Aim
by AstroMommy
something inside me is stirring
like a naked woman wrapped in linen sheets
her skin slightly moist
like lips parted before a nightly kiss
is my courage to find out who she is yellowing
like a chicken being roasted for dinner
I salivate
At the thought of giving in
to my longings
but what are they for?
They seem directionless
Like an arrow still in its quiver
sweet dripping jasmine fills the room
and I give it the space it needs to fully
express itself, to be seen in my memory
heavy, succulent
scent that swirls your insides
like a summersault
a natural reaction to its aphrodisiacal properties
this feeling inside me
is linked I think
to remembering what it’s like to be in love
to feel the nourishing heat
warming your soul from the inside out
regenerating your willingness to trust
a swarm of butterflies alighting from the base of your spine to the center of your heart
invoking a smile
an inner knowing
the definition of your feelings
an empty beam, free of names
a set of pictures
emerging from your third chakra
generated from a deep vibration reaching down through the center of your body
to the center of the earth
to the center of your purpose
to consume
to be consumed
to create
from the decay and destruction of your English tongue
to the fertility and life-giving force of your heart
something inside me is stirring
like a naked woman wrapped in linen sheets
her skin slightly moist
like lips parted before a nightly kiss
What will be the trigger
that makes me pull the arrow from my quiver
And aim?
