care of outside as well.  The obstacle then is about how to balance both your internal and external worlds as you approach great changes.

Rada 5 Ogoun Ferraille is about fighting, struggle, arguments, and being brave even though there is a chance of failure, loss, and defeat.  You may be fighting with yourself about how to balance your internal and external environments and there may be fear about losing, failing, or being defeated.

So, the obstacles are balancing your inner and external worlds as you are growing and changing as a human being and it is a mental struggle, causing some fear and doubt.

And the third card represents How to Overcome:

Again, two cards jumped out!!

The Matriarch of Pipes (Queen of Wands) And 16 The Tower

Looking at these two cards together, we can see that how you overcome this internal/external struggle within yourself is to remove some sort of structure that you have been dependent on, which is symbolized by The Tower card.  Hopefully, this placement means that you have a choice in the matter, otherwise, this could represent a Tower card moment forcing you to take action in your life, which would fit the transits that we’ve been dealing with very well, but one could hope we have some say in the matter, so The Tower card here is a major heads up!  So, far it is the only Major Arcana card as well.

The Matriarch of Pipes is saying that you overcome your obstacles by being in your truth, feeling empowered, and behaving in a way that is adaptable, persistent, and with calm authority.  The Native American Tarot guidebook says, “Her capacity for friendship and love is immense, but the initiative must be her own,” (Gonzalez, 1982)1 and I feel this is an important key component for this reading since it started out with the Knight of Cups which talks of love and friendship, so there is some choice in this matter.

The fourth card representing the Outcome is:

IX of Pentacles

The Nine of Pentacles is about physical, spiritual, and emotional gain in your life.  It’s about being self-sufficient and caring for yourself in a way that you are not co-dependent on another for your needs and desires.  With self-sufficiency comes great freedom and independence!

So, to recap:

The aspiration is to give and receive love and love is a real possibility right now.

The obstacles are feeling like you are managing a lot and juggling your internal and external worlds and you may feel some mental stress about this.

How you overcome these obstacles is by removing the structures that no longer serve your highest good and are actually holding you back from becoming the best version of yourself.  Live in your truth and come from a place of empowerment and spiritual mastery.

The outcome is self-sufficiency, feelings of self-worth, independence, and freedom!

I love this reading with the Sun/Mars Cazimi that is building this week because it seems so perfect!  Mars is going through a rebirth and Mars is about how we take action and identify ourselves in the world and with his reemergence, we too will reemerge, brighter and stronger!

In conclusion for the weekly forecast…

I decided not to talk about famous people this week because, honestly, I was busy practicing my ballroom dance routine! I had a performance last Friday and so practicing took up a lot of my extra time.

But, I did research one celebrity, a Scorpio with a Sagittarius Moon and I’m talking about the one and only Anthony Kiedis, the lead singer of The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Kiedis has his Sagittarius Moon in his third whole sign house of communication. You can click here to see his birth chart.

While I was reading his bio, the song, “Knock Me Down” came into my head and so immediately I googled the lyrics which were written about a band member of theirs, Hillel Slovak, who died of a heroin overdose in 1989.

Keeping Kiedis’ Sagittarius Moon and Scorpio Sun in mind, I love this little blurb from their Wikipedia page that says,

“The song serves as a tribute to Slovak; according to Kiedis, "It was a song that described what it was like to be a drug addict, to have that ego and to think you were impenetrable and impervious to the forces of nature and life. But it was also a love song for Hillel."

"Knock Me Down" became one of the most radical shifts in style for the band. The introspective lyrics, which analyze the death of Slovak and the devastating effect drugs can have, were a new approach for Kiedis, who primarily wrote of sexual intercourse and a hedonistic lifestyle.” (Knock Me Down, Wikipedia, 2023)

Kiedis struggled with drugs as well and has since become a vegan and now practices yoga to redeem himself, which is very characteristically Sagittarius.

But, I love this song and it also reminds me of the Sun/Mars Cazimi in Scorpio along with Mercury in Sagittarius this week—people feeling like they have the power of the Sun behind them and therefore can do or say what they want!

The lyrics are deeply Scorpio and righteously Sagittarius! I have attached them at the end of the post.2

Knock Me Down

Song by Red Hot Chili Peppers

Lyrics

Never too soon to be through
Being cool too much too soon
Too much for me, too much for you
You're gonna lose in time

Don't be afraid to show your friends
That you hurt inside, inside
Pain's part of life, don't hide behind your false pride
It's a lie, your lie

If you see me getting mighty
If you see me getting high
Knock me down
I'm not bigger than life

If you see me getting mighty (ooh)
If you see me getting high
Knock me down (knock me down)
I'm not bigger than life

I'm tired of being untouchable
I'm not above the love
I'm part of you and you're part of me
Why did you go away?

Finding what you're looking for
Can end up being, being such a bore
I pray for you most every day
My love's with you
Now fly away

If you see me getting mighty
If you see me getting high
Knock me down
I'm not bigger than life

If you see me getting mighty (ooh)
If you see me getting high
Knock me down (knock me down)
I'm not bigger than life

If you see me getting mighty
If you see me getting high
Knock me down
I'm not bigger than life

If you see me getting mighty (ooh)
If you see me getting high
Knock me down (knock me down)
I'm not bigger than life

If you see me getting mighty (see me)
If you see me getting high (getting mighty)
Knock me down (knock me down)
I'm not bigger than life

If you see me getting mighty (see me)
If you see me getting high (getting mighty)
Knock me down (knock me down)
I'm not bigger than life

If you see me getting mighty
If you see me getting high
Knock me down
I'm not bigger than life

If you see me getting mighty
If you see me getting high
Knock me down
I'm not bigger than life

It's so lonely when you don't even know yourself (Oh, so lonely)
It's so lonely (yeah)
It's so lonely when you don't even know yourself (oh)
It's so lonely (oh yeah)
It's so lonely when you don't even know yourself
It's so lonely
It's so lonely when you don't even know yourself
