The Devil In My Dreams
By AstroMommy
In my dream, we weren’t platonic
You paid me a dime for a kiss
Looking at me with care and lust in your eyes
Bright white eyes set in a deep black erudite face
Horns curling and reaching up, like the branches of a tree, backlit by moonlight
The kisses were exciting
Even in my dreams
They felt pleasurable
Not geriatric
But it was a courtship with the devil
perverse
erotic
and not for my highest good
you traced my body with ease and skill like a master calligrapher draws calligraphy
you opened my heart as effortlessly as a letter opener rips through paper
and warmed me up like a hot cup of tea, my sweet spots dripping like honey off a spoon in eager anticipation
and you were good at it—smooth—gentle—hot—and very thoughtful
I let your eyes and words unravel me, like a ball of yarn
I let the promises of your touch tangle up my feelings
Revealing my true nature
My elusive loyalty
The escalation of my orgasm
Falling silent around the guilt of being naughty
I no longer yearn for you
The devil in my dreams
For you broke my heart
As soon as my body jolted awake
And my soul snapped back inside my wall of flesh
You were gone
A phantom in the mist
Like a word I can’t remember the meaning of
Or a reason for entering a room that slipped my mind
And I was faced with the reality
Of consciousness
That cold slap in the face of truth
Holding a collection of empty promises and broken lies
In the crook of my throat
Voice lost
Because I cannot speak this dream to anyone
Who would believe me anyway?
The devil doesn’t make appearances anymore
He’s retired
Until Monday,
AstroMommy
